The Toronto Star website has a list of the 10 best US Shows Canadians probably aren't watching, and Bones gets a mention.

Its ratings are up this fourth season, but the forensic romantic comedy procedural, starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, has already outlived the traditional life expectancy of any show with an unconsummated sexual subtext. But the patter factor is more deliciously deft than ever. Someething has eventually got to give, so this is more of pre-emptive plea not to abandon it, and to convince others to jump on the train. Besides, it's my dad's favourite show.

Today's question:

Bones sometimes cites websites in it's case research. Sometimes they are real sites, and sometimes they are fake, like the "Hotty Student Body" site that was a nod at Girls Gone Wild.

How many 'real' websites can you name that have been cited (either verbally, or clearly and recognizably shown in the background) in the show? (No government or standard crime database websites count - everyday, normal sites only, sites that anyone might visit.)

Give an episode where the website was mentioned or seen as well. Whoever can name the most today wins.

I'm still coming off the holiday weekend. The family stuff is actually stretching into tomorrow now. I promise we'll get back to normal around here soon!

I was sad to see that this Bones promo consists entirely of old footage as it promotes the January return, and the new Thursday time slot. We need some new stuff to get us by until January.

TVbythenumbers, where I love to get the ratings news, took Thursday off for Thanksgiving, but we do have some 1/2 hour data to see that this week's Bones episode, "The Bone that Blew," did dip about a million, probably due to the holiday, but still won the hour and the demos.

#10: BONES: We're not sure what we dig more -- Crystal Method's techno theme or the sped-up flashes of cast members as they pore over decomposed skeletons and other lab trappings. The only definite is that you walk away knowing exactly what the show's about and that it's cool as hell.

A far more interesting article is this Q&A with David Boreanaz, where he talked with Backstage.com.

On getting his first agent and job:

"I had to go in and do a scene. I was studying at the Gardner Stages on Sunset, and you’d do tons of monologues and scene study work. So I picked this girl to help me do the scene. It was working great in class, and then we went to do it in the agency and she was like a different person — she was all flamboyant and weird. I just did my thing and got out, and I said, ’This is not gonna go down well. That was the worst experience ever.’ The next hour, they called me in and they wanted to represent me. Lo and behold, I had an agent. They gave me an audition, and I went out for Married With Children and I booked the job."

Strike Incoming?

We haven't really talked strike news in awhile, because, well, there hasn't been anything to say. The SAG members have been working without a contract since June 30th of this year, and it now appears that recent talks have completely broken down and, if not a full strike, a strike vote most certainly seems imminent.

I am completely behind the actors getting what they deserve. Many people think actors are all like George Clooney and Angelina Jolie - rich, in effect. But SAG has over 120,000 members, most of which are paid average wages, just like the rest of us and they deserve fair treatment and payment for the work they perform.

That said - do we really need another Bones season messed up? I hope they are able to work things out, but it does not look promising.

BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) "The Santa in the Slush"
In an encore of this holiday favorite, the body of a man with a white beard and a tailor-made Santa costume is discovered in the sewer near a D.C. mall just three days before Christmas. As the team gathers forensic evidence, the victim, whose legal name was Kristopher Kringle, seems to match the legend more closely each step of the way. As Christmas Day approaches, the Jeffersonian team works to find out who would have wanted this true-to-myth Santa dead. Meanwhile, Brennan visits her father in jail and plots a not-so-traditional Christmas reunion, and Booth and Brennan find themselves in close quarters with the mistletoe just overhead.

So right now, the December schedule looks something like this:
