According to RIESI , the Programme is not only affiliated to Bangalore University, but is also recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. The last date for sending in applications is August 31. The Fellowships are given with a view of promoting research in inter-disciplinary areas of testing and evaluation. The research topic may be in any field and in any discipline but with a component on testing and evaluation.
Applicant should have studied one of the 3 languages namely Hindi/Tamil/Urdu either as a major subject or as Part I/Part II subject up to the Graduate level in case of non-technical courses. If the applicants are from technical areas such as Engineering, Medicine etc, they should have studied one of the three languages up to the Higher Secondary level.
The fellowship amount is Rs.10000/- per month for Doctoral Research with a contingency of Rs.20000/- per year. For Post Doctoral Research, it is Rs.12,000/- per month with a contingency of Rs.30,000/- per annum. The period of the Fellowship is two years.

Online applications are invited from the aspiring Maharashtra State candidates who have passed SSC examination or equivalent examination for admission to First Year of Three/Four year Post SSC Diploma courses in Engineering/Technology in Govt, Govt Aided and such unaided polytechnics/institutes and/or such number of seats from unaided institutes, which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process of Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2009-10.

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (minimum 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories valid and recognised in the Maharashtra State) with subjects General Science/Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics/Algebra & Geometry and English.
For Eligibility criteria of OMS, J&K Migrant/FN/FS/NRI/PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries /GoI Nominee candidates shall refer information brochure carefully ( Ref Rule No. 2.1.1 to 2.1.3)
Availability of Information brochure and Application Kit and other details
• Information Brochure and Application Kit will be available for sale at the cost of Rs. 400/- for general Category candidates (Rs 300/- for reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Cash at all Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs) listed below. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
• It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the Information Brochure and Application Kit from ARC. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form.
• Submission of the application form in response to this admission notification will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.
Submission and Confirmation of online filled application form:-
• All Candidates are required to fill the web based online application form on
http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 at ARC/ Cyber Cafe or any computer connected to internet and take printout of the "Online filled Application Form" .
• The candidate should sign on the printout of online filled Application Form and attach the required attested copies of certificates.
• All Maharashtra State candidates should report in person to the ARC for confirmation along with attested true copies and original documents for verification, Applications submitted online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs will only be considered valid for further processing.
• The Maharashtra State Candidates belonging to VJ/DT (NT A), NT B, NT C, NT D, OBC and SBC categories should produce "Non Creamy Layer Certificate" issued by Sub Divisional Officer/Deputy Collector of the district in addition to the caste certificate. The "Non Creamy layer Certificate" should be valid up to 31st March 2010. In case, if these candidates are not able to produce the Non Creamy layer certificate at the time of confirmation of application form at ARC;
then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates and such candidates will not be able to stake claim on reserved seats in the entire admission process.
• In lieu of the "Certificate of Indian Nationality" following documents will also be acceptable 1. The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as 'Indian' or place of birth in India.

2. Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authorities.

3. Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India.
• In case of Domicile certificate, it should be issued by the Maharashtra State's appropriate authorities, clearly indicating domicile by permanent residence will be considered valid. The domicile certificate indicating domicile "By Choice" or "Education Purposes" will not be valid.
The domicile certificate of Mother of the candidate should have been issued after her marriage,such certificate issued before her marriage will not be valid. In case of mother's domicile certificate, the candidate shall submit an affidavit on Rs.20/- stamp paper, stating that the person in whose name the domicile certificate is issued is the mother of the candidate and the father of the candidate is not alive.
• Candidates claiming admission against seats for N.C.C. shall submit their applications to "The Director of N.C.C." Maharashtra State, A.F.I. Building, Mumbai Hospital Lane, Near Metro Cinema, Mumbai - 400 020.
• Candidates claiming admission against seats under centrally sponsored scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development of GoI for persons with disabilities shall apply directly to the Principal in response to the notification of the concerned Institute as mentioned in the information brochure.
• Other than Maharashtra candidates (OMS) are not eligible for admission through CAP, such candidates shall contact to unaided institutes for admission in institute level seats.
• The candidates are advised to report to the same ARC from where the form is purchased for various activities.
• ARCs shall also provide support to candidate for browsing of information such as merit list, allotment status, etc.
• There is possibility of new Unaided Diploma Institutes are likely to participate in CAP. List of such institutes will be displayed and updated on the Website http://www.dte.org.in/poly2009 and the detailed Institute's information will be given to the candidate in the form of supplement free of cost at the time of filling of Option Form at ARC where he/she had confirmed his/her online application form.

Re-scheduling of the Counselling/Admission, B.E.Programme

It is notified for the information of all the candidates, who have submitted application forms against reserved seats for admission in DCE/NSIT that the counseling for reserved category seats, which was scheduled earlier from July 13-17, 2009 is being re-scheduled as the Delhi Educational Institutions (Reservation in admission) Bill, 2009 is still under the consideration of the Government.

The Counselling for the reserved categories will now be held from 28.07.2009 to 01.08.2009, details schedule of which may be seen on our website: www.dce.edu and www.dce.ac.in

The counseling for general (open category) for Delhi and outside Delhi seats shall be held as per the original schedule from July 18, 2009 onwards.

Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, GV Raja Road, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram-695527, has invited applications for admission to the short term job oriented Hospitality Courses in the trades of (i) Food & Beverage Service (6 weeks duration) and (ii) Food Production (8 weeks duration). Applicant should have passed Class VIII and should be between 18 and 25 years of age.

The two courses would be delivered by affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management and Food Craft Institutes of National Council for Hotel Management. The Courses would be conducted in batches of 25 to 30 students. Selection would be through application received on first come first served basis.

There is no course fee. Students would be paid stipend of Rs.1500/- for Food & Beverage Course and Rs.2000/- for Food Production course on attaining 90% attendance. On completion of the course test would be conducted by the National Council and Certificate awarded.

KC Mahindra Education Trust, Mumbai, has invited applications for Mahindra All India Talent Scholarships, from students who have passed Std X or Std XII and have secured admissions this year in Government or Recognized Polytechnics for Diploma Courses.

Preference will be given to girl students; children form lower income group families, disabled children and children of armed forces personnel. Scholarship of Rs.5000/- per year for a maximum period of three academic years will be awarded to selected students to enable them to pursue diploma courses for which they have secured admissions.
