The mainstream media has now confirmed what we reported on that it was Jeff Hughes who was shot by the RCMP:

An independent observer from the Commission for Public Complaints against the RCMP and a member of the force's office of investigative standards and practices were in Nanaimo, B.C., on the weekend in the aftermath of a fatal shooting by police of a purported white supremacist.

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit says its officers continue their investigation into the death Friday of 48-year-old Jeffrey Hughes.

Hughes was fatally shot following a standoff with RCMP officers responding to a noise complaint. He was shot after he came out with what police say appeared to be a weapon.

An inspector from the Victoria Police Department is also monitoring the investigation.

Hughes was a member of a white supremacist group called Northwest Front Canada, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Some online postings from related organizations accused the police of killing Hughes because of his political affiliations, a charge denied by police.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Peter Thiessen said the man's death was "no execution and when all the facts are made public it will become apparent what happened."

Last month, the B.C. Association of Chiefs of Police asked the province to create an independent unit to investigate deaths involving police and serious allegations against officers, in order to ensure public confidence in such investigations.

The province did not commit to creating such a unit.

Those, "online postings from related organizations" accusing the police of a politically motivated assassination refer primarily, though not exclusively, to Stormfront where there is not one, but two threads concerning the incident. Some of the posters of Stormfront are referring to the shooting of an, "act of war":

Perhaps this is as good a time as any to remind our readers, and any Alberta law enforcement officer, that Bill Noble (Leto Atreides II) is in violation of the terms of his release and has been since the day he was released from prison.

The racists on Stormfront are painting Hughes as a mild, passive and non-violent individual. And certainly not someone who had a firearm. OdinPatrick, the moderator of the Canadian forum on Stormfront and who had been with Hughes on October 16, makes the following claim when he was still uncertain that it was Hughes who had been shot:

I hope you have your information wrong NHV, and it was some indian they shot. If it's Jeff, then I just lost a friend and my condolences to his family. Last time I talked to him he was just telling me he lives in a Ghetto, and that his building is full of indians and blacks and they play their music all night long. I don't understand this, he doesn't have any guns, and doesn't even carry a knife or pepper spray, and when I was in Vancouver, he discouraged me from carrying "dog/bear/pepper" spray because he doesn't believe in using weapons for defence or something like that. Obviously the RCMP female officer who shot him believes in weapons, it sounds like he may slapped her and he was shot 10 times for that offence.

However, in another news article concerning Mr. Hughes, a neighbour claimed that he did possess weapons:
She did see a Nazi flag on his apartment wall and several guns. She didn't take his neo-Nazi interests seriously and wasn't concerned about in his guns.
The same woman made the following statement concerning the shooting itself:

David had no doubt that the officer who shot Hughes had no choice.

"They couldn't stop Jeff, he went off his rocker. This is just this one night. It was an ongoing thing for months here."

Now this woman isn't someone with a grudge against Hughes. In fact it appears she believed he was harmless, and even liked him in spite of his neo-Nazi beliefs which she claims he never tried to force on her. That being said she also believes, based upon how Mr. Hughes was acting, that the shooting was justified. She's not happy about Hughes' death and has no agenda that she's trying to promote unlike the folks on Stormfront or, for that matter, us.

That there needs to be a police statement about this incident is a given. We hope for a statement in the coming days. Such a statement will not mollify the extremists who have already made up their own minds concerning the shooting of Jeff Hughes, though Bill Noble does suggest that allowing the people who have already prejudged the police as political murderers to take over the investigation:

We're not entirely certain if Noble was being serious here.

Again, violating terms of his release for almost two years now. We're just say'n.....

We don't really know what transpired. We hope to know soon.

The fatal shooting of a 48-year-old man by Nanaimo police outside a Selby Street apartment on Friday morning came as little surprise to some neighbourhood residents.

The 6 a.m. RCMP response to a noise complaint at the property was not an unusual occurrence according to neighbours, some of whom reported hearing multiple gunshots. Drug-related problems are common in the area, they said.

Nanaimo RCMP officials turned over the shooting investigation to the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit and said they have previously visited the building from disturbance and noise complaints. In June, RCMP investigated a complaint of two men shooting at each other in the area.

Friday's incident began when officers called to 531 Selby St. encountered a 48-year-old man. Police called in the emergency response team and a police dog, "given the nature of the subject's response to police." Officials would not elaborate.

Police said multiple shots were fired after the man came outside the residence and confronted officers, who were waiting for the arrival of the specialized teams. Witnesses report hearing as many as 10 gunshots. Several residents who looked outside saw several officers crouched with guns drawn and heard police yell "drop your weapon."

RCMP officials will not say if the man was armed, how many shots were fired or if more than one officer shot at the man.

The victim died outside, where his body was blocked from view by sheets strung along property fences. It was removed about nine hours later. His identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin. No one else was injured.

"If our officers used lethal force, they're faced with death or grievous bodily harm," said RCMP E-Division spokesman Sgt. Rob Vermeulen late Friday. "The RCMP regrets this tragic loss of life and is co-operating fully in this investigation."

Police continue to gather and confirm details and have not determined who shot the man. They would not say if other use of force options, such as a Taser, were used.

Vermeulen said the event was "very traumatic" for officers involved, who are being offered counselling and other support.

The area is often plagued with a transient population and police said it is not uncommon to respond to drug or prostitution-related problems or disturbances.

Andrea Roy, who recently moved to the area, was not surprised.

It's the reality of the area, said Roy, whose backyard overlooked the fatal scene.

One woman who lives in the building told media the shooting "reminds me of the old days" and was unsettled by the violence. She reported she heard door-slamming and swearing in the hours before the shooting.

John Bosch, who has managed a nearby building for nearly a decade, said he was not shocked that shots were fired only metres away from his downtown home.

Several residents brought up the subject of gang warfare in the Lower Mainland and said they were not surprised violence has spilled over.

"These days it happens quite often," said Bosch.

Sisters Tanya and Cyndi Touchie have lived in the area their entire lives and neither was surprised by the shooting.

"It's where all the action is," said Tanya.

Earlier this year, Nanaimo RCMP responded to the same building after reports that two men where shooting each other. Police said at the time that the gunfire was believed to be linked to the drug trade. No one was injured in that incident.

"It's really sad that nobody is surprised," said neighbour William Overnes, 41, who recently moved into the neighbourhood. "You look at the desperation of people around drugs. A lot of people don't realize what happens in the underworld."

Victoria Police investigators with VIIMCU will lead the investigation, which will be monitored by a senior officer, in the interest of impartiality, said officials. An independent observer with The Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP will also be involved.

It is the third police-involved shooting on Vancouver Island this year.

Last month, a 40-year-old Chemainus man was injured after he was shot by police after a traffic stop.

In March, a 39-year-old Duncan man was shot and killed in his trailer home after police said other efforts to subdue him failed.

The last time police in Nanaimo shot and killed a person was in 1996, involving a man armed with a knife near the Departure Bay B.C. Ferries terminal.

We're still waiting on reports to confirm that it was Hughes who was shot and the circumstances behind the incident. Reports of Hughes' death came to light when Harold Covington, announced on his blog that it was Hughes who was involved in the incident. Covington himself is a well-known American neo-Nazi.

Hughes was an infrequent poster on Stormfront though he had been a member since 2003 and had begun posting more frequently on the hate site. He was also a relatively well known individual within the White Supremacist movement in Canada. He is known to have attended the CHRT hearing against Jessica Beaumont in Vancouver in Dec. 2006. He also attended the Volksfront Canada anniversary where Paul Fromm spoke on October 16 as well as the "George Orwell Free Speech Dinner" attended by Fromm, Lemire, the Fourniers and hosted by Doug Christie. Hughes also had a profile on a number of social networking sites, including the hate site MySpace knockoff, Nazi Space.

In recent months Hughes has been involved in a movement he referred to as the "Northwest Imparative." This movement was linked to Covington's efforts to create an, "Aryan Homeland" in the Pacific Northwest and was to include Idaho, Oregon, Washington and, presumably, British Columbia in whole or in part. Covington and Hughes appear to have a history that goes back at least a few years.

It's unlikely that Hughes had any appreciable support for his efforts to create a Canadian branch of Covington's movement (which in itself seems to be little more than a web fantasy) as the Canadian website administered by Hughes was shut down in 2006, though Hughes was until recently promoting the movement on a Facebook page.

This wasn't Hughes' first run-in with law enforcement:

Hughes had been posting messages on Stormfront since 2003 (though he appears to have started posting on Stormfront while it was a BBS in the 1990s and had returned after a few years) , however he was never a prolific poster. His output had picked up in 2009 with his last posted message on October 19, 2009. Many of his posts upon his return to Stormfront were laments about the loneliness of his then current existence:

Towards the end he was promoting his failed movement and discredited Holocaust denial:

As we said we still aren't sure of the circumstances behind Hughes' death, however that hasn't stopped the boneheads from calling it a police murder (and what a surprise that it would be Bill Noble who would be among the first to suggest murder by floating the idea of Hughes' death being the result of a, "revenge killing" by the police):

Add Hughes as another example of a sad and pathetic wasted life. We take no pleasure in learning of his death, but it does serve to illustrate the emptiness of the life he led.

When the the Lemire decision came down in which Section 13 of the Human Rights Act was ruled to be unconstitutional by Athanasios Hadjis (a decision now being appealed) the boneheads got very excited. They also figured that this decision would reverse previous decisions made by the CHRT. In fact, Paul Fromm made demands that the penalties resulting from the Jessica Beaumont decision be reversed and that all monies paid be returned to Beaumont with interest.

Dear Mr. Hadjis:

You were the Member seized of this complaint; that is, Richard Warman v. Jessica Beaumont. Hearings were held in Vancouver in December of 2006. I was Miss Beaumont's agent throughout these proceedings.

You found her guilty of a discriminatory practice, contrary to the controversial Sec. 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act and, in your decision, delivered October 26, 2007, assessed certain penalties:

[94] In assessing the appropriateness of such an order, the only messages in issue are those that reference Mr. Warman, and not the entirety of the material that has been found to be in breach of s. 13. Ms. Beaumont knew or should have known that the language she was using to attack and ridicule Mr. Warman was likely to expose him to hatred and contempt in conjunction with his identification as a Jew. The reference to "Dead Warman Society" accompanied by images of swastikas is particularly troubling. Words suggesting that harm should come to another cannot be taken lightly, even if they were made in jest. Others viewing this material on the Internet may not see it as such and take the message more seriously. Mr. Warman also points out that Message 30, for instance, was posted after Ms. Beaumont was served with the human rights complaint. Thus, rather than halting the hate messages, she continued them and began to include references to Mr. Warman by name.

[95] In the circumstances, I therefore order Ms. Beaumont to pay the sum of $3,000 in special compensation, pursuant to s. 54(1)(b) of the Act.

104] Taking all of these factors into account, I order Ms. Beaumont to pay a penalty of $1,500. Payment of the penalty shall be made by certified cheque or money order payable to the "Receiver General for Canada", and must be received by the Tribunal within 120 days of the date on which this decision is served on Ms. Beaumont.

[80] I therefore see no reason to deny the order. Ms. Beaumont is ordered to cease and desist from communicating or causing to be communicated, by the means described in s. 13 of the Act, and particularly the Internet, any matter of the type contained in the messages at issue in this case that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt by reason of the fact that the person or persons are identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.

On September 2, you rendered your decision in Richard Warman v. Marc Lemire and declared Sec. 13 to be unconstitutional:

I have also concluded that s. 13(1) in conjunction with ss. 54(1) and (1.1) are inconsistent with s. 2(b) of the Charter, which guarantees the freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression. The restriction imposed by these provisions is not a reasonable limit within the meaning of s. 1 of the Charter.

Miss Beaumont complied with your orders and paid her fine in full and the $3,000 awarded to Richard Warman. Ironically, Mr. Warman obtained a court order and a further $3,000 was removed from Miss Beaumont's account after she had purchased a draft to pay him. It was some weeks before this money was returned to her.

In light of your decision in Warman v. Lemire, I seek:

1. that you rescind the "cease and desist" order. This is especially vital, as it is a legal burden hanging over Miss Beaumont for life, an obligation to silence under a law you hold is a violation of the Charter! Your "cease and desist" order is doubly onerous, as Miss Beaumont, who is not a lawyer, is enjoined not to communicate messages of |"the type contained in the messages at issue in this case." Yet, in your ruling, you found that "many," but not all, the impugned messages in the complaint violated Sec. 13.

[74] In sum, I find that in most of the impugned messages, Ms. Beaumont engaged in the communication of matter that was likely to expose persons identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination (namely race, religion, national or ethnic origin, and sexual orientation), to hatred or contempt.

Thus, Miss Beaumont has no guidance as to which messages were deemed acceptable.

2. that you cancel the $3,000 award to Mr. Warman and order that he return these monies, plus interest back to the date of the decision, to Miss Beaumont.

3. that you cancel the $1,500 fine imposed on Miss Beaumont and order that these monies, plus interest back to the date of the decision, be returned to Miss Beaumont.

Graveyard Vandalized

Ottawa Jewish cemetery defaced by vandals

Swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans were spray-painted in red across headstones, walls and a sign at a Jewish cemetery in Ottawa's south end this week.

Staff at Jewish Memorial Gardens in the village of Herbert Corners, south of Greely, said Friday that they were shocked when they arrived Thursday morning to find the damage to the entrance walls and eight headstones.

The staff, who had arrived to prepare for a burial later in the day, said it was the first time the cemetery has been vandalized in this way.

Ottawa police confirmed they are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

As of Friday morning, staff had cleaned up most of the damage, and only a few remnants of the paint could be seen on the marble entrance sign.

A different Jewish cemetery at the south end of Bank Street was vandalized twice two years ago.

Preliminary hearing begins for former university lecturer facing charge of promoting hatred

REGINA — The lawyer for former university lecturer, Terrence Cecil Tremaine, referenced author George Orwell’s famed 1984 while railing against Canada’s hate laws.

Monday marked the start of Tremaine’s preliminary hearing at Regina Provincial Court on a charge of promoting hatred.

A preliminary hearing is held to determine whether the Crown has sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. Should the matter go to trial, Tremaine wishes to be tried by Court of Queen’s Bench judge and jury.

Details from the preliminary hearing can’t be reported because of a publication ban.

Outside of court, defence lawyer Doug Christie criticized anti-hate legislation when he spoke to media.

“I think (the laws are) a massive waste of police resources,” he said. “I think that they’re kind of like preventing crime by stopping people from thinking, because if you can stop people from talking, you should be able to stop them from thinking as well. As soon as we can find out what you’re thinking, we’ll be able to regulate that too. If anyone’s read 1984, you can see where that leads, and this is kind of a precursor of things to come.”

Christie called the sections “a vehicle for police to waste public money chasing political enemies.”
“Ultimately, I don’t think the state should be deciding what people say,” he said. “That should be, in a free and democratic society, open to people to decide for themselves.”

Christie said he worried Canada is becoming a police state under the pretense of combatting terrorism and that it should be up to individuals to decide what to think about statements made.

The Victoria-based lawyer previously defended former First Nations leader David Ahenakew on his hate crime charge, which was inevitably thrown out.

Crown prosecutor John Stoesser declined comment outside of court.

The hearing continues today before Judge Bruce Henning.

Heritage Front Blast From the Past: Christopher Newhook

Not long ago we posted two of a planned series of three articles concerning former Heritage Front member and eventually leader Marc Lemire (here and here). We will be getting to that third article soon enough, but life has a tendency to get in the way of one's plans.

However, we learned today about another former Heritage Front member and his, well, rather significant legal issues of late:

A Halifax Crown attorney filed a complaint with police after a man she is trying to have declared a dangerous offender lost his cool and shouted at her in a courtroom Tuesday morning.

"I hate your (expletive) guts," Christopher Edward Newhook yelled at prosecutor Catherine Cogswell during a profanity-filled outburst in Halifax provincial court.

"I wish I could cut your (expletive) head off with a rusty hacksaw blade."

The Chronicle Herald was the only media outlet to have a reporter in the courtroom at the time.

Mr. Newhook, who is being sentenced for stabbing a man in the head two years ago in Halifax, also called Ms. Cogswell a maggot, parasite and goof and said her mother was a goof for having her.

Judge Bill Digby called for a recess and the two sheriff’s deputies assigned to the courtroom took Mr. Newhook downstairs to the courthouse holding cells.

When the dangerous offender hearing resumed 35 minutes later, a police officer had been posted in the spectators gallery and a third sheriff’s deputy stood guard over Mr. Newhook.

The defendant, who sat about three metres away from Ms. Cogs-well, maintained his composure for the rest of the day.

Outside court, Ms. Cogswell told reporters that she felt threatened by Mr. Newhook’s behaviour and would be giving a statement to police.

"Mr. Newhook has had violent, aggressive and very profane outbursts during the course of the proceedings, but today it became more extreme," Ms. Cogswell said.

"He was looking right at me as he was hollering the threats. As a result, I left the courtroom and made a phone call to the police department and indicated that I refused to go back into the courtroom until I had a police escort with me.

"Halifax Regional Police, no questions asked, sent down a police officer right away. And Judge Digby asked for and received an extra sheriff, and they’ll be in attendance for the rest of the hearing."

Police later charged Mr. Newhook with uttering threats and intimidation of a justice system participant.

Mr. Newhook, 40, has served four federal prison terms for violent offences in Ontario and has spent almost half his life behind bars. He has associated with skinheads and white supremacists and has committed many of his crimes against visible minorities.

An attack on a Vietnamese shopkeeper in Toronto in April 1989 left the man blind in one eye. Mr. Newhook also assaulted two black women on a bus in Toronto in September 1995 and an aboriginal man in Hamilton, Ont. in May 2000.

The evidence shows Mr. Newhook is a racist and a psychopath with alcohol-abuse issues whose risk of reoffending is so high that he must be locked up indefinitely to protect the public, the Crown argued during the hearing.

"Mr. Newhook is a threat to cause violence to anybody, anytime, anywhere and for any reason," Ms. Cogswell told the court.

On April 3, 2007, Mr. Newhook stabbed a man just above his right eye during a dispute in a North Street rooming house where he was living. Mr. Newhook thought the man had ratted him out to the landlord for making too much noise. He pleaded guilty that June to aggravated assault and possession of a knife and the Crown launched a dangerous offender application. The hearing sat for five days last May and two days this week.

Ms. Cogswell pointed out Tuesday that the stabbing in Halifax took place less than six months after Mr. Newhook was released from prison after serving an entire two-year sentence for a September 2004 assault with a weapon in Kingston, Ont. In that case, a rent disagreement led him to attack a man with a piece of wood and throw him through a plate glass window.

The defence wants Mr. New-hook declared a long-term offender, meaning he would receive a determinate prison sentence followed by up to 10 years of strict supervision in the community.

Lawyer Jean Morris said her client would be willing to complete programming and treatment in prison that would help him cope in the community while under supervision.

Judge Digby reserved his decision on the dangerous offender application until March 1.

Ms. Cogswell said she didn’t let Mr. Newhook’s outburst distract her from the job at hand.

"I felt scared and intimidated but at the same time I wasn’t going to back down from my legal position, which I needed to put forward," she said.

Crown attorneys have been pressing the province to install secure prisoner docks in courtrooms. Mr. Newhook was sitting on an open bench, with a sheriff on either side of him, when he went on his tirade.

"This is a circumstance that rears its head every day," Ms. Cogswell said. "I’m not very far removed from him in terms of where I sit. . . It’s a very dangerous situation that we work in.

"This is something that Crown attorneys across Canada have been saying for years, that we’re not safe enough in the buildings and in the courtrooms. This is a prime example. This is an old building and it’s not very safe, not very secure."

Justice Department spokeswoman Jennifer Gavin said precautionary measures were taken by adding the third sheriff to the courtroom.

She said the department would not be able to comment further on courtroom security Tuesday.

We haven't heard much about, "the Tongue" in a few years, and we didn't even have a recent photo of him to post until the CBC article was published (the one on the left is from the early 1990s) but he does have quite a history and for a while was one of the more visible of the early Heritage Front membership. In addition to his most recent antics, Mr. Newhook is also infamous for his involvement in the following:

Heritage Front member in 1990s who engaged in assaults with Wolfgang Droege and Pete Mitrevski on anti-racists.
Subsequently convicted of assaulting police and possession of a dangerous weapon (a baseball bat with "SS" carved into it) and was sentenced to twelve months.
"Heritage Front tough guy, Chris "the Tongue" Newhook, is back in jail for violating his probation. Convicted after the June 1993 brawl with anti- racists, and was paroled at the end of 1994. Despite his brief freedom and a grim birthday party hosted by Ernst Zundel, "the Tongue" was picked up by the cops on Yonge Street for possession of weapons and narcotics."
Sentenced to three years for various assaults in May 1997.

However, he was a bit of a hero, at least to some in the White Nationalist movement. Bob Smith (a member of Don Andrew's Nationalist Party) even wrote a poem (which is God awful, by the way) in which Newhook is mentioned among the luminaries of the Canadian racist movement:

Conservative Website Hosts Mark and Connie Fournier Win 2009 George Orwell Free Speech Award

VICTORIA, October 10. While many Canadians travelled to see friends and relatives for the Thanksgiving weekend, over 125 free speechers from as far away as Hawaii jammed a hall for food, fellowship and the 24th Annual George Orwell Free Speech Awards.

This year's recipients were Mark and Connie Fournier, the former owners of [Free Dominion], a conservative website in existance [sic] since 2001. They have the unique distinction of being the victims of no fewer than three defamation suits at the hands of the ultra litigious Richard Warman, the chronic Canadian human rights complaints filer. For the past three years, the Fourniers and many of their posters have fought a staunch battle for free speech and found themselves being spied on by blind Canadian human rights investigator (don't ask how -- we don't know and he won't tell), even before a complaint was filed against their site.

One of their libel suits in currently stalled as the Fournier's are appealing a court decision forcing them to divulge the names of eight John Doe's, or anonymous posters of their website, to Richard Warman. The Fournier's are standing four square for privacy of people on their site. Their lawyer Barbara Kulaszka, calling from Ontario, warned: "This appeal is very important for freedom of speech and people posting anonymously on the Internet." She also praised Marc Lemire for "his tremendous stamina and sacrifice over the past six years to overturn Sec. 13. It always falls to individuals to carry the heavy burden," she said.

Hosted by Douglas Christie and his Canadian Free Speech League, the Orwell dinner featured webmaster Marc Lemire. Marc gave a powerful power point presentation of the struggle against Sec. 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act and his recent victory, when Member Athanasios Hadjis ruled the Internet cewnsorship section unconstitutional. The CHRC is appealing (seeking judicial review) of this decision. Marc revealed further CHRC dirty tricks, including a cozy relationship with Canada Post which resulted in the closing of at least one person's post office box on nothing more than the allegation that he'd run afoul of Sec. 13.

Mr. Christie warned: "The fight for free speech is not the fight of a generation or even a lifetime."

Also present was webmaster Arthur Topham of Quesnel who is being victimized by Harry Abrams, a Victoria B'nai Brith operative, and B'nai Brith in a Sec. 143 complaint about his criticism of Zionism and Israel. Both the CFSL and CAFE have "interested party" or intervenor status in this upcoming battle,. scheduled to open in Victoria, December 14.

Representing the Canadian Association for Free Expression, Paul Fromm, the 1994 George Orwell Award winner, explained the travails of math lecturer Terry Tremaine, another Warman victim, who faces a preliminary hearing in Regina, October 19 on Warman-instigation Sec. 319 "hate law" charges about postings Mr. Tremaine made about Jews and national socialism. He was prosecuted under Sec. 13 on another Warman complaint and fined $4,000 and gagged for life (a "cease and desist" order) in 2006. Warman's complaints led to his losing his job at the University of Saskatchewan. CAFE has been raising money for Mr. Tremaine's defence.

Good. Perhaps they did get to ask Paulie about his views on "Zionism" after all?

Certain readers -- our biggest fans given the attention paid to us by them -- have claimed we engage in, "guilt by association" attacks. Of course, that hasn't stopped them from engaging in the very tactics they decry. Case in point the pro-Palestinian protests that were crashed by some members of the neo-Nazi Aryan Guard:

You know what, idiots? I will shake anyone's hand that I damn well please...but, unlike you guys, you will NEVER find me attending any rallies against Israel.

If you want to find anti-Semites, perhaps you should start by looking in your own freaky little organization.

That the presence of the Aryan Guard at the protest was unwelcome and the members told to leave matters little to Mrs. Fournier. That, and as we've mentioned a few times, we aren't the ARA.

Well Mr. and Mrs. Fournier recently appear to have attended Doug Christie's annual George Orwell Free Speech Award dinner in Victoria (UPDATE: Attendance of Mr. and Mr. Fournier at the dinner is now confirmed by Paulie). Among the participant in the event was none other than Paul Fromm.

Paulie has a few more events taking place in British Columbia. For example, on Friday he'll be the speaker (again) at Volksfront Canada's 15th Anniversary celebration:

We wonder if Mr. and Mrs. Fournier had an opportunity to talk to Fromm about his association with Volksfront or, for that matter, with the Aryan Guard with whom he marched with on March 21, 2009, and of whom he paid such lovely compliments to:

Anti-racist activists rally against intimidation

CALGARY -- Sparked by what they called a recent incident of intimidation by the Aryan Guard, members of Anti-Racist Action Calgary rallied in the city's Bridgeland neighbourhood yesterday.

"We had a couple members out here who were putting up posters just alerting the community and they were approached by members of the Aryan Guard, had their pictures taken and then all the posters were ripped down," said Jason Devine, a spokesman for ARA Calgary.

"I don't believe (Aryan Guard members) were just per chance rolling through and happened to see all the posters."

Devine said he has personally been the victim of violent attacks by members of the Aryan Guard.

About a dozen members of ARA Calgary chanted anti-Nazi messages before marching yesterday. Despite the low number, Devine said he was happy with the turnout.

"It's kind of screwed up because we're on Thanksgiving and the weather is horrible," he said.

UPDATE: And the average, "White Nationalist" turnout when they call events?

Gee, we let our resident conservative Sparky write an article for the blog and he gets all polite and crap. Bad Sparky! We're known in part for our dry wit and sarcasm! We can't disappoint our readers! Back to the spice mines for you!

In our last posts we discussed some of Lemire's posts that were, shall we say, not necessarily fit for the dinner table. But that isn't all to the Fournier challenge. They also want proof that Lemire was a member of the Heritage Front (other than when he was in his teens or early 20s) of if he was ever the leader:

The FreeDom folks, the Fourniers in particular, seem to know a great deal. They know that Lemire that if Lemire WAS involved in the Heritage Front, that he was involved in his teens and perhaps early 20s. They know that he never served in any leadership capacity, never mind running the whole show. They also know that the Heritage Front was completely and totally created by the Canadian government through CSIS to discredit the right and to force human rights legislation down everyone's throats. They know all this, so one assumes they've done a great deal of research... they certainly would have known the Heritage Front had a website:

For those literature majors out there reading this, we think you'll recognize foreshadowing when you see it. ;)

Well then, if we can't view the Heritage Front website, why don't we start with Stormfront?

Harry has already posted one link that Mr. Lemire posted to Stormfront back in 2002. At this point, Mr. Lemire was 27 years old, no longer in his teens and, perhaps early 20s as has been justified. And considering the Bristow affair had been exposed some time ago, our FreeDom friends have to make some pretty big leaps in logic to try and claim that the Heritage Front was a total government fraud, or they have to consider the posibility that Lemire may also be a government agent.

But anyways, perhaps our readers would like to read the other posts by Lemire to Stormfront?

A few of the Heritage Front related posts by Lemire to Stormfront. Most of them were in 2002 and 2003, however an incident in 2005 resulted in a trip down memory lane:

Wolfgang Droege is an interesting figure on the far right. A former Klansman. A would-be mercenary (that whole Dominica coup didn't work out so well). A drug dealer and petty criminal. A man convicted of assault. And the founder of the Heritage Front. Although it's obviously a bit dated, a well done brief biography of Droege (as well as a timeline of the Heritage Front from 1988 to 1994 when the report appears to have been written) can be found here.

Droege's death resulted in an outpouring of emotions by his friends on Stormfront, among whom were Paul Fromm and Marc Lemire:

Anyways another poster, and someone who claims that his father was in the Heritage Front, is corrected by Lemire (who know's "this for a fact") and Fromm:

But, the most touching moment of all, Lemire was so moved by the death of his friend, Heritage Front founder Wolfgang Droege, that he created a memorial CD to commorate a life lived:

What? You mean we can still check out the domain registration? Sparky! You've redeemed yourself!

Looks like it expires on April 2, 2010. And it was registered in Droege's name too before his death. Does that mean that Droege was a CSIS agent? Lemire wrote how well he knew Droege. Hell, he made a memorial CD for him!

But man, if we could get into that website....

Well there's that memorial CD that Lemire created. But, if Droege is dead, then who could be operating the website?

Oh, remember that obituary that was written by Fromm? Besides Stormfront, guess where else it shows up?

Interesting.

But this is all irrelevant. Sure there are some interesting links, but nothing specifically connecting Lemire directly to the Heritage Front website.

Except these:

Heritage Front business card. Seems that before it had it's own domain name, the Heritage Front was a part of Lemire's Freedomsite. And the Heritage Front mailing list was the same as the Freedomsite's mailing list... almost as if they were the same group.

And then there's this:

Now why would Lemire's Freedomsite url share the same space as that of the Heritage Front's? And that Hamilton P.O. Box... wasn't the headquarters of the Heritage Front in Toronto? Who could have been in Hamilton to collect the mail? Wait, doesn't Marc Lemire live in Hamilton? Wouldn't be interesting to see who owned that postal box?

Well this is all very interesting, but it's not as if we have a picture of Lemire holding the leaflet along with a Heritage Front press release.... right?

You know where this is going now, eh?

Let's see. February 11, 2001. A few days short of 26 years old.

So, would it be fair to say that in the Heritage Front of period between 2001 and 2005, Lemire had just a wee bit of a higher profile?

Lemire even felt frisky enough to write letters to the editor, in this case the letter to the University of Waterloo:

Disturbing hate literature was found on campus in the Student Life Centre this past week. Information sheets from the Heritage Front were found hidden inside books in the Used Bookstore and inside the newspapers outside of the Imprint office.

"It's really upsetting," commented SLC manager Nancy O'Neill. Many students had approached O'Neill to complain about the literature that was being circulated. "If we saw this happening, we would call the police directly. We would not approach them."

Students were also very upset, but thought that by seeing the literature, people were informed.

"I think it's a good thing that we see it," commented Ali Valli who felt that people need to be made aware of this in order to make up their own minds.

"It's good that it's at a university and not a primary school," said Gillian Dingle, who felt that the minds of university students are not as impressionable as those of younger children. "I can read it and know that it's full of shit."

When it was mentioned that the pamphlets were hidden in books and newspapers, Julie MacArthur questioned, "Why do they have to hide it?"

Lynnette Torok agreed, suggesting that people handing out this information are "ashamed and do not want to talk to students."

When approached, a member of KW Anti-Racist Action was "doubtful" that the literature was placed on campus by a student, but didn't dismiss the idea either. "There's a lot of local history. They were really active in 1992/93," he claimed. He referred to an incident where a local Jewish woman who openly refuted the Heritage Front had her house burned down twice in one year, allegedly by the Heritage Front. In other words, the Heritage Front is an organization that is not to be taken lightly.

"In the last three months, there are three new groups that have formed in town . . . there's an increase in activity."

Another member of the anti-racist group wasn't sure what motivated someone to do this. "I find it really hard to get into the heads and motivations of people that believe this kind of thing."

The literature that was distributed falls under the Canadian Criminal Law section 319 that deals with the wilful promotion of hatred. A wilful promotion of hatred is defined as "everyone who, by communicating statements other than private conversation, wilfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or; b) an offence punishable on summary conviction." Anyone caught distributing hate literature can serve a sentence up to two years in prison.

The Heritage Front is an organization that many consider a hate group because of their racist comments. Heritage Front claims that they are not a hate group. According to the organization's Web site, "while it is true that we "hate" this current climate of reverse discrimination and minority appeasement programs, it is preposterous to blame the beneficiary of such politics - rather than the author. Contrary to media and government reports, it has never been the aim of Heritage Front to dominate or subjegate any other race."

One of the newer groups in the area, the Tri-City Skins ask visitors to the site and sign a guestbook where many people fill out a brief survey that includes favourite bar, band and beer. One "Warrior" named Farmer Cletus, whose favourite bar is the Bombshelter, wrote: "We do need to congregate and join. Let's get together and rally, we have much more than we realize. And where the hell is the Heritage Front?"

UW Police stated that the case is "still under investigation" and that, as of yet, no charges have been laid.

But don't think that the Heritage Front didn't have friends. No, in fact they claimed numerous chapters across Canada, as well as groups they refer to as "supporters." We'll take a look at one province:

Interesting group of supporters. In addition to Paul Fromm's organizations and Melissa Guille's Canadian Heritage Alliance, we have:

1. The C.E.C.T, better known as the Canadian Ethnic Cleansing Team
2. Tri-City Skins
3. The World Church of the Creator (now known as Creativity after a lawsuit)
4. The National Alliance

Click on those links. Very enlightening and as we've said in another context, talk about the company you keep.

Again, the dilemma for the FreeDom crew is to reconcile what they believe (that Lemire wasn't involved in the Heritage front to any significant extent and the whole operation was run by CSIS) with the facts that:

1. Lemire was posting Heritage Front documents on Stormfront.
2. He appears to have been the Heritage Front webmaster.
3. He was the most visible member and the one who issued the press releases.

So, does that mean that Lemire was a CSIS agent?

So, have we sufficiently established Lemire's late membership in the Heritage Front? Yes? Then moving one.

Now the question of leadership we're not going to spend much time on. We've already established that he had a significant leadership role in the organization, but was he, "the Leader"?

Justice Blais seems to have thought so.

And so did Gerry Lincoln:

Gerry Lincoln isn't just some shlub (well, he was, but bear with us). He was one of the founding members of the Heritage Front. He was the publisher, editor, and main writer of the Heritage Front's magazine, "UpFront." He also was the person who designed this:

So one would think that a founding member of the Heritage Front, the editor/writer of it's magazine, and the designer of the logo might have a little insight into the leadership of the Heritage Front. Also, as the article is published on Lemire's Freedomsite (and as the FreeDom folks have established, Freedomsite is Lemire's baby), then one might reasonably assume that Lemire approves of the article.

We know, it's not good enough for Mark:

We couldn't agree more Mr. Fournier. Common sense does eventually have to come into play.

An Examination of Marc Lemire: Part I

In our previous article we accepted a challenge laid out by Mr. and Mrs. Fournier of Free Dominion. That challenge was to prove that Marc Lemire was a bigot, a member of the Heritage Front, the leader of the Heritage Front and that he had a close working relationship with Ernst Zundel.

Today we will deal with the first part. Is Mr. Lemire a bigot? We won't use the term "Nazi" or even "racist" because the two words are loaded and tend to be used inappropriately. In general, we refer to people as being Nazis or neo-Nazis if they adhere to the tenents of National Socialism. In that regard, Terry Tremaine (who calls himself a National Socialist) and most members of the Calgary-based Aryan Guard would fit the bill.

Now, the Fourniers seem to be claiming that as Mr. Lemire was found to have violated only a single count of section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act (publishing an article on his website which he himself didn't write) after a 6 year investigation is proof enough that he isn't a bigot and that his only crime is having stood up to Mr. Warman. They claim that he has been maligned and smeared by the taint of, "racist." Be sure that to accuse someone of racism is a very serious charge and not one we take lightly. And, as we've said, it's a loaded term that tends to stifle discussion. Rather we'll examine if some of the views that Mr. Lemire has indicated over the years could be described as bigotted. We will post the information provided by Mr. Lemire himself and allow our readers to draw their own conclusions with minimal editorial input.

First, well begin with Mr. Lemire's website, Freedomsite. It appears to be accepted by the folks at Freedominion that Freedomsite is Mr. Lemire's online and intellectual property:

Mrs. Fournier has also cites Freedomsite as being being operated by Mr. Lemire when she provides links to the site which deny Mr. Lemire is, "a Nazi" and the deny that he is the individual pictured alongside Ernst Zundel (and on this latter issue we agree that the individual is not Mr. Lemire).

As such, we feel that we should start with the current content of Freedomsite.

At one point Freedom site had a picture library. While the picture links are now broken, one can still view the titles given to the numerous pictures that you would have seen had you clicked on a working link:

We wonder why Mr. Lemire would write, "Schindlers List exposed as a FICTIONAL ACCOUNT! Later publications of this book, list it as "Non-Fiction". Only when it comes to the "Holocaust" (tm) can things become FACT by mere repitition." What claims are being made about the Holocaust? Why is the word Holocaust in quotation marks? And why the (tm) designation?

An examination of the website operated by Mr. Lemire might give some cause to question the agenda of the project. And while there's certainly no slam dunk here, and the Freedominion folks might accuse us of assuming, "guilt by association" but as Mr. Lemire has the power to post whatever he wishes on his own website, reasonable critical thinkers may be concerned.

We'll now move on to Mr. Lemire's own posted comments.

Some of the Free Dominion members have commented with some concern that Mr. Lemire is a frequent poster on Stormfront. Stormfront was created by Don Black, a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and, interestingly, involved with future Heritage Front founder Wolfgang Droege in a failed effort to overthrow the government of the island nation of Dominica. One poster attributed the posts to, "youthful frustration" or, "an inclination to rebel":

Mrs. Fournier states that Mr. Lemire because, "they gave him a podium":

There are problems with these two explanations. First, Mr. Lemire registered on Stormfront in 2002, long before his troubles with the CHRT began. As he was born in February 1975, Marc would have been 27 years old when he registered. And as for being a podium by which Mr. Lemire could discuss his troubles with the CHRT, most of his posts occurred before 2005 when things began to heat up and a complaint officially filed against him. Marc posted on Stormfront when the complaints were filed against him.

As of October 5, Marc Lemire had posted on Stormfront 600 times between June 12, 2002 and September 2, 2009. Not prolific by any stretch of the imagination, but it could hardly be attributed to a whim.

Neither was Marc a passive participant on Stormfront interested only in being provided with a podium. The following concern Marc's tech work on an Internet stream celebrating David Duke's release from prison:

Well, how about the content of Mr. Lemire's posts?

Unlike street thugs like the Aryan Guard in Calgary, you won't find the high-profile and "respectable" members of the "White Nationalist" movement uttering racial epithets. Instead of shaved heads, bomber jackets and sheets, they'll wear suits and ties. Cross burnings? No, conferences will suffice (sort of like the David Duke homecoming that Mr. Lemire was involved in). And the use of euphemisms abound. "White Power" cries instead become "White Pride" (note the picture of the Aryan Guard members). "White Supremacy" instead is labled, "White Nationalism" or "WN". Controlled media, international bankers and Zionists are, of course, Jews.

So we can assure you that you will not hear David Duke refer to a Black man as a ****** or Don Black write that a Jewish woman is a ****, at least not in public. And we can almost guarantee that our readers will not find anything similar uttered by Mr. Lemire in public or online under his own name. He's too smart for that.

That's not to say, however, that he doesn't slip on occasion.

Mr. Lemire contemplates, "White Flight":

Mr. Lemire lets Stormfront readers know where they could pick up the virulently antisemitic and racist books, My Awakening and Jewish Supremacy by David Duke:

The desire of a National political party to, as Mr. Lemire says, "represent our beliefs":

Mr. Lemire and Mr. Fromm complain about the, "Zionists," the "Jewish Lobby" and "The Israeli occupiers of Palestine":

Assumptions that ethnic minorities are inherently corrupt, incompetent, and criminal:

Holocaust in sarcastic quotations (see the example from the Freedomsite picture library at the beginning of the article):

Israel a dictatorship akin to North Korea and China (perhaps our Free Dominion friends of Israel would like to comment?):

Note the Zundel reference in the above screen shot. More on that later.

Mr. Lemire hasn't always been a gentleman to his fellow Stormfront posters and has gotten into at least one flame war on the forum. That was with a co-founder of the Alberta-based group Western Canada For Us, Peter Kouba (Mr. Lemire will later go on to mispell Kouba's surname). By the time this exchange occurred, there had been a bit of an online history between the two men:

We're not sure why it would matter that the Maple Leafs, at the time of this post, didn't have "a single non-white player. Unlike Calgary and Vancouver." What an odd thing to mention.

And then Mr. Lemire's wife, also a Stormfront poster, gets involved:

There we have the use of the "WN" euphemism. Seems "MaryMac" self-identifies as a "White Nationalist"? Not to say that her husband does as well though. Still, the online pissing match between Mr. Lemire and Kouba will continue. This time in relation to a disasterous performance by Glenn Bahr on a national radio program. By this time Kouba had been driven out of the organization he had co-founded with Bahr and was a bit vengeful. He called in to the program and humiliated Bahr. Mr. Lemire makes the following comments not long after:

Does Lemire self-identify as a "White Nationalist" in this dressing down of Kouba? We'll let our readers decide. Kouba responds just before being banned from Stormfront:

Mr. Lemire also appears to have a sense of humour, though the humour might not play well in polite company. On Olivia Chow's loss in the 2004 federal election:

Mr. Fromm and Mr. Lemire also share a laugh about Chinese drivers:

And finally, Mr. Lemire discusses the pitfalls and hazards of immigration, first by commenting on a claim that immigrants don't use deodorant:

Mr. Lemire then proceeds to post several pictures showing ethnic minorities as dirty and less than desirable (though that is a game we here can play tit for tat).

Finally, Mr. Lemire makes the same joke that got Mr. Kinsella in so much trouble and for which the members of Freedominion took a special sort of glee:

Both the comments by Mr. Kinsella and Mr. Lemire were based on gross and ignorant stereotypes. The difference? Mr. Kinsella apologized. Twice.

We tried to allow Mr. Lemire's posts speak for themselves. However we recognize that we have opened ourselves up to certain accusations. First, we selected only a handful of the 600 posts made by Mr. Lemire on Stormfront and that these few we've discussed are not truly representative of Mr. Lemire's views. Second, we could potentially be accused of not providing a proper context for the posts and by making Mr. Lemire appear worse than he actually is. Finally, we could be accused of not having a life for having spent so long writing this article and collecting the screenshots. Come to think of it, that final accusation has some merit.

As for the first two accusations, we invite our detractors to examine the record. As we said, Mr. Lemire has posted 600 times on Stormfront. Don't take our word for it. Read what he has written.

In our next article, we'll deal with the two issues concerning the Heritage Front: was Mr. Lemire a member and, if he was, the leader of the organization after 2001.

Free Dominion And the Rehabilitation of Marc Lemire

We said that we don't make a point of visiting the FreeDom boards very often except when we're sent a link.

By the way, they took the bait in less than a day and eight days respectively. Thanks Ogopogo and Maikeru.

But given the link from FreeDom we were sent today, we might have to start.

It seems that the Fourniers aren't content with merely counting Marc Lemire as an ally in the "speech wars." Now they've taken it upon themselves to rehabilitate Mr. Lemire himself:

Okay, so they say Mr. Lemire isn't a Nazi. What else?

Investigated for year. Not one shred of evidence that Mr. Lemire is a Nazi or a racist. Demands proof. Any more?

Mr. Lemire posted messages on Stormfront, a known hate website, because they allowed Mr. Lemire (a non-racist) a forum to express his free speech views. And if Connie knew that Mr. Lemire was a racist, she would not defend his honour though she would still defend his right to free speech. Gotcha. Shall we continue?

An innocent victim of circumstance. A free speech martyr. Hell, at this point even we'd be willing to chip in to help Marc in his legal defence, except we know otherwise. This is starting to get good.

Well of course Kennedy would chime in. Can't be a FreeDom thread without Mr. Kennedy talking about "lieberals." We think he needs some new material.

Viciously libeled. Hasn't posted anything racist. Hmmmmm.

Ah, we were waiting for this. It's the "Heritage Front was a wholly government created fraud intended to trap teens like Lemire and good, law-abiding adults like Wolfgang Droege" meme. And if he was a member of the Heritage Front, he was just 15 years old! A mere babe in the woods. Can't hold that against him.

Hell, not only was the Heritage Front a government created organization, for all intents and purposes it never even existed. All an illusion created by the government and now Warren Kinsella (the "Catsmeat" reference.... if we can agree that is a racist comment, then we'll have something to share later).

Complete, total government control. No way our mere babe in the woods, Marc Lemire, could wrest control from the all powerful federal government.... though if he did control the organization for a time, this fact would put to bed the idea that CSIS founded and controlled every aspect of the Heritage Front, instead of inflitrating the existing organization as has been stated in the msm. And wait. A person could only be a racist if they violate section 13?

And now Mark chimes in. More of the "CSIS created and controlled the Heritage Front" meme. More of the "Marc Lemire and the others who joined were victimized by the ruthless government" meme.

Are you, our dear readers, begining to feel as if you've entered a Dan Brown novel, only with better writing and a plot that doesn't lead the reader on by the nose?

Marc Lemire an employee of Zundel? Bah! Where's the proof? You know, besides that which is found on Mr. Lemire's own website and which he doesn't refute?

You know, come to think of it, Lemire wasn't even a member of the Heritage Front when he was a teen and CERTAINLY NOT a past president of the organization. Lies! All lies!

But wait? Do we hear the voices of disagreement? We think that we do.

Our hero Mark will have none of this though!

And in that, lies the challenge. Prove to Mark, Connie and the rest of the true believers that Mark Lemire is everything that he's been accused of. And, if that is accomplished, Mark will admit that he was wrong.

We'll bite.

Over the next week or two, we here at ARC will lay out the evidence that Marc Lemire is:

1. A bigot.
2. A former member of the Heritage Front
3. A former leader of the Heritage Front
4. A close associate and employee of Ernst Zundel

And we will do all of this by examining Mr. Lemire's own online record, comments and interaction with those close to him and who know him best, besides himself.

Do we think the true believers will admit they were wrong? No, but then this exercise really isn't going to be strictly for their benefit. That said, we will make an initial concession to the FreeDom folks.

We don't believe that the person pictured beside Zundel is Marc Lemire. Never have in fact and we've warned others about claiming so and using the picture as well. The age (Marc was born February 1975), facial structure, and body type bears little resemblance to Mr. Lemire. We aren't sure exactly when claim was made that the person in the photo was Lemire, but our readers will note that, although this photograph has been floating around the Internet for a few years now, we've never used it. As well, we've cautioned others against using it as well.

So, if we were to engage in the conspiracy theories the folks of FreeDom engage in, we might try to say that Mr. Lemire put this picture into the public domain with the object of discrediting people who might ultimately use it to make a connection between Lemire and Zundel. We could do that, but won't, because such a claim is patantly foolish (much like those conspiracy theories, stated as fact, by the Fourniers concerning the Heritage Front as a government controlled and created organization). In reality, stating that Lemire is pictured in the photo is more likely laziness and really bad intel.

So, ladies and gentlement of FreeDom, you have a point. One.

We'll leave our readers with this. It is the portion of Justice Blais decision regarding the Zundel security ticket. The only evidence that Marc was a former leader of the Heritage Front is a claim made by Matt Lauder, Mr Fournier? Well, here's another piece of official documentation to bolster that claim (already posted on FreeDom by someone else trying to make the case to the FreeDom folks but posted here now for our readers). You may not accept it, but it's hard to totally discount:

AND IN THE MATTER OF ERNST ZÜNDEL

DECISION ON THE REASONABLENESS OF THE CERTIFICATE

[26] Mr. Zündel has always supported the ideology of the White Supremacist Movement, one which is based on the fundamental belief that the white race is an endangered species in need of protection as a result of non-Whites and Jews seeking to attack the foundation of western civilization. Blacks in particular are seen as intellectually inferior, while Jews are viewed as conspiring to gain control of the world through manipulation of financial markets, the spread of communism, pornography and general moral degeneracy. The government is viewed with suspicion as it is seen to be controlled by a Jewish conspiracy referred to as zionist occupation government (ZOG). These fundamental beliefs lead to antisemitic, racist, anti-immigration, anti-democratic, anti-human rights and anti-homosexual attitudes.

[27] The Nazi Party under Adolf Hitler in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s is notoriously well known; what is less known, is the Canadian version which was developed over the 1940s and the 1950s under Adrien Arcand, who promoted Hitler as a saviour of Christianity and formed the Parti national social chrétien in the 1930s. That party then merged with the Canadian Nationalist Party from the West to form the National Unity Party. Later in the 1960s, the Canadian Nazi Party became the National Socialist Party and Mr. Zündel explained how he was influenced by Mr. Arcand himself whom he met when he arrived in Canada in the 1950s. At the conclusion of World War II, the enthusiasm of those Nazi parties around the world was greatly reduced; nevertheless, there still remained some desire to support this neo-Nazi approach. Mr. Zündel is among the few people that worked hard to maintain that support and who went to great lengths to try and establish some credibility to the neo-Nazi movement. He also tried by all means possible to develop and maintain a global network of all groups that have an interest in the same right wing extremist neo-Nazi mind-set.

[34] Mr. Zündel maintained a close association with Wolfgang Droege and even admitted that he believed Mr. Droege was involved in terrorist activities in the United States, including attempting to invade the small Republic of Dominica to establish a White Supremacist Government. Mr. Zündel's house on Carlton Street in Toronto was akin to a revolving door for Mr. Droege, as well as every other member of the White Supremacist Movement in Canada or from abroad. These members were always welcome at his house, which had transformed from a residence, into a command centre for people and organizations worldwide involved in the White Supremacist Movement.

[35] Furthermore, Wolfgang Droege and Marc Lemire, two successive presidents of the Heritage Front, spent a lot of time in Mr. Zündel's house. Mr. Lemire, the last known president of the Heritage Front, was working for Mr. Zündel part-time, and then full-time for many years until Mr. Zündel left for the United States.

[36] Mr. Zündel also maintained a close association with Terry Long and the Aryan Nations. Mr. Long was a very zealous activist in Canada, and was depicted as one of the most extreme of the leaders of the Aryan Nations, an organization founded by Richard Butler in 1974 that has among its goals, the elimination of Jews and all minorities, as well as the creation of a White homeland in the North Western United States.

[37] It is troubling to hear Mr. Zündel proclaim that he is defending freedom of expression and advocating the use of non-violence, while at the same time, spending most of his time working in close quarters with the most extreme individuals and organizations in the White Supremacist Movement.

[38] If, as Mr. Zündel claims, he is not on side with extremists, is not on side with people claiming that the Jews should be eliminated and is not on side with Canadian members of the Heritage Front that wanted to create a list of members of the Jewish Movement for future retaliation, then how can he agree to participate in a meeting of the Heritage Front as a guest speaker, surrounded and supported by members of extremist White Supremacist groups in Canada?

[39] If, as Mr. Zündel said, the Heritage Front, a group described as the most powerful racist gang to hit Canada since the real Nazis back in the Dirty Thirties, was not a good idea, then why would he hire the president of that organization, Mr. Lemire, as a part-time and then full-time employee in his own personal residence?

[40] If, as Mr. Zündel stated, Mr. Droege is a terrorist and was totally ill-advised with everything he has done, be it in the United States or as leader of the Heritage Front, then how can he allow him to enter his house on a daily basis?

[41] If, as Mr. Zündel claims, it is not a good idea to use websites to disseminate messages of racial hatred and incite violence in the pursuit of White Supremacist objectives and that it is not a good idea to post on the Internet a practical guide to Aryan revolution which included chapters on assassinations, terror bombings, sabotage and racial wars, then why would he qualify Bernard Klatt, the man responsible for posting this guide, as a gentle person, and maintain contact with Mr. Klatt over the years?

[49] I also have reservations concerning the scope of Mr. Zündel's knowledge of Mr. Lemire and his involvement in the Heritage Front. I believe that Mr. Zündel was well aware of Mr. Lemire's presidency and particularly of the efforts of Mr. Lemire, a computer expert, to develop websites to disseminate messages of racial hatred and to incite violence. Based on reliable evidence provided to me in camera, I believe that Mr. Zündel was in close association with Mr. Lemire, who was working full-time in Mr. Zündel's house until his departure for the United States in 2000. Furthermore, I also believe that Mr. Lemire had access to Mr. Zündel's website. Mr. Christie testified that Mr. Lemire was constantly admonished by Mr. Zündel about his behaviour; should I therefore believe Mr. Zündel's testimony that he never discussed Heritage Front business in his house with Mr. Lemire? In my view, Mr. Zündel and Mr. Lemire did in fact discuss Heritage Front matters in his house but most probably in Mr. Christie's absence.

Aryan Guard Attack Home Again

We reported that there is a planned anti-fascist rally on October 10 on the weekend. The spokesperson for the main organizing group, Jason Devine, sent out the following message regarding an incident that happened at his home during the early hours of yesterday morning:

Today October 3rd, 2009 at 5:38 AM we awoke to the sound of glass breaking. A cinder block had been thrown through the front window of our house as well as a smaller projectile through the bedroom window of our 3 sleeping children (one is 6 years old and twins whom are 4). The front door had been tagged with graffiti, specifically spray painted in red "C-18" and a swastika.

This is in response to ARA planning a rally in Bridgeland on October 10th. This rally is to alert the community on the high number of sightings and recent neo-Nazi activity in the community and how to deal with it.

This comes as no surprise to local ARA members Bonnie and Jason Devine as they have been targeted before, first in February of 2008 with a molotov cocktail thrown at their house, and once again this summer the morning before a local anti-racist rally. Not to mention numerous insults and threats over the internet.

This is a clearly not a random act of violence but a direct target to us and our family, other anti- racist activists, and all who are against racism, with a clear message: neo-Nazis are violent, have no regard for human life, especially children, and they are clearly a terrorist gang.

As for ARA it can be clearly defined by its statement of beliefs and principles which are reflected in the 4 points of unity which are listed below.

We go where they go: Whenever fascists are organizing or active in public, we're there. We don't believe in ignoring them or staying away from them. Never let the nazis have the street!
We don't rely on the cops or courts to do our work for us: This doesn't mean we never go to court. But we must rely on ourselves to protect ourselves and stop the fascists.
Non-Sectarian defense of other Anti-Fascists: In ARA, we have lots of different groups and individuals. We don't agree about everything and we have a right to differ openly. But in this movement an attack on one is an attack on us all. We stand behind each other.
We support abortion rights and reproductive freedom. ARA intends to do the hard work necessary to build a broad, strong movement against racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, discrimination against the disabled, the oldest, the youngest and the most oppressed people. We want a classless free society.

Warman v. Lemire

On Thursday, October 1, 2009, the Canadian Human Rights Commission applied for Judicial Review of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal's decision in the Warman v. Lemire case before the Federal Court.

The Commission applied for Judicial Review so that technical but important legal issues raised by the decision can be clarified. These issues go beyond this particular case and could have an impact on other administrative tribunals. As a result, the uncertainty created by the decision is not in the public interest and merits a binding decision by a higher court.

The application is based on two grounds. It is the Commission’s view that:

The Tribunal erred in law when it found that the manner by which the applicant exercises its statutory mandate could render section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act unconstitutional; and

The Tribunal’s findings of unconstitutionality also resulted from the adoption of subsections 54(1)(c) and (1.1) of the Canadian Human Rights Act, subsequent to the Supreme Court of Canada’ s decision in Canada (Human Rights Commission) v. Taylor, [1990] 3 S.C.R. 892. The Tribunal erred in law when it refused to apply section 13 of the Act because a refusal to apply subsections 54(1)(c) and (1.1) would have provided a sufficient remedy in respect of this ground.

The Commission endorses the Tribunal's narrow interpretation of section 13, which is consistent with the Supreme Court and Tribunal's jurisprudence as well as with the Commission's 2009 Special Report to Parliament. The Commission accepts the Tribunal's finding that the penalty clause is unconstitutional. In fact, the Commission itself has recommended that this provision be repealed in its Special Report to Parliament.

The Commission is a servant of Parliament and considers that Parliament's statutes must be applied unless they are found to be unconstitutional. In this case, it is the Commission’s view that the Tribunal went too far in refusing to apply section 13 in its entirety when the constitutional concern could be remedied by refusing to apply the penalty clause in 54(1)(c).

Given that the original decision was a bad decision based on a poor understanding and application of the law, we couldn't imagine that the decision wouldn't be appealed. On way or another, at least we'll be closer to some clarification.

Topham Complaint Going Ahead

Dear Tribunal and Parties,

We write further to the correspondence that has been exchanged by the parties in regards to the impact of the Warman v Lemire decision recently rendered by the Tribunal.

It is the position of the Commission submits that the Tribunal should proceed on hearing the matter pending before it in the present case. Consequently, the matter should neither be adjourned sine die or simply dismissed.

In Warman v. Lemire, the Tribunal found that the penalty provision in s. 54(1)(c) was not a reasonable limit on freedom of expression under the Charter. In the instant case, the Commission will no longer be seeking a penalty under 54(1)(c) of the Act as was originally included in its Statement of Particulars. The Commission therefore respectfully submits that the Tribunal ought to proceed with a hearing of the Complaint to determine if section 13 has been infringed, and if so, to exercise its discretion under s. 54(1)(a).

Oh, "Ryan Adler," how we've come to love your wit and wisdom.

Actually, Ryan Adler isn't his real name, at least not his complete name. We've referred to him in the past as R.L. as he's one of the Aryan Guard groupies who is too young to shave (though he insists that he is old enough to shave and, in fact does)but old enough to puff out his chest and act like a tough guy online...... and who wears a mask in public.

Well lately R.L. has been posting his charming repartee on opposition Facebook groups, including the one promoting the anti-fascist rally on October 10. However our favourite exchanges are occurring on the wall of the, "F*** the Aryan Guard, Stop Racism" group. We'll cut to the chase and post the best of the bunch so far:

Not long ago Reitmeier called the members of the Aryan Guard, "posers." Now an Aryan Guard loyalist adds flames to the fire by not only calling into question W.E.B.'s fidelity to the cause, but also calls every W.E.B. member out as a drug user.

Didn't we say something about internal politics eventually breaking this gang apart?

The transformation of Germany in the 1920s and '30s from the nation of Goethe to the nation of Goebbels is a specter that haunts, or should haunt, every nation.

The triumph of Nazi propaganda in this period is the subject of a remarkable exhibit at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (where I serve on the governing board). Germany in the 1920s was a land of broad literacy and diverse politics, boasting 146 daily newspapers in Berlin alone. Yet in the course of a few years, a fringe party was able to define a national community by scapegoating internal enemies; elevate a single, messianic leader; and keep the public docile with hatred while the state committed unprecedented crimes.

The adaptive use of new technology was central to this achievement. The Nazis pioneered voice amplification at rallies, the distribution of recorded speeches and the sophisticated targeting of poster art toward groups and regions.

But it was radio that proved the most powerful tool. The Nazis worked with radio manufacturers to provide Germans with free or low-cost "people's receivers." This new technology was disorienting, taking the public sphere, for the first time, into private places -- homes, schools and factories. "If you tuned in," says Steve Luckert, curator of the exhibit, "you heard strangers' voices all the time. The style had a heavy emphasis on emotion, tapping into a mass psychology. You were bombarded by information that you were unable to verify or critically evaluate. It was the Internet of its time."

This comparison to the Internet is apt. The Nazis would have found much to admire in the adaptation of their message on neo-Nazi, white supremacist and Holocaust-denial Web sites.

But the challenge of this technology is not merely an isolated subculture of hatred. It is a disorienting atmosphere in which information is difficult to verify or critically evaluate, the rules of discourse are unclear, and emotion -- often expressed in CAPITAL LETTERS -- is primary. User-driven content on the Internet often consists of bullying, conspiracy theories and racial prejudice. The absolute freedom of the medium paradoxically encourages authoritarian impulses to intimidate and silence others. The least responsible contributors see their darkest tendencies legitimated and reinforced, while serious voices are driven away by the general ugliness.

Ethicist Clive Hamilton calls this a "belligerent brutopia." "The Internet should represent a great flourishing of democratic participation," he argues. "But it doesn't. . . . The brutality of public debate on the Internet is due to one fact above all -- the option of anonymity. The belligerence would not be tolerated if the perpetrators' identities were known because they would be rebuffed and criticized by those who know them. Free speech without accountability breeds dogmatism and confrontation."

This destructive disinhibition is disturbing in itself. It also allows hatred to invade respected institutional spaces on the Internet, gaining for these ideas a legitimacy denied to fringe Web sites. After the Bernard Madoff scandal broke, for example, major newspaper sites included user-generated content such as "Find a Jew who isn't Crooked" and "Just another jew money changer thief" -- sentiments that newspapers would not have printed as letters to the editor. Postings of this kind regularly attack immigrants and African Americans, recycle centuries of anti-Semitism and deny the events of the Holocaust as a massive Jewish lie.

Legally restricting such content -- apart from prosecuting direct harassment and threats against individuals or incitement to violence -- is impossible. In America, the First Amendment protects blanket statements of bigotry. But this does not mean that popular news sites, along with settings such as Facebook and YouTube, are constitutionally required to provide forums for bullies and bigots. As private institutions, they are perfectly free to set rules against racism and hatred. This is not censorship; it is the definition of standards.

Some online institutions, such as The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, screen user comments before posting them. Others, such as The Post and The Wall Street Journal, rely on readers to identify objectionable content -- a questionable strategy because numbness to abusiveness and hatred on the Internet is part of the challenge.

Whatever the method, no reputable institution should allow its publishing capacity, in print or online, to be used as the equivalent of the wall of a public bathroom stall.

The exploitation of technology by hatred will never be eliminated. But hatred must be confined to the fringes of our culture -- as the hatred of other times should have been.

We published an article concerning the revelation (snicker) that the "Fairness Fairy" was claiming to be a CHRC mole.... er.... whistleblower (snort). Jay Currie, Mr. Kathy Shaidle and the lost souless voids of FreeDom promptly published the information. Today, Stormfront moderator OdinPatrick followed suit:

We surmised that the, "Fairness Fairy" may, in fact, be Marc Lemire himself given that he used the pseudonym "Veritas-Canada" on Wikipedia and "FairnessFairy2" was a known sockpuppet of his that he also used to edit his own Wiki entry.

Well, the Fairness Fairy promised more revelations to prove that he was, in fact, a CHRC mole (damn, we mean whistleblower) that would be published on Saturday:

And then there's the continuing saga of the "Nazi Dad" and "Nazi Mom" of Winnipeg. Well, "Nazi Mom" can't be bothered with this whole mess anymore so we suppose we're dealing mostly with "Nazi Dad" now. Guess what? Apparently "Nazi Dad" is actually a really good parent according to his lawyer:

Fairness Fairy: Secret Agent Man (or Woman..... But Likely Man)

We've been aware of the online presence of the "Fairness Fairy" and his (or her) blog for some time. The blog has claimed to be providing information on the Marc Lemire hearings but aside from sexually degrading women and antisemitic rhetoric, it really hasn't offered really anything new. However, recently there was a big reveal. The "Fairness Fairy" is, according to the author, a CHRC mole.

Oh, we mean whistleblower. Our bad.

Our avid reader Jay Currie promptly posted the article on his blog and then scampered to Free Dominion to spread the good news:

Some who have decided to turn on the logic portion of their brains are justifiably suspicious by this new claim by "Fairness Fairy." Others are downright disgusted:

Well, the real issue is who exactly the "Fairness Fairy" is. Is this blog writer truly a disgruntled CHRC whistleblower who is mad as hell and not going to take it any more? We're somewhat dubious given the racist and antisemitic garbage previously posted on his (or her) blog. But who is he (or she)? 'Tis a mystery that will never be solve it would appear given the difficulties of determing online identities.

Unless.........

You see, the name, "Fairness Fairy" seemed really, really familiar to us. We put our little egg heads together to try and remember where we've heard that name before. Then it hit us. Not only had we seen this name before, we actually wrote an article in which the "Fairness Fairy" was mentioned:

Marc Lemire Edits His Own Wikipedia Article

Marc was caught and banned for editting his own Wikipedia articles using the online pseudonym, "Veritas-Canada" and for engaging in an editting war on Richard Warman's Wiki page. It was also discovered that, in addition to the "Veritas-Canada" pseudonym, Marc was also using at least two and perhaps three sockpuppet pseudonyms.

One sockpuppet might have been RachaelMartinez,

Fromm and CAFE: Libel Payment Made In Full

So you know how Mr. Warman won his libel suit against Paul Fromm. And remember how Paulie lost his appeal and was assessed costs? And remember how Paulie said that he was going to continue to fight until his last, dying, breath?

Okay, we don't remember that last part either.

The point is that we've received word that Paulie has paid, in full, the judgment against him. That would be over $40,000.

Now, where does an unemployed teacher find that kind of scratch? Given how they're always screaming poverty, we can't imagine the racist speaking circuit can pay all that well. And as stupid as we think Paulie is, we can't imagine he's as stupid as his buddy David Duke was when he defrauded his own sheep (who, by the way, promptly forgave and forgot, just like true herd animals).

Paul Fromm and His Neo-Nazi Body Guards

Earlier this week (September 21) in Kennsington, Maryland, a meeting of the Council of Conservative Citizens took place. For a brief background on this hate group in suits:

Roots in Jim Crow

The roots of the CCC rest in white opposition to integration during the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. The group is a successor to the Citizens' Councils of America (originally configured as the White Citizens' Councils), an overtly racist organization formed in the 1950s in reaction to the Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education decision outlawing school segregation. Trumpeting the "Southern way of life," the CCA used a traditionalist rhetoric that appealed to better-mannered, more discreet racists; while the Klan burned crosses, the CCA relied on political and economic pressure.

You'll notice when you click on the link that one of the extremists associated with the CoCC is none other than Canada's own Paul Fromm. Guess who was one of the keynote speakers?

It is the Council of Conservative Citizens! And those that came out to protest against it weren't just making "claims of racism" when they did. They showed it. We were there for the fun and excitement when a chapter of the CCC decided to hold this meeting on Monday, and the blog Lady Liberty's Lamp filed this report. We also have to show them love for the photos that are provided here. In other words, if the organizers thought they could just do something like this without someone saying something. They have been effectively dissuaded!

September 21, 2009, Kensington, MD- A protest of concerned anti-racist activists and neighbors gathered to protest and bring public awareness to a evening get together of the white collar racist organization Council of Conservative Citizens, or C of CC. At this white power soirée was scheduled to speak; Canadian neo-nazi activist Paul Fromm, who most recently organized a skinhead rally in Calgary that turned into a violent brawl between the neo-nazi gang Aryan Guard and local anti-fascists. In the Northeast, C of CC events are regularly cancelled or shut down by venues that are alerted to the true nature of the event that they are about to host; the C of CC either lies outright or otherwise conceals the true nature of their events. Due to this, tonight’s event was held at the home of owner of Peak Construction and Barnes Review contributor Mr. Peter Papaheraklis.

Members of Mr. Papaheraklis’ middle-class, suburban neighborhood also turned out to voice their opposition to this event. Most notable was the presence of three members of the violent neo-nazi skinhead gang Maryland State Skinheads. Also present was Stormfront contributer Wendy Murphy and a man who, after claiming the holocaust was a hoax and that communism is a Jewish plot, identified himself as a national socialist. Despite a spirited presence by protesters, no physical altercations occurred.

Routinely hosting racist speakers and supporting racist events, the C of CC sparks protests wherever it goes. Last year, the C of CC sponsored a speaking tour by notorious holocaust denier David Irving. The group also maintains associations with David Duke, Jared Taylor– whose American Renaissance group is listed as a terrorist organization by the state of Virginia. What separates the C of CC from other run-of-the-mill hate groups is their close associations with mainstream politics. Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour spoke at a C of CC rally, former Senator Trent Lott of Mississippi spoke at C of CC events five times and numerous other mainstream political figures from other states have attended or spoken at C of CC events.

Chalk this up as yet another C of CC event that didn’t go off without a hitch.

So Paulie spoke at a meeting that included not only the racists in suits, but also at least three violent members of a bonehead gang and a Stormfront regular. Quite the company he keeps, hey?

But these aren't all.

Paulie mentions the meeting on his Facebook profile, crowning that, "the censors" didn't shut them down:

Crime and Punishment

Although the National Alliance under Erich Gliebe is smaller, has far less money and is dramatically less effective in promoting racist ideology, there is growing evidence the group is nevertheless attracting an increasingly volatile and violent criminal class into its ranks.

Since the July 2002 death of Alliance founder and longtime leader William Pierce, Alliance members and former members have been charged with a number of serious violent crimes, including kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated assault and at least seven murders. They include:

Jason McGhee

A former National Alliance headquarters staff employee, Jason Samuel McGhee, who's awaiting trial for the 2006 shooting and stabbing murders of four young people in Georgia. If convicted, McGhee would face the death penalty. (McGhee and another Alliance member had previously been arrested for shouting racist slurs and firing guns in front of a school bus full of Latino children in September 2001.)
National Alliance Maryland state coordinator Craig Jackson, who in late 2002 was charged with smuggling contraband into a state prison where he worked as a guard. In February 2003, Jackson crashed his truck into a tree while driving to a plea hearing. He died almost instantly. Police investigators at the scene noted the absence of skid marks and said there was no explanation for the crash, leading to speculation that Jackson may have caused his own death to avoid prison. If so, he wasn't the only senior NA member to die by his own hand. In October 2003, NA compound security guard Kenneth Springer, 23, shot and killed himself with one of William Pierce's handguns.
National Alliance Georgia state coordinator Chester James Doles, who was sentenced to federal prison on weapons charges in March 2004.
Another former NA staff employee, Thomas Martin, who was arrested by the FBI in 2007 and charged with kidnapping and robbing several Florida drug dealers. Officials say Martin and an accomplice posed as police officers in the robberies. They're awaiting trial in Orlando.
NA Florida unit member and Army Special Forces soldier David Kellerman, who was indicted in October 2006 after allegedly attempting to smuggle automatic weapons and a large amount of explosives into the U.S. from Afghanistan.
NA New York state organizer James Leshkevich, who beat and strangled his wife to death before hanging himself in his garage in 2007.
Former NA Media Director Kevin Alfred Strom, who was convicted of possession of child pornography and sentenced to federal prison in April 2008.
Former NA chairman Shaun A. Walker, who's serving a seven-year federal prison term for targeting and assaulting minorities in Salt Lake City along with that city's NA unit leader, Travis D. Massey, who's serving four-and-a-half years for the same offenses. Among other crimes, Walker, Massey and a third NA member dragged a Hispanic bartender outside and beat him unconscious after he ordered them to leave an establishment where they were distributing NA literature.

Report on the Demonstration for Equality

We received the following report from one of the organizers of the event that took place on September 18, 2009:

Subject: Equality Report.

Dear readers,

The Demonstration for Equality was a success! I'd personally like to thank those 20 or so people who came out for their participation and support.

I showed up at around 1:30 and waited around until I met up with a few mates of mine. By the time they showed up there was already a group of people forming. At 5:00 pm we had decided to move out. Just as we all got up and started marching down front street we encountered Nazi boneheads (two of them to be exact). They tried their hardest to shut us down from across the street! But they failed after flashing their 'white power' flag for 2 seconds after yelling Oi! After their second of glory they disappeared into thin air.

After that brief encounter we continued up university towards Queens Park. Upon arrival we met up with another fellow activist. We hung around and talked about funny stories involving boneheads, getting to know each other and I believe its safe to say that we all became friends.

At 6:30pm we moved out towards the Annex to go see 'Shwatarded.' An excellent film if I may say so myself.

After the film, some of the participants headed home, others went out and enjoyed the rest of the night. Overall looking at this from many perspectives that have been given to me I think that this was a success because of two key components. First, it remained a peaceful demonstration which is excellent. Second, we were able to discuss different methods to advertise the next one better, I now know of more organizations that I can contact to get more people to attend and I know that there is already a core group of people that will show up next time around.

So What's New With the FreeDom Folks?

We make a point of not visiting Free Dominion too often. Frankly, it gives us all headaches. But we did take a gander a few days ago. It appears that resident crazy uncle Edward Kennedy had (another) visit from the RCMP around September 17:

Isn't life exciting? I was contacted by, and agreed to a meeting with the RCMP earlier this evening in regards to a complaint from the inhuman rights commission. Poor babies, it seems they want to be immune from any criticism of their persecution of victims and imposition of their politically correct bs.

The constable was reasonable and pleasant to talk to during the investigation, and I gave him a lengthy statement over the issue.

I will post a review of what transpired and what was said, tomorrow and am sending the same message now to these clowns that I sent back in my statement. I am NOT going to stop exercising my freedom of expression and I am not nor will I be intimidated by the fat asses sitting on their heated thrones, thinking they can rule the wortld of thought.

More tomorrow, I am tired, and need to sleep. Working for a living does that to you, but then the arses at the hrc would not know about that. Half a day's work would kill these pompous pampered pathetic peons of pitiful political correctness.

...and now for the sequence of events.

The general public is and has been aware of my total contempt and disdain for hrc's far and wide, openly voiced here and in real life. One cannot love freedom, democracy and justice without hating the alter, and in my observations of their bullying and totalitarian tactics, my disgust and anger was, is and WILL be apparent.

The RCMP called me late afternoon yesterday and asked if they could visit me, to which I agreed immediately. However, I thought this visit had to do with an investigation over a recent filed complaint I made with the Police Services Commission over violation of oath and code, abuse of system, and duplicity/partiality of several Renfrew OPP officers.

It was interesting when I started the conversation, leading off on that note, when I realized the issue was a complaint by the crybabies at the hrc who did not like me to be so critical of their attacks on justice, democracy and freedom.

The officer made it clear this was an official investigation and read me my rights, which I summarily dismissed and invited him to bring out a tape recorder if he had one in his pack, which he did, and turn it on.

When he did I made a statement about my right to freedom of expression and I made it clear that I would not desist in any way in exercising this freedom fought for in the last Great Wars, also mentioning that I had relatives who had shot better people than hrc tyrrants.

The officer indicated this was about comments made on the "Lemire" case but I corrected this by stating every case I have observed in the jungle of hrc defecation to be similar and an attack on freedom, justice and democracy so my comments and criticisms applied to everything they had touched and defiled. He asked if I used any other computer and I stated the truth that I used only the one in my study. The initial session lasted about twenty minutes after which we had conversations off the record about the fascism of the "Places to Grow Act" wherein the lieberals had written into the act that no compensation would be allowed for landowners and that redress before the courts was made illegal. When a provincial government takes away the basic right to a man's day in court the best word for that is FASCISM and FASCISTS.

Anyway, this material will be taken to his supervisor and then to Ottawa where an official will make a decision. I think that this issue falls under "Section 59" that prohibits intimidation/threats of the hrc's, right after the part where they are given entitlement to special soft toilet paper and mandatory "bidets" in their sheltered existences. Seems that they have yet to learn that as public figures, they are subject to criticism and ridicule. Respect must be earned, and what these self important pitiful excuses for people see to not have learned is nobody, myself included, can be mandated by decree to bow down at their feet and worship their pathetic personages. I think they are a waste of human air and skin.

The issue is strictly one of interpretation and these inquisitors had better learn quickly that what I say and what their paranoid minds read into it are generally two different things. NOBODY has the right to tell me what I mean by what I say and to impose on my words their own fairy tale interpretations.

I asked the Constable to take a message to them, that they can have their fat asses transported to the local OPP station a few miles from here and under the security of the whole detachment, replete with armaments, I will entertain their questions BUT I reserve the right to ask my own. It will be I will answer one of their every time they answer one of mine.

Now how is that for a deal? We will see what they say in return. To be sure, though, I will offer no respect for a bunch of overpaid fat assed politically correct underworked busybodies who think they can impose their warped and tainted ideologies on others, least of all me.

Stay tuned, I could get lucky, they might tyake me up on my offer of the meeting. Hope though they do not mind me wearing my sawdust covered workclothes, I only dress up for suitable occasions.

I have good people around me, today I addressed a public meeting with Randy Hillier as guest speaker, Jack MacLaren, president of the OLA, and Scott Reid who was also scheduled but could not come due to the early return to parliament.

I spoke an hour and mc'ed the meeting, my theme was "Justice Democracy and Freedom". I addressed many issues as well as the hrc fascists. Randy mentioned the hrc problem. I had told a key OLA member about the hrc thing and was called and asked about it by top OLA brass without telling anyone else. Randy Hillier called me and asked about it before the meeting today where we both spoke.

Needless to say, the boys are not pleased. This is an intimidation tactic that is not intimidating anyone, but will have the opposite effect, and when I am told who is the whiner, the shite will hit the fan.

And just so Kennedy, a man who has posted comments about, "typical n****** behavior" and who has celebrated the murder of a doctor, is aware, here is the info on intimidation and discrimination:

No person shall threaten, intimidate or discriminate against an individual because that individual has made a complaint or given evidence or assisted in any way in respect of the initiation or prosecution of a complaint or other proceeding under this Part, or because that individual proposes to do so.

In other FreeDom news, we heard from a friend of a friend who knows a guy that one of the John Does have filed his defense in the Warman libel suit against the John Does, the Fourniers, and FreeDom. And while we aren't aware of the particulars of the defense, we're sure it will be as successful as the last libel suit Mr. Warman was involved in.
