Belize Hosted trips 2010

We will be hosting two trips to a new destination in Belize in 2010. Hopkins village, a small fishing village 20 minutes flight south of Belize City, offers great flats fishing for permit and bonefish and has an uncountable number of lagoons in which to chase tarpon. We recently sent Toby Coe down there to check the place out and a report on the fishing has been published on our Newsletters webpage.

Accommodations are in a newly constructed 6 bedroom, four bathroom beach front house owned by Permit King Mr Jim Knowles. The house is fully air conditioned and golf carts are provided for transportation to the dock each morning and getting around the village. Evening meals will be taken in many of the local restaurants serving fresh seafood and local produce. Fishing is with experienced local guides out of pangas ( 2 anglers per boat), with much of the permit fishing done wading the flats. The two weeks we have selected have new moon and prime permit tides with high's on the first morning at 9am and progressing slightly later each day.

Turneffe Flats, Belize

We have a group trip running to Turneffe Flats in Belize in November. This offers a great opportunity for those anglers wanting the challenge of chasing permit on the flats. The week covers great tides with high tides progressing throughout the middle of the day meaning that your day will be spent fishing the 'prime' permit periods. Fly Fishing Norway: Atlantic Salmon

With the Naroy trip full we have opportunities to fish two superb rivers in Norway in July. The first is the River Aaelva (know as the Aa) between the 18th-25th July. The cost is £2600 for the weeks fishing, guide service and accommodation and board. There are 2 rods availble for this week.

We also have 2 rods available fishing the River Stryn for the week of the 5th-10th July. The cost is £2500 and includes fishing, guide service, accommodation and board.

Fly Fishing Russia: Yokanga Lodge

Jan-Feb 2010 NZ Hosted Trips

Fly Odyssey will be hosting 2 weeks of fly fishing on the South Island of New Zealand in January and February 2010. Each week will sample fishing a different region of the South Island providing a great insight into the diversity of fly fishing opportunities the South Island has to offer.

Fly fishing Bosnia

Fly Odyssey is conducting a hosted trip to Bosnia in early May 2009. The trip will involve fishing the mighty Ribnik and Pliva rivers. The Ribnik is an outstanding brown trout and grayling fishery and offers excellent dry fly and nymph fishing.

Christmas Island March 2010

We have had a great deal of interest in fly fishing Christmas Island and will be organising another trip to the remote coral atoll in March 2009. Christmas island offers the opportunity to experience some of the best bonefishing in the Pacific ocean and has the advantage of being a mixed fishery with Giant and bluefin trevally available along with triggerfish and pelagic species like yellowfin tuna and sailfish just outside the lagoon.
