Probably the hardest part of the campaign came the night of the Grand Finale Gala when I attempted to tie my own bowtie. A tricky instrument, even with a few practice runs the week before I couldn't quite manage when it counted (I liken it to fixing a flat tire during a race). I eventually got it to work, or at least well enough, and with that out of the way the rest of the night wasn't so bad.
