Katie & Matt - Married!

Hello Everyone!!

Seriously!! ITS NOVEMBER!! So sorry that we have not blogged for quite sometime!!! So here goes...

Katie and Matt live in Dubai and they contacted me because I photographed a friends wedding three years ago. Through lots of emails, phone calls, and a number of meetings when Katie and Matt were back in the States...I got to know this great couple. I describe Matt and Katie as if they are movie stars. They travel the world on weekend adventures, are wildly successful in business, and could both be models. What fascinates me most of all is that they are real people, just like you and me. Yes, they do things that most of us only dream of...but when it all comes down to it...they are two people that fell in love, found true friends in one another, and chose to commit themselves to each other for the rest of their lives.

Senior Session with Matt

Matt's Story:

Matt is a SQ1 fan. Enjoys the city life. Spins fire for fun.

Did I say spin fire...yeah! When meeting with Matt and his mom to discuss ideas and locations for senior pictures, they mentioned that Matt spins fire. After a few questions, I thought this was a brilliant way to capture some of Matt's story. So off to SQ1 and the 300 block of Queen, then back to the PCAD front law for some evening pic's of Matt spinning.

I was not exactly sure what to expect or how to capture Matt but I think we worked some great images of one of Matt's favorite forms of art: POI Spinning. Matt, i look forward to the next time we get to work together and capture more art! Blessings and spin safe!

Ian is a golf guy through and through...so what better place to capture some portriats of Ian then at one of his most favorite places, the golf course! Vivian & Aaron - MARRIED!

Hello Everyone,

I am excited to share with you another fabulous wedding! Vivian and Aaron live in Florida but Aaron grew up here in Manheim Township. So, I meet Aaron at his parents home were he got ready for a few portraits and Nicola meet Vivian at the Eden Resort were she prepared. Vivian was then escorted to the ceremony in a Bentley with her mom and dad. In the prep room of the Highland Presbyterian Church, Vivian finished her final touches and gorgeous portraits in front of the stained glass windows (great work Nicola!) After the ceremony we captured a few portraits at the church the off to Greenfield Industrial park for a few portraits in the willow trees, then back to the Eden in the Bentley for the reception.

The Eden was stunning! Kelly Steadman from All Things Beautiful worked with the florial design and the staff at the Eden Resort Inn served a delightful 4 course elegant dinner. Then if was time for fun, laughter and of course some great dancing in the evening with Ellen Wascou at Stardust Entertainment Dj's.

Jackie and Levi get hitched

Hey Eveyone,

Wow! I am excited to post our first Lancaster County Convention Center wedding reception!!! You may remember Jackie and Levi's engagement pictures from the beginning of the year...Well, their wedding day arrived on Saturday and I was privileged to get another chance to work with them!

Nicola and Lauren started out at Jackie's house for prep and I went to Levi's house just around the corner from the girls. The girls captured some stunning images of Jackie and the bridesmaids while I worked a few images with the guys over at the barn. Levi is from Texas so we found a few ways to honor his roots! Then it was off to St. Mary's in a BIG Texas size limo!!

Ceremonies always have great little stories everywhere...from the little flower girl not quite making it down the aisle to the little ring bearer's lost and found flower (it almost stayed on). Another part of the ceremony that is becoming more and more heart felt for me is watching the Father of the bride put his daughter's hand into the hand of another man...hmmm that is going to be emotional!! The images of Jackie's dad are some of my favorites of the day!!

We planned for pictures at the park after the ceremony but due to the rain it was cut short. We did, however, capture some stunning images of Jackie and Levi before heading back to the city for some rain speckled Central Market images. Then came another highlight of my day...photographing at the Convention Center. I have photographed at the LCC a number of times but this was my first wedding there...what great times!!

What a gorgeous day for such an awesome couple! It was amazing to see how Shawnee and Phil interacted together; with little things like their gifts before the wedding. Such care and affection was shown through their interaction, their smiles and laughter. Thank you Shawnee and Phil, you and your party will not be forgotten! Liz and Jon were INCREDIBLE! Never in my entire career of photography has anyone been so at ease with the weather. For example when they held the ceremony outside and it rained throughout the entire ceremony. They acted like they had planned it that way. As such it was one of the most beautiful and stunning ceremonies that I have ever photographed. There was so much love and emotion displayed throughout the event. Nothing could hold these two back. Liz and Jon, thank you for sharing your day with Amanda and I. It was an incredible wedding that I know is only a glimpse of the incredible love that you share. Liz & Adam - Engaged!

Hello again everyone!

It is so exciting to be back and blogging another great capture session. Liz and Adam will be getting married next year (2010) and asked if would capture some engagement pictures at Pheasant Run this past week. I have to admit that Pheasant Run has a special place in my heart because Allison and I were married there 5 years ago!!

Wow!! So many upgrades have happened since Allison and I were married there! But you know, it doesn't matter how many upgrades you give to a property because it is the people that make the place special!! It was so great working with Liz and Adam even though the weather was quite hot.

I enjoyed how natural and these two worked with each other. I simple needed to find some great light and let them be themselves. Great job Liz and Adam and i will look forward to 2010!!!

Cortney & Mark - Engaged!

Hello Everyone,

Cortney and Mark are getting married this coming Nov. and as Cortney and I talked details for the wedding she confessed that she was a little nervous about getting her picture taken. I suggested that we set a time to capture some engagement photos to help break the ice and nerves. So the next question was where?? We talk about locations that were significant to both Cortney and Mark. We came up with the first place where they meet...a ball field outside of York PA. Well as schedules filled up, Mark suggest that we change locations last minute. Mark is a pitcher for the Orioles and had a few days off over All Star break and suggested we capture images on the field!!

I was so excited to go down and capture these images, but what made my night was watching Cortney experience a little bit of what Mark experiences when He pitches. It's not just everyday Cortney is able to put her feet on the mound where Mark pitches. It got even better when we pulled the tarps off the field and Cortney hit a few balls with Mark.

I am not sure how to describe in words how excited I was to be on field capturing images of Cortney and Mark, but I do hope that these images give you a glimpse into the love that these two have for each other. Over miles, weeks away from each other, and stressful ball games I hope these images will help bring joy to your hearts and peace to your minds that you are waiting for each other when you return from those long times away!! Blessing to you!

Kristen and Dave, again another one of those weddings where I was on pins and needles throughout the day. Hoping and praying the rain would hold off. Sure enough it did! Though there were a couple sprinkles here and there, everything went exactly as planned and we were able to photograph outside through it all! You guys were amazing, the details perfect and the friends incredible. I will always remember the time at your wedding, the way you guys stared into each others eyes so often and so lovingly! It was quite clear to all present that you were meant for each other. I hope that these images show that just as clearly as the day. Jinny & Steve

Jinny and Steve's wedding was planned to perfection everything set and ready to rock - then it rained! The tent flooded and the entire reception had to be moved and everything reset and done from scratch. Did this phase this couple? Nope, not in the least. Both Jinny and Steve were the picture of calm and collected going with the flow like it was exactly as they had always planned it. It is a such a testament to their love for each other that they could lay aside all the well laid plans that they had taken so long to accomplish and start anew. Everything was perfect from the gorgeous ceremony to the reception that although not as originally planned still showed their love for each other and their persevering spirits! Jinny and Steve I hope that throughout the rest of your lives you always look back on your day and remember the love that you share. The strength that you have in each other and the passion for life that you both so obviously have!

Emily & Mike Take To the Altar

Hello Everyone,

One of the things that i enjoy about my job is meeting people. For example lets take Mike and Emily: I met with Mike and Emily over a year ago to sign contracts and talk about details for me to photograph their wedding. Fast forward through 12 months of life...wait a minute!! There was so much that happened over the past 12 months, Mike was in China on business for a few weeks, Emily was teaching kindergarden (and my sweet little niece), I moved into a new studio...oh my what a crazy busy life. Then after a few meetings and conversations on the phone it is now Emily and Mikes wedding day!!

For one day...Really 8-10hrs I have the privilege and honor to capture one of the most significant/life altering celebrations of two people's crazy schedules, their gifts and talents, and families join together for life. During all this emotion of joy, excitement, nervousness, and anticipation I am capturing images. The thing that gets me the most is that there are so many other experiences in life that need to be documented and recorded but it is for this one day that we pour out our gifts and talents to capture images for Emily and Mike to never forget this incredible day! I know that I have said this before but I love my job and it is so incredible to photograph for my clients!

Thanks so much Emily and Mike! My hope is that these images continue to encourage you throughout the years together...blessings on your marriage.

Kelsey and Nathan, you guys were a blast! There is nothing that I can say to truly capture your spirits. You were such a fun and sincere couple. Your laughter and smiles filled the day with such joy and emotion! Everything from the Mobile station to Riverdale was incredible. The bridal party, the family, the friends, everyone involved was up for anything and filled the day with so many perfect moments. It was awesome to be able to capture your wedding. Amy & Harrison Tied the Knot!

Hello Again,

There was no other place Billy and I would have desired to spent our day with than Amy and Harrison on June 27th. I asked Billy if he could share one thing that stood out about the day what would it be?? {LOVE} was his answer! I kinda laughed and said well yes but tell me more...Billy began to describe how he could not only see but feel the love that Harrison had for Amy and how Amy beamed with love for Harrison. Billy also remarked about how much we connected with the guest and family. It was the joy of celebrating with them the love of Amy and Harrison. I remember watching Amy during the slide show at the reception. You could see how proud and excited she was to be marring Harrison. Another moment for me was seeing Harrison looking across at Amy when she was not watching. It is something how LOVE can see all the great things about each other. I hope you see the great things about Amy and Harrison.

Amy and Harrison, I hope as you look over these images in the years to come, that you remember June 27th, the beginning of a lifetime of Love.

Britney & Caleb - Married!

For Britney and Caleb's wedding I had the privilege of photographing at the gorgeous Conewago Manor Inn near Elizabethtown. It was a perfect day. Everyone was full of emotion. Laughter, tears and smiles were not in short supply at this wedding! It was such a beautiful event, one that will not be forgotten by all who attended. Rienna & Ryan - Married

Daniel here again... Finally posting! Rienna and Ryan had one of the most fun filled days I have photographed in a long time. With Norm (Boston Terrier), an amazing bridal party and some of the greatest dancers (Rienna's brothers) in the area all involved in their wedding it was sure to be a success. But I had no idea! The day went perfectly, to a T. Everything was gorgeous and wonderfully done from the incredible vintage dress that had been Rienna's mother's down to the favors and decor at Fireside Inn and Tavern in Strasburg. Senior Session with Tyler

Tyler is a brother of one of my past senior clients. I was excited when mom called and asked me to capture Tyler's pictures. She requested that I capture a few images by their famous and most photographed willow tree in their backyard. We headed over to the LS baseball fields to capture a few more images of one of Tyler's greatest passions...baseball. Tyler was not exactly excited about getting his picture take because he thinks he does not photograph well. Well, Tyler I think you did a great job and I hope you enjoy a few my favorites from your session.

Shelleen & Tom...totally in love!

Amanda and I had a BLAST at Shelleen and Tom's wedding. We both train at Weaver's Personal Training which Tom owns, so it made it that much more enjoyable to be able to work with a couple we know! These two are so perfect together. You can just see the love they share and it seems that every look and every smile to each other speaks a thousand words! Hello Everyone and happy 4th!!

We are excited to post another great wedding captured on June 6th. Sami and Chris married at the beautiful Hershey Garden. The girls began at the Hershey Hotel and the guys at the butterfly house at the gardens. Nicola and I captured a few images of the girls up at the Hotel before the wedding. You will see one of my favorite images of Sami with her mom (the florist who created all the amazing flowers and decor) and dad(smiling the entire day!) for their formal before the ceremony. (Intern)Billy captured prep pictures of the guys and a few fun images of Chris and the guys around the gardens near the butterfly house. All of their guest's gathered underneath the shade trees in front of the rose gardens for the 11AM ceremony. One of my most favorite things about capturing weddings is the sequence of emotions and little stories that unfold throughout the day. But, even more fun is having a great team to work with like Nicola and Billy to capture a number of different angles that tell the fullness of the story that unfolds right before our lenses. Just look at these sweet little flower girls with their butterfly wings! Sami's brother sang a song during the ceremony that left quite a few guest's in tears and in awe of his talented vocals. Another joy is to capture images of the guest and loved ones during the ceremony. You can see just a few of the emotions that pour out of mom and dad, what a joy it is to capture weddings. I hope you enjoy looking through a few of my favorite images for the day. Which sequence or images do you like?
