Update on orders and emails

First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank you all for your patience and understanding as I work out my email issues. Unfortunately, I have a new problem now - my computer has contracted a virus and I am unable to connect to the Internet from home for the time being. I currently only have access to the Internet in a limited manner (on breaks and lunches at work and through my cell phone).

Therefore, my order pad is closed for now. I hope to be back up and running within the next week. One small ray of light in all of this is that Google has restored my email account and as far as I know, I can send and receive emails once again without trouble. So at least there's that. If you want to email me, please feel free and I will reply ASAP. Please use the bluebirdblogs@gmail.com address.

If you have submitted your questionnaire to me recently, I am working on your design and will be in touch with you as soon as I have access to everything again.

If you are finding images missing from your design, please email your Blogger username and password to me at bluebirdblogs@gmail.com. I will reload/reinstall your images as soon as I can. The server I was using to store image files went down unexpectedly and I am in the process of moving over everything to a new server (as time and availability permits).

Again, thank you all for your patience and kindness and understanding. I would have never guessed that my email, images, and computer would have ever gone crazy all at practically the same time. When it rains, it pours, I guess! Please know that I will be in touch with all of you as soon as I possibly can.

Yes, that's right! Are you as excited as I am? I hope so! After two months off, I'm rested and ready and super-inspired to start doing blog designs again.

I will be doing a bit of housekeeping around here between 3/13 and 3/23 and I will start taking orders again on March 24th. My packages and prices will be changing just a little, so if you are interested, please check back on Monday 3/24 for the details.

Also, I'll be offering a discount on orders placed during the Grand Re-opening Week (March 24th-31st).

Temporarily Closed for Reflection

I have recently decided to take a break from designing blogs. Due to time constraints and the need to reconsider my priorities, I feel it would be best to close my order pad for now. Those who have already submitted payment will, of course, receive their blog design from me very soon.

It is my hope and prayer to be able to offer designs again in the not-too-distant future. I sincerely apologize to anyone who is disappointed by this news. Your enthusiasm and support have been immense blessings to me and I appreciate you all so much.

A New Beginning

After trying out a couple of different things, I've decided to keep my design business here at Bluebird Blogs. I had some problems with my previous template and with my email, so I thought I might just start over somewhere different. But the truth is, I'm just a teensy-weensy bit attached to Bluebird Blogs.

My order pad is currently closed, but will reopen on November 5th. I am working on designs for clients who have been on my waiting list for a while, so to be fair to them, I am devoting my concentration to their blogs right now. If you are interested in purchasing a design from me, please come back on Monday, November 5th, and place your order then.

Why should I choose Bluebird Blogs for my blog design?
Everything that I create is totally customized to your specifications. I will work closely with you to build a blog design that is both attractive, functional, and easy to use. I keep in mind the way you blog while I create your design, so the spotlight will shine on the content you work so hard to write.

How much does it cost to get a blog design done?
I try to keep my prices really low, because I know that money doesn't grow on trees for any of us. Please take a look at the packages and prices page to see which one suits your wants, needs, and budget.

Where can I see some of your designs?
Please visit my portfolio for thumbnails of some of my work as well as this list of links to all of my clients' blogs.

For which platforms can you create blog designs?
Currently, I only do full designs for those on the Blogger platform. I offer header designs for those who have a TypePad or WordPress blog.

Do you do WordPress designs?
I have decided not to offer WordPress designs; I apologize if that is your preferred blogging platform. I can create a header for your WordPress blog if you have an upgraded wordpress.com account or your own domain.

What about TypePad?
I can create a header for your TypePad blog if you have a TypePad Plus or Pro account.

What if I don't know any HTML or CSS?
That's okay! As mentioned above, I make my templates very user-friendly. You should be able to add links and buttons and such to your sidebars without any problems. If you order a Prime Customized Blog Design, you will receive a user maintenance guide with tons of helpful information on how to use your new template.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I prefer PayPal, but will accept personal checks and money orders.

Once I place an order, how long will it take before my designs is complete?
Depending on the complexity of your design and my workload, it can usually be ready to install within 2-6 weeks. You will be provided with a more specific date after your order is received.

When is payment due?
Payment is due in full as I begin working on the design, which is about one week before your completion date.

Are you available for support after my design has been installed?
The Prime Blog Design package comes with 6 months of total support, which begins the day your design is installed. During that time, you are free to email me anytime you have a question or problem with your design. After the free support period is over, you may purchase additional blocks of support if needed.

Do you ever have a sale or giveaways?
Yes! I have occasional holiday specials and giveaways. They are announced on the main page.

How did you learn how to create web designs?
A lot of practice, patience, trial and error! I made my very first web design in 1994 when I was 16 years old. I have been building my knowledge for over a decade now. I've spent many hours reading books, searching web sites, and tweaking templates. Web design is an ever-changing but absolutely fun field to be involved in, and I'm thankful for the blessing of the chance to share my skills with others.

Which programs do you use?
Corel Paint Shop Pro X, FileZilla, many of the Google tools as well as Photobucket.

Once you've browsed the packages and prices and reviewed the FAQ, when you are ready to order, please do the following:

In your email, please let me know which package you would like. Also, please include your blog address in the email.

I will reply to your email within 2-3 days with more information, including a questionnaire for you to fill out for me and an estimated completion date for your design.

About the Designer

Hello! I'm Susie, the owner and designer here at Bluebird Blogs. I live in the northwestern corner of Georgia in the United States. I love to read, cook, shop, and of course, learn all I can about web design and blogging. I'm 30 years old, very happily married, with no children yet (but we hope to have one in the future). I graduated in 2003 from Covenant College with my bachelor's degree in organizational management. In addition to creating designs, I also work full time as an inside sales specialist for a great company.

Some of my favorite things are puppies, bunnies, books, coffee, makeup, thunderstorms, daffodils, naps, bluebirds, clouds, House, and Shrimp Brochette from Pappadeaux. I love to travel with my husband; we've been on some great trips all over the Southeastern USA since we've been married. I also enjoy playing the piano, trying out new recipes, and listening to many different types of music. I'm very interested in American history, especially the Colonial period.

I am a Christian, and give thanks to God for all of the many blessings He has bestowed upon me in this life.
