Front Room going to Washington

Eron and I heading off to D.C. this weekend to spend some time with Molly & Ed. We had photographed their wedding on October 4th; however we had planned on doing a Day After session on the 5th, but the weather was awful.

So off we go to DC, look for photos from it in the next week.

Also, as a lot of our clients are located out of the state, please don't hesitate to ask about us traveling for engagement sessions and portraits.

So much fun to be around of these two and apart of their wonderful wedding.. The Scottish Rite building was
the perfect spot for this later in Fall wedding.
It may have been cold and windy outside but it was warm and glowing inside.
The ceremony was short and sweet and so neat with theater lighting and stadium seating.

These two are so very sweet and honest. I really enjoyed spending time with them.
I found it to be very special When Nic's father spoke at the reception about birthing calves and farming life. Nic looked scared and yet proud. I heard they had a John Deer green cake at the rehearsal dinner... Nic is now a Middle School teacher and he has worked very hard to keep his now wife's name private from his students.
Laura a nutritional heath "freak" well when her family toasted her they used water: "Always hydrate…"

I really enjoyed being a part of Laura and Nic's day, they are hydrated people with a lot of patience.

Happy Honeymoon, after School is out...

We've known Zach and Kristin for a long time and it was a special treat to be entrusted with the framing of their memories. They were so excited for us to create art for them that I know the images will be appreciated deeply.

The palpable love Zach and Kristin have for each other can't help but affect all who surround them. I don't know if they glow like that at each other every day, but they sure did on their wedding day.

I hadn't been to the Wisconsin Club in a while and it was great to be back. Such a beautiful location to experience and to photograph.

Not that you'll need it, but good luck Zach and Kristin, we wish you all the best.

We went to the very spot Zach and Kristin had their first date and got engaged to make these images for them. It's always nice when the location for an Engagement Session has emotional significance.

It's also a fun change of pace to shoot pictures of friends, to make it into the realm where they find their comfort level together in front of your camera. Zach and Kristin have such a great time together, it wasn't much of a challenge. But it was a lot fun.

Sunday thoughts

Wow have we been busy lately. We have completely done how we print albums, to make sue that they are the best that they can be. We do almost all of our own printing in house. I just don’t believe that anyone will care and prints as well as we do.

I had a great wedding on Friday with Jayme from Beyond Elegant Events. I was so impressed with her great skill at keeping the day rolling so smoothly. Her ability to let the Bride and Groom enjoy the day while keeping everything on time was great. Look for the photos on Friday’s Blog.

Saturday I photographed a fiends wedding, which is always fun to do. The groom told me that the only way to really love your spouse is with unconditional love, truly unconditional. Made me stop and think how often am is my love truly unconditional.

Alright, a little too heavy for a Sunday.

I am itching to see a great movie. Well I am itching more so for some popcorn from the Oriental Theater. I think they must have the best popcorn in the world. Either I am looking for a great movie recommendation.

My favorite Bridal Salon is having an event tomorrow night that I will unfortunately miss; however you all are invited to stop by. Rosemary and Laura are some of the sweetest people that I have ever met. They have been so gracious to have helped my sister-in-law and Calfa find a gown.

We are one day away from Calfa and Tony's wedding. The whole Front Room Family is up north in Baileys Harbor getting ready.

Sometimes, I can write about the couple, but this is one that leaves me pretty speechless. Calfa is like a little sister to me, Tony (T) is Tony. You always laugh and smile when he is around.

In seeing them together, I have noticed that Calfa can lean on him and get support, while T is melted just a little bit by her love. (Or maybe her great baking and ice cream skills.)

Either way, I completely approve of them getting married (I am a little over protective of Calfa, hence she gave me the nickname "Papa Bear") Tony is a great man that loves her dearly. Together they are happy. I couldn't ask for anything more for these two wonderful people.

What can we say about Andy and Yuliya? They accepted us and our families as a part of theirs for the weekend and, throughout, encouraged all of us to have as good a time as any of their other guests.

Heidel House was a fabulous location for just about anything: an anniversary dinner with your wife (as my wife and I got to enjoy); casual drinks with new friends (as Neil and his wife enjoyed); or splashing around in the pool (as everyone enjoyed).

Andy and Yuliya brought many people together to enjoy a weekend away and they got just that. The ceremony on the lawn behind Gray Rock Restaurant overlooking Green Lake brought everything to an emotional crest on a beautiful day. Throughout the afternoon and evening, this family's commitment to, well, family bore itself out. The toasts were tearful and heartfelt and the russian dancing Yuliya and her friends shared was a special moment for everyone, stirring nostalgic, youthful feelings.

The love Andy and Yuliya have for each other is palpable and the warm glow they inspired in each other made photographing them a joy. Thanks for a great weekend.

This was such a fun day to be a part of. I've never seen a groom hug each and every member of the wedding party when they got to the end of the aisle to start the ceremony. There was palpable love in the air, between Tom and Sherry and everyone who came to celebrate with them. It was an absolutely perfect afternoon to spend at Boerner Botanical Gardens and the light fare that Bartolotta's provided was a great accompaniment to the relaxed atmosphere of the reception.

Michelle and Brad have such a glow about them when they're together, it's hard not to take a good picture of them. We had a lovely photo tour of downtown Milwaukee and got a chance to make some really nice images of them and those closest to them in a variety of settings. The guests were treated to a great party in the always elegant Country Springs Hotel and everyone had a great time.

And thank you to Katrina & Adam for the great referral. You might remember them from last August (by the way, Happy Anniversary.)
