If you are looking for a lap dog, who loves to snuggle, I’m your girl. My favorite thing to do is help my foster human do whatever needs to be done around the house. Whether it is folding the clothes or making the bed. I really like to ride in the car too. I just curl up and let the ride put me to sleep. I get along with other dogs, which is great because my foster house has 4 of them. I’m not quite potty trained but I am working on it. I do know how to go in and out of the doggy door but I’m not quite sure what to do once I’m out there. So if you need some help around the house or someone to snuggle with, please adopt me and make me yours. I promise I will be the sweetest girl you have ever known. I will be ready for my forever home the end of November.Robinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13490366625881666047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447091598718347923.post-79130776409916524472008-09-08T09:44:00.001-05:002008-09-08T09:46:22.296-05:00JAKE - ITALIAN GREYHOUNDHi, I’m Jake, aka “The Jakester” according to my foster people. I have been in my foster home a short while now and I’m unpacking some of my stuff, bit by bit, every day.
I walk proudly on leash and I always look forward to those walks with the other IG’s and Greyhounds. I am not even afraid of the big dogs anymore.
I am a big boy and should weigh around 20 lbs. when I get all my weight back which shouldn’t be any problem as I have a great appetite.
I am kind of quiet and reserved but I like to snuggle up while you’re watching TV. I have even started to seek out affection. I like my crate but have learned that the master bed under the covers is much more enjoyable.
I’m not into toys yet but that will likely change as I get more comfortable.
They tell me I need a little more work on my housebreaking but I am getting the hang of it.
I hope to meet you soon!

Robinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13490366625881666047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447091598718347923.post-35432276687446832422008-09-03T19:25:00.009-05:002008-09-03T19:49:49.959-05:00VINNIE - ITALIAN GREYHOUND

Vinnie is one of 5 iggies in my household. He plays well with the others, but knows that he's not the boss. He is a 14 month old male Italian greyhound. Vinnie has a very expressive face and it tugs on your heartstrings every time you look at him. He's lanky; long bodies and long legs. I love that all of his toenails are black. It looks like he's just had an incredible manicure and pedicure! Vinnie is a very loving iggie. He wants to be with me to snuggle and give little kisses, not too many though, whenever I sit on the couch. Vinnie loved the Olympics; more couch time than usual!

At night Vinnie sleeps in his crate though occasionally he sleeps in the human bed. He settles in and stays put all night. When I'm gone, Vinnie knows that he must be in his crate, but once I'm home he wants to be with me - and the other 4 iggies.
He seems to be housebroken. We have not had any belly band accidents. If he's not, he's well on his way. Vinnie should be ready for a forever home sometime after September 12.
Robinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13490366625881666047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447091598718347923.post-91076017783040842572008-07-20T13:59:00.007-05:002008-09-03T20:06:59.179-05:00RED - WHIPPET

Red needs someone very special and willing to spend some one on one time with him. Red is a very active dog, but quiets down at bedtime where he becomes the world's best snuggler in bed. At this point Red is not a crateable Whippet. He really needs to be with another dog because of this activity level and would probably get into more trouble without a companion to play with. He tends to be a barker and somewhat of an escape artist. He has dug under a wooden fence and climped a chain link fence. He is good about going out the doggie door. His foster mom loves Red and thinks he hung the moon!
Robinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13490366625881666047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447091598718347923.post-90825882324269754652007-09-18T23:50:00.008-05:002008-06-07T22:37:21.419-05:00WHIPPETSWe do get in Whippets from time to time.
