Bill Little will be the presenter. Bill is a long time area resident and has been a Chess Expert for decades. He will show that we can avoid a lot of pitfalls in chess if we take a little preventative medicine. This lecture will focus on simple defensive measures that should be taken before positions become indefensible. <o:p> </o:p>The lecture will be at the <st1:placename style="font-weight: bold;" st="on">Saratoga Springs</st1:PlaceName> <st1:placename style="font-weight: bold;" st="on">United</st1:PlaceName> <st1:placename style="font-weight: bold;" st="on">Methodist</st1:PlaceName> <st1:placetype style="font-weight: bold;" st="on">Church</st1:PlaceType> located at <st1:street st="on"><st1:address st="on">175 Fifth Avenue</st1:address></st1:Street> in <st1:place st="on"><st1:city st="on">Saratoga Springs</st1:City></st1:place>, in the Atkins Room. Use the entrance off the big parking lot. The Atkins Room is down the hallway to the left. <o:p> </o:p>Use the I-87 Northway to Exit 14. <st1:street st="on"><st1:address st="on">Henning Road</st1:address></st1:Street> is the first right turn (at light) as you head west towards town. The church is located at the intersection of <st1:street st="on"><st1:address st="on">Henning Road</st1:address></st1:Street> <st1:street st="on"><st1:address st="on">and Fifth Avenue</st1:address></st1:Street>.
