Aside from <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Git_(software)">git</a> being a great <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_revision_control">distributed revision control system</a>, this move was intended to allow easier collaboration with outside contributors.<br /><br />So go ahead, work on email-reminder, commit your changes and send me those patches you've always been meaning to upstream :)<br /><br />As a complement to this new distributed repository, I have also added an embedded <a href="http://www.kapiti.geek.nz/software/cil.html">cil</a> repository to keep track of bugs and future enhancements. Give it a try, it's a fantastic little command-line issue tracker that works beautifully with git.
