Tara from Combustion Glassworks included me in her kickass Etsy.com treasury. Yep, Dashery Jewelry's Dark Cobalt Blue Shell Circle earrings make an appearance in her Barroom Heroes list with some fabulous handmade items in beautiful blues and great greens.

Calypso would go great in this list. A lime green background with a swath of blue dichroic create this stunning art glass pendant from Combustion Glassworks Etsy store.

Hmmm By Mel Bag

This the "Vine and Dandy" Pleated Shoulder Bag I bought last month from Hmmm By Mel. It's fabulous! I've been using it for a few weeks and I'm loving it! When I opened up the package, I was afraid it would be too small, but it holds an amazing amount of stuff. My big wallet and checkbook, retractable kabuki brush, lip balm, phone, keys, biz card case, hot wheel car, and my little silver zipper case (with gum, shout wipes, eye drops, etc) all fit with plenty of room! The style is so pretty with the leaves print and the pleats. And it's so practical with it's zipper top and soft corduroy strap that has just enough texture to keep it on the shoulder. The bag is light weight, too. I forgot I had it on when I was getting my hair cut and got the strap caught on the chair at the shampoo station when I tried to get up! Made me fall right back down in the chair!

I think you can tell a lot about a greeting card artist by the business cards she uses. I love Jennie Rose Designs' handmade business cards. They are simple in a way- just her website, a flower, and a cute stamp. But they are very elegant too- the flourish of the curly-queue stamp, the white flower slightly overlapping the edge, the placement of the web address at the bottom of the card. OK. Maybe I over analyze things, but Jennie Rose’s business cards are just so charming!

My Studio by Dashery Jewelry: Part 1

I've decided to reorganize my studio.

My studio has been a mess ever since I moved into this house last Thanksgiving. First,it became the room where everything I hadn't decided where it belonged lived. Then, all that stuff made it's way to it's new permanent place throughout my house. I got back a studio room but it's a mess. It takes forever to make something when I get inspired because I have to sift through boxes, mumbling to myself "I know I have those _____ beads somewhere..."

These pictures are turning from left to right around the room.

My studio also is where I exercise, so the treadmill has to stay. And I think the furniture is in the best arrangement for the space that I have.

Speaking of cool, check out this beautiful necklace from Amy Lucid Jewelry Designs. I love the blue sodalite combined with the summery chips of mother of pearl and moonstone. A great necklace to wear to a restaurant on the beach or walking along the boardwalk on a hot afternoon.
