There's a double dose of good news for fans of the Marvel mercenary. Reynolds says Deadpool will breach the fourth wall: Break the fourth wall? Oh yeah, hes got to. I want to see him break the Great Wall."

Confirming what he recently told HitFix, Reynolds emphasised that he and 20th Century Fox were working to ensure that Deadpool close sticks as closely as possible to the Marvel comic-book: The studio's working on a script and trying to find a director. The main goal is to make sure it stays close to the source material."

So does Reynolds feel under pressure from fanboys? Im one of them. Ive always been a fan, at least for the last eight or nine years. I feel a bit of validation because I knew going into Wolverine that theres a huge fanbase for this and I dont think anyone else did."

SPOILER: One thing the annoyingly charming and funny leading man wouldn't go into was the little matter of that decapitation: That we wont speak of." So perhaps they haven't nailed the thorny problem of reattaching his head, unsewing his mouth and generally undoing the entire last act of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Still, it's comforting to know that the one name so far attached to the project is a die-hard fanboy, and we're currently basking in beautiful visions of a cross between Blade (without the vampires) and Ferris Bueller's Day Off (the bits where he talks to the audience): please don't burst our bubble.

Phil de Semlyen

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-91294938381606432852009-07-06T18:17:00.001-06:002009-07-06T18:19:38.422-06:00Best Albums Of 2008I finally finished my Best Albums Of 2008 list. I can be the king of procrastination sometimes. But finally here's my list. With all that being said please look over the list. I hope I influence you to maybe check out one or two of these albums. Director Ross Ching was simply a longtime fan of the band when he made the clip for "Little Bribes", a track off Death Cab's recent Open Door EP.

He uploaded the time-lapse-crazed clip to the web, and next thing you know, his beloved band declared his video totally official. Plus: A press release tells us Ching has been hired by DCFC label Atlantic to film another project.

Best of all: Unlike most fan-helmed videos, this one does not suck:

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-55933852921041555732009-03-19T23:28:00.001-06:002009-03-19T23:28:50.478-06:00The Living YearsThis weekend my cousin Michael is coming into town from Missouri.
I haven't seen him since last summer. There is something about
spending time with family I don't see very often, that takes me
back to my childhood. And also consumes me with thoughts about
my own mortality. Michael's parents have passed on. My Father has
passed on. It's always weird for me to think we are all gonna die
someday. It kind of sucks, having to get old and watch the ones you
love die. Don't get me wrong I enjoy life. But hate the idea of
seeing loved one after loved one pass on. As much as I love my life
now. I often think about the past and miss those days. I miss the
many relationships I took for granted and are now gone. So I guess
I just need to keep on living for today and make the most out of
todays present relationships.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-23079139000800029822009-03-11T02:50:00.002-06:002009-03-11T02:55:03.083-06:00The Wonder YearsI want to share one of my favorite childhood T.V. shows. In fact it's probably still one of my favorites. As a child I loved The Wonder Years. Even though the show was based in a different time period. I still found myself relating to it week after week. The show was great at touching on what every kid went through growing up. So I picked an episode that is a well balance of all that it is to be a kid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt78yA0R1aw

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-71041388376960382692009-03-09T12:27:00.002-06:002009-03-09T12:29:44.833-06:00No Line On The Horizon- U2<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 280px; height: 280px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KtBy__8E9k8/SbVf_sY7XLI/AAAAAAAAAC0/mI40Oxgc2PU/s320/nolineonthehorizon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311256883405479090" />
I'm one among many that always anticipate each new U2 album. The layoff between albums is always so tiring. So once the actual release date arrives. It's greeted with great relief on my part. One thing I have grown to like about the band is that with each new album they usually mix things up. And with each new album comes a different style and a different sound. Well this time around unlike the last two albums "All That You Can't Leave Behind" and "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" which were U2 by the numbers. Good but basic affairs which didn't take U2's sound to any new heights. This time around they seemed to come up with a bit of a retread again. With this new one
sounding like a bit of "Actung Baby" and "Pop." No new song structures or anything really diverse with different sounds. Musically we've already heard all this before. Which is fine considering they have probably already headed into the twilight of their career.

U2- No Line On The Horizon

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-60185806481689953982009-03-03T21:04:00.000-07:002009-03-03T21:05:16.650-07:00My First Trip To San DiegoMy friend Maria invited me to tag along with her to San Diego. She is thinking about relocating there. We spent little over 3 days there. The weather was perfect mid 70's pretty much the whole weekend. We stayed on the beach, you walk down the stairs and about 3 feet later you are on the beach. I couldn't of imagined a better scenario myself. She was a great tour guide. We visited plenty of beaches and many of the surrounding areas. Ocean beach and La Jolla were my favorite spots.

My last night there I found myself in the perfect scenario. I had the beach all to myself. So for about an hour or so I walked along the beach taking in God's creation. The sound of the waves hitting the shore is such a wonderful relaxing sound, it was so therapeutic. Just that very hour I spent along side the ocean made the whole trip worthwhile.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-86297430000225630672009-03-03T20:53:00.001-07:002009-03-03T21:03:57.230-07:00the Last Russian EmperorThis is a well put together video about Fedor Emelianenko the Russian MMa heavyweight king. The majority are awful, and almost all the rest are mediocre. There have been only a few good comic strips in the history of the world. Calvin and Hobbes is definitely one of them. Today Itook my car in for a standard oil change and a tire rotation.I was armed with my usual book and a book mark to boot. After hanging out for 15 minutes in the waiting room. One of the workers called my name. I went to the front, I knew what was coming. I feel like I'm pretty intune with my car. And I knew my baby "Sweet Silver" wasn't running quite right. Yes, I know I'm a dork for having a pet name for my car. Well anyways he gave me the bad news. It was going to cost me nearly 1000 big ones to get her feeling good again. Well I wasn't happy about it but what could I do. He told me it would be a couple of hours to do the work. So I decided I would go grab a bite to eat and do some shopping. I ended up at a thrift store, if you really know me then you know I love to find a good second hand bargain. Well I once again came up empty. I finished up at Angelo's I don't really like Angelo's. But I went anyways since it's pretty much the only cd store that isn't corporate owned. I ended up buying 4 cd's I didn't need.

After all that good fun I went back and dropped into my usual seat and waited for my car to be ready. An elderly couple ended up sitting next to me. I read my book for awhile, once I got tired of reading I found myself in a conversation with the husband. He was a former pilot in the military. He was in the Korean war. He was on an oxygen tank, so right away I had a soft spot for him. Probably because of how my dad struggled with one the last couple years of his life. He was a very interesting guy. I asked him and his wife how long they had been married, 62 years was the answer. Wow, I can't even find myself in a relationship that lasts longer than 3 days.
He really put me in my place. I had been feeling sorry for myself thelast couple of days. And after hearing how much he was in and out of the hospital. But didn't bitch about it or complain, he kept saying how blessed he was. And that he had lived such a good life regardless of how bad things were right now.

I got a kick out of watching them interact. It was really cute. At one point he was nodding off and his wife gave him a nice subtle jolt to wake him up. I'm stil blown away that they have been married for 62 years. We live in an age where it seems like everyone is getting divorced. So it's nice to see a couple endure and make it through all the ups and downs that life has thrown their way.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-89506959027003309082008-06-05T07:22:00.000-06:002008-06-05T07:23:17.944-06:00my real blog is at www.decemberhotel.netI was on my way to go pick up some dinner. As I do so often I had both my dogs with me in my car. Gunner the bigger of the two dogs was in the backseat. With Harley in the front seat. Both dogs were hanging outside the windows. Well I was at a four way stop. When I noticed a lady that was turning onto the street I was on. Well she was giving me a weird look, and then she was staring at the backseat. So I turned around to see what she was looking at Gunner had managed to shut the window on his head. He was busy squirming around. I felt bad for him but I busted out laughing it was such a funny sight. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-48354058723492364532008-05-26T13:58:00.001-06:002008-05-26T14:00:47.768-06:00Simple Home RemediesYou might have seen this before, but I felt like posting it again.

7 Simple Home Remedies
1. I hurt my shoulder lifting weights. And I had been forced to rest it. I hate not being able to workout. So I figured I would give it a shot today. My shoulder felt pretty good, a little tight but other then that pretty good. But the real test will come when I actually exercise my shoulders. It's been a pretty frustrating process. This injury couldn't have come at a worse time. My body had been in peak condition. And I was on way to meeting my goals by July. In fact my muscles have never been this cut. Sure I've been a little bigger. But I would much rather be cut than big anyday.

All in all today was a good day. Most importantly I got to spend some time with the woman that was responsible for bringing me into this world. We had dinner together and had some good conversation.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-10166411019279705062008-05-11T02:03:00.002-06:002008-05-11T02:10:29.472-06:0010 Magnificent Music VideosMusic has inspired me as long as I can remember. I have always appreciated a great music video. In an age where Mtv no longer lets music guide its way. I still manage to find a way to search out good music videos. I wanted to share a few of them with you. Most of them are thoguth provoking. I hope everyone that watches them will go away finding something that inspires them. Even if it's just by a little bit.

Pearl Jam- Do The Evololution

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-4894223652795985162008-05-07T20:37:00.003-06:002008-05-07T21:38:00.819-06:00my real blog is at www.decemberhotel.netThis is a list compiled by nothired.com. Personnel executives of 100 major American corporations were asked for stories of unusual behavior by job applicants. Her are some of their stories. I'm sure like myself you will find some of these stores pretty darn funny.

Said he was so well qualified [that] if he didn’t get the job, it would prove that the company’s management was incompetent.

Stretched out on the floor to fill out the job application.
Brought her large dog to the interview.

Chewed bubble gum and constantly blew bubbles.

She wore a Walkman and said she could listen to the music and me at the same time.

Balding candidate abruptly excused himself. Returned to office a few minutes later wearing a hairpiece.

Announced she hadn’t had lunch and proceeded to eat a hamburger and French fries in the interviewer’s office.

Man wore jogging suit to interview for position as financial vice president.

Said if he were hired, he would demonstrate his loyalty by having the corporate logo tattooed on his forearm.

Interrupted to phone his therapist for advice on answering specific interview questions.

Wouldn’t get out of the chair until I would hire him. I had to call the police.

Had a little pinball game and challenged me to play with him.

Bounced up and down on my carpet and told me I must be highly thought of by the company because I was given such a thick carpet.

While I was on a long-distance phone call, the applicant took out a copy of Penthouse, and looked through the photos only, stopping longest at the centerfold.

During the interview, an alarm clock went off from the candidate’s briefcase. He took it out, shut it off, apologized and said he had to leave for another interview.

A telephone call came in for the job applicant. It was from his wife. His side of the conversation went like this: “Which company? When do I start? What’s the salary?” I said, “I assume you’re not interested in conducting the interview any further.” He promptly responded, “I am as long as you’ll pay me more.” I didn’t hire him, but later found out there was no other job offer. It was a scam to get a higher offer.

He came to the interview with a moped and left it in the reception area. He didn’t want it to get stolen, and stated that he would require indoor parking for the moped.

Candidate said he really didn’t want to get a job, but the unemployment office needed proof that he was looking for one.

Asked who the lovely babe was, pointing to the picture on my desk. When I said it was my wife, he asked if she was home now and wanted my phone number. I called security.

She threw up on my desk, and immediately started asking questions about the job, like nothing had happened.

Pointing to a black case he carried into my office, he said that if he was not hired, the bomb would go off. Disbelieving, I began to state why he would never be hired and that I was going to call the police. He then reached down to the case, flipped a switch and ran. No one was injured, but I did need to get a new desk.

Asked if I wanted some cocaine before starting the interview.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-81379713820692477882008-05-03T20:40:00.003-06:002008-05-03T21:39:16.802-06:00my real blog is at www.decemberhotel.netAfter work today I decided to take my dogs for a walk. When I got back home Ashley was pretty excited to see us. She's an adorable little 4 year old that lives next door. She loves to pet the dogs especially Harley, whom she often gives a hug to. In a matter of a couple minutes I had most of the neighborhood kids hanging out in my front yard. After about 15 minutes they got bored and took off up the street. At that point I was about to head inside, when I noticed my soon to be neighbor Brandy showed up with her black lab Charlie. I thought to myself this would be a good chance for Gunner the bigger of my two dogs to get to know her. They really hit it off, they chased eachother around the yard for atleast 15 minutes. While I took advantage and used that time to get to know my neighbors better, since I just recently moved into the neighborhood.

After all of the adults went inside I was in my yard getting ready to go inside. When I noticed Ashley crying. I quickly asked her what was wrong. She ran upto me and wanted me to look over her hand. I guess her older brother Jacob bumped into it while he was riding by on his bicycle. I slowly massaged it for her hand and comforted her until she said she felt much better. She is such a cutie. At that very point in time made me really wish I had kids of my own. I just adore the sweetness and innocence of children. It's too bad that over time the world strips them of that innocence. You have to admire the joy and laughter children bring into this world. I always look forward to my interactions with kids, especially Ashley. No matter what kind of day I'm having when I see that adorable little girl I can't help but bust out a big old smile on my face. I swear it's the little things in life that if we just took the time to pay attention to we would be happier for it.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-50942912289759077772008-05-01T23:45:00.002-06:002008-05-01T23:49:19.539-06:00The Superhero list must go onSo I got the idea to post a list of My Top 25 favorite comic book characters. I grew up digging on Superhero's, so naturally I think it's normal to share them with you. I'm unvaling the second part of the list to you guys. Once again remember this is not another greatest of list. It's just simply my favorites. For whatever dumb reason each one of them made it onto the list respect that. And don't tell me I am wrong. Because quite frankly it's all relative. But please feel free to tell me what you think of my choices.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-64900690062099260682008-04-26T22:07:00.002-06:002008-04-26T22:54:34.582-06:00bad luck stopped by for a few hours...The day started off good. About noon is when everything headed downhill. I stepped out to goto the gym. As soon as I shut the door I knew I locked myself out of my house. So I had to jog over to my mother's house to get the spare key. Well wouldn't you know we couldn't find it. But we did find my extra car key. So she dropped me off at my house. I hopped in my car and headed over to Chuck's to let him know about my predicament. Then I headed to my roomates work. I have only been there a couple of times. Well guess what I drove around for about a half hour and couldn't find it. At this point is was pretty evident that I was going to be late to the wedding. I was so suppose to catch a ride with Crack and Chuck. At this point reality was telling me I was going to have to drive upto Lyons by myself. At this point I was pretty upset with myself I never lose my keys or misplace them. Well I guess I can no longer say never.

I arrived back at my mother's house around 4pm. The wedding started at 5pm. I called a locksmith they said they would be at my house in 10 minutes. So in a matter of maybe 2 minutes he was able to open my door. I gave him a tip even though he probably didn't deserve it. I quicked stumbled inside and called Chuck to get directions to the wedding. I quickly got dressed like I was Superman in a phone booth. I jumped in the car and hit the road. Well guess what? I forgot the directions at home. So I headed back home that cost me anotehr 10 minutes. So finally I got back in my car and started towards my destination. Well I just happened to glance at my dashboard. What do ya know. I was on empty, so I had to go get some gas. So finally I was back on the road again. I started to think about the day and my frustrations. I couldn't help bu bust out laughing. If you think about it all it was kind of funny. After that I popped in a U2 mix-tape and tried to enjoy myself. Traffic was good for while and then I hit a snag at I-270. Finally things picked up again on I-25. Just when I thought my bad luck was gone. I managed to get pulled over by a police officer right before my exit. But something happened, back luck decided to leave me. The cop gave me a warning. See not just good looking Blondes get off easy. Annoying sarcastic punks get off too.

I arrived at Jen and Travis's wedding around 6:15. Ofcoarse I missed the ceremony. But I did manage to make it before the reception started. The night ended up being alot of fun. Sure the day got off to a rough start. But as I always try to make the most of things. And ended up having a great day. I never let bad things ruin my day. Sometimes you can't control things that happen to you. But you can always control how you react to them. And that right there is half the battle my friends.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-74737214989934815872008-04-23T20:24:00.004-06:002008-04-26T22:07:45.836-06:00my real blog is at www.decemberhotel.netTonight I watched the Pursuit Of Sappyness, I mean Happyness which was based on a true story. Will Smith plays Christopher Gardner a struggling salesman in San Francisco during the early 1980s. Him and his wife Thandie Newton are having a really hard time making ends meet. Instead of sticking it out she decides to leave Chris and his son behind. What I love about this movie is that Chris doesn't mope around feeling sorry for himself. He immediatly faces his problems head on and never backs down. He has a goal and he never lets anything stand in his way of achieving it. Set back after set back comes his way, but he refuses to give up. The way Chris lives his life is so inspiring. Seeing all that he went through. I couldn't imagine dealing with that much adversity. And still finding a way to come out on top.

One of the best things about the movie is just watching the interplay between Will and his real life son Jaden. Who also plays his son in the movie. Jaden's acting really impressed me. For him to come alive in a role that is about as far as he could get from the real life he lives. If your looking for something that will move your soul then you should check this one out. This movie really moved me. It made me stop and think about how blessed I am. I have such an easy life compared to so many through out this world. It kind of makes me feel guilty. This movie may have it's flaws. But thats alright with me. I still loved it. I'm all for anything that inspires me and this movie inspired me.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4357698845629304944.post-4682350044192481372008-04-22T21:50:00.002-06:002008-04-22T22:00:59.049-06:00Here are a few Inspirational Quotes“We don’t see the things the way they are. Joe is Back....If you haven't already heard Paramount Pictures is in the process of shooting G.I. Joe. I grew up watching the cartoon, oh how I loved it. I used to collect all of the figurines, and play with them in the front yard with my friends. I even remember losing Destro in a nearby creek . I searched that creek for hours looking for him. I never did find him.

The movie will be a modern telling of the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" storyline and its compelling characters that Hasbro created 25 years ago. The back drop of the fantasy is the story of the G.I. Joe team, led by Duke with their slogan "fight for freedom wherever there is trouble " against the evil Cobra Commander and his Cobra force. The film is an origin story and Sommers says he plans to explain various strange aspects, from Destro’s metal mask to Snake Eyes’ lack of speech.

Here’s the official plot for the movie. From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite co - ed G.I. JOE team, based from it’s headquarters The Pit, deploys the latest in next gen spy and military equipment to fight crooked arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious COBRA organization from plunging the world into chaos.

I'm most excited to see Snake Eyes in action. He was always my favorite character. He is being played by Ray Park, known for his performances as the acrobatic Darth Maul "Star Wars: Episode I" and Toad in the first "X - Men." I guess he must be best suited for roles where he has to perform physically and beneath a costume. But I guess their is a good reason for that. He holds a second degree black belt in Wushu and came in second place at the 1995 world championships.

The cast includes Dennis Quaid ( General Hawk ), Channing Tatum ( Duke Hauser ), Arnold Vosloo ( Zartan ), Chris Eccleston ( Destro ), Karolína Isela Kurková ( Cover Girl ), Sienna Miller ( The Baroness ), Ray Park ( Snake Eyes ), Rachel Nichols ( Scarlett ), Adewale Akinnuoye - Agbaje ( Heavy Duty ), Said Taghmaoui ( Breaker ), Marlon Wayans ( Ripcord ), Joseph Gordon - Levitt ( Rex ) and Byung - hun Lee ( Storm Shadow ). This live action G.I. Joe film is being directed by Stephen Sommers ( Deep Rising, The Mummy, Van Helsing ) and is set to be released 7th August 2009. I can't wait to travel back down memory lane. I hope I don't get let down with these high expectations of mine.

December Hotelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16481773946126346512noreply@blogger.com1
