The retreat is about stepping aside, slowing down, spending time with God. Our theme this year is "Coming to God." We'll look at how we approach to God, how God sees us and spend some time looking at the very basics of prayer. One of our desires is to never let money get in the way of ministry. There are always economic realities to what we do, but Wednesdays at the Peck'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17342444753773451293noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4363853193796987508.post-62758037414627444982009-01-03T08:39:00.002-05:002009-01-03T08:43:43.245-05:00Retreat 2009Retreat 2009 is January 16-18 at Mt Zion Retreat center in Roaring Branch, PA. It's very uncomfortable, makes it hard to sleep and slows me down a lot. The doctor says it's gout. I'm on my second medication for it since the first anti-inflamatory chose to act as a pro-inflamatory instead. But the second med doesn't seem to be doing much either. So, pray for me. Thank you much.Wednesdays at the Peck'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17342444753773451293noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4363853193796987508.post-11653514681045037182008-06-29T19:49:00.002-04:002008-06-29T20:13:09.698-04:00Early Meeting & FoodWe'll meet at 6 PM this week and kick things off with with pizza and wings. It is probably the greatest love story in the Bible and has a lot to say about how godly men and women live their lives. There are underlying themes of God's providential care, grace and caring for others. Of course, the main character of the book is Jesus. Yes, Jesus. We're going to study the second half of chapter 2 this week. Hope you can make it.Wednesdays at the Peck'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17342444753773451293noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4363853193796987508.post-11526291218865622692008-06-24T08:29:00.002-04:002008-06-24T08:30:37.157-04:00Ministry NewsSome of you are already aware of this, so you can stop reading.
