I loved it back then and I still love it! I was growing up right along with Angela and her friends when the show was originally on, so this show really takes me back to that time...

The first, and only, season was released on DVD recently, so I'm Netflixing it. We just got the first disc yesterday, and watched all 3 episodes on it immediately.

Can't wait to get the rest of the discs. So, for all you MSCL fans out there: I recommend either buying the DVDs, or saving $$ like me and Netflixing them!!

Powered by ScribeFire.

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241987259432918597.post-57121972752099182752008-01-04T08:41:00.001-06:002008-01-04T08:41:11.484-06:00Across The Universe
Martin and I saw the movie Across The Universe last night, and we both really enjoyed it. It is a musical set in the turbulent 60's about the war and some of the people it affected. ALL the songs are Beatles songs, which are sung by the characters in the movie!

I am, of course, a huge Beatles fan, so I loved it. The actors all have really nice voices, but I think my favorite was Martin Luther (JoJo). The movie tied all the songs together to fit into the story so perfectly that you would think they were written for the movie. That really amazed me.

Another great thing was all the references to the Beatles, like the first scene at the Cavern Club, where the Beatles first played (and were discovered) in Liverpool. That scene was actually filmed at the real Cavern Club!! It is filled with other references, too, so anyone who knows about the lives and times of the Beatles will enjoy picking them out.

Powered by ScribeFire.

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241987259432918597.post-1079635718529452582007-12-31T15:56:00.001-06:002007-12-31T15:56:14.208-06:001 test closer to my MCSE!
I passed another Microsoft Certification test today! I was pretty nervous about this test, and didn't feel prepared enough to take it. But, I must have been because I did quite well on it!

I doubt I can say more about it because of the Microsoft non-disclosure agreement I signed.

3 tests down, 1 more to go for my MCSA, then 4 more after that for my MCSE! :-)

Now I am ready to party tonight, new years eve! I'm not feeling to festive, though, because our Halloween Party is done and over with for the year. It was a lot of fun, but it's a long time until the next one! I really think we should throw a Halloween Party at least 4 times a year.

Check out pictures of the party here: http://www.tasita.com/pics

Powered by ScribeFire.

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241987259432918597.post-8782150336880519542007-09-21T16:59:00.001-05:002007-09-21T16:59:40.029-05:00Resident Evil: Extinction - After seeing the movie
We saw RE3: Extinction at the 12:50 show in our theaters new "UltraScreen" which is the best theater I've been to with nice reclining seats, head rests, a GREAT sound system, and actual ROOM to walk through the isles of seats (which is good because I drank too much and had to leave in the middle of the movie).

The movie was good. I was impressed, really, as I was worried it would be all action and no plot. The movie did have a lot of action, but the plot was good, too. They incorporated a lot of elements of the games, so I liked that. Ali Larter was a good choice to play Claire Redfeild. Too bad Chris wasn't there, too. The dogs and zombies looked good and scary. The Tyrant was cool, too, but didn't he have a huge hand of blades, not tentacles? It's been a while since I played the games, so I could be wrong.

I must say, however, that I was not impressed with the Albert Wesker character. Jason O'Mara did a fine job of acting like Wesker, but he just doesn't look like Wesker at all. I could throw on some black sun glasses and dye my hair blond, too, but that doesn't mean I should play Albert Wesker!

The end left me hanging, and wondering if there will actually be a fourth movie. I've read SO many times that this one is the last, but I hope not!

Powered by ScribeFire.

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241987259432918597.post-91740350687633662112007-09-20T08:15:00.000-05:002007-09-20T08:22:14.584-05:00Resident Evil: Extinction - tomorrow! The third & final installment of the Resident Evil movies is coming out tomorrow, and I can't wait! I've been waiting for 3 years for this movie. I'm going to the first showing tomorrow, @ 12:50, and yes, I took the day off work to see it! I'm going to try to go in with no expectations, as I'm a bit worried this one won't be as good as the others. Well, I'll post back with my thoughts on the movie after I see it.

In other news, this is the last weekend that Companeros is open for the year!! I'm looking forward to having Martin home more, especially on the weekends, but I will miss going to Dorset while he's working.

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4241987259432918597.post-69524589686655338182007-07-19T16:10:00.000-05:002007-07-19T16:11:18.352-05:00My new blog - provided by Google's BloggerThis is just a test post to see if it's working!

Tashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03636767226477108671noreply@blogger.com0
