Idina Menzel Wants In On 'Glee'

In other Glee news, Idina Menzel is being quite public that she wants on the Glee wagon. And she's getting husband Taye Diggs in on it too. We've yet to meet Rachel Berry's gay dads or her biological mom, which is right where Menzel wants to fit in.

The 38-year-old Tony Award-winning actress/singer says she would be the perfect fit as Rachel's mom. Menzel is even friends with Lea Michele in real life!

In the opinion of this blogger, HOW COULD GLEE PASS UP THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!??

This week on the B4A Top Ten, Lady GaGa has back-to-back hits. Owl City solidifies the top spot, but Jay-Z continues to put up a hard fight to get at the number one spot. The Black Eyed Peas re-enter the Top Ten. Chris Brown's "Forever" jumps back to the Top Ten with all the chatter about his recent interviews. Honorable Mention this week goes to Sting, but we aren't clear why. Thoughts on that??

Open Letter To Alphabet Network

Dear ABC,

I'm conflicted. I love you for your Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, my dear Ugly Betty and that oh so adorable Castle. I wanted to write about what will soon become World News with Diane Sawyer and how George I-can't-spell-his-last-name-without-looking-it-up Stephanopoulos will be co-hosting Good Morning America. However, I feel there is a more pressing issue we need to discuss. Your hatred for Adam Lambert.

So he had an overly sexual performance on the American Music Awards. So what?! You got a whopping 1500 complaints the day after the show. Compared to how many people tuned in, that's NOTHING. There have been worse things on television than a simulated sexual act and a same sex kiss with one party being an androgynous keyboardist.

In exchange, you kick him off Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel and New Year's Rockin' Eve. Seriously? Too bad it's backfiring for you. Adam Lambert is getting more attention with you kicking him off your air than he ever would have gotten by holding those appearances.

So, in the end, thank you ABC! Thank you for banning Adam Lambert. Maybe your next move could be to schedule him for a guest spot on Ugly Betty and then preempt the episode! I know. I'm a genius.

ABC To Bring 'Betty' Back From Edge

After a near death sentence earlier this season, ABC has brought Ugly Betty back from the edge of the cliff. Fans of the show were outraged when the network announced Friday would be the show's new night for the Fall TV season. Then, the network canceled Eastwick opening up a slot after their two-hour comedy block.

Hollywood Reporter reports ABC will move Ugly Betty to 10 p.m. Wednesdays, which would put the show after Modern Family and Cougar Town. The network would not confirm the move, but, if true, this would be an extremely rare instance of a network removing a show from Friday and moving it to a prime position.

Owl City Returns To Touring In January

Last night, Owl City wrapped up their final stop before a much-deserved holiday break with a show in Hawaii. When they return, it's 18 stops beginning with Kansas City, Missouri, on January 21st.

And here's an Owl City fun fact. When in studio, the entire production is one man - Adam Young. However, when he's on the road, he just can't pull it off so he's got a full band to support him.

Ocean Eyes is Owl City's second full-length album and is a follow-up to last year's Maybe I'm Dreaming. Both albums are available on iTunes.

Someone Tell Her She Doesn't Need To Alienate Canadians?

This time it's Canadians feeling the wrath of Sarah Palin. During a stop on her book signing tour, Palin told a Canadian comedian she thinks the country to the north should eliminate their public health care system. Does she really know what she's talking about?

Canada, of any country, seems to have it figured out. They've got a health care plan that Americans can only dream about. In fact, upwards of 95% of Canadian citizens have a favorable opinion of their native health care system.

So when Palin said earlier this week she thinks the public system should be abolished. She - once again - didn't have her facts straight. Here is her exact quote:

Canada needs to reform its health care system and let the private sector take over some of what the government has absorbed.

This is why Sarah Palin will never be elected president in the United States. Ninety-five-percent of Canadians agree with something, but Palin thinks it should be overturned. Palin is too far-right for this country. But then again, I'm speaking of the country that elected George W. Bush. Twice.

Rumors Swirling About Taylor Lautner's Sexuality

Settle down boys, he's only 17! That said, Taylor Lautner is being quite coy about his sexuality. In the new issue of Rolling Stone, he does an effective job of avoiding the question. When asked if he was dating someone, his answer was "possibly." Lautner elaborated and explained he needed someone who was loyal and committed. No one night stands for this teen!

The Rolling Stone reporter then continued the conversation by suggesting Taylor is still "discovering himself." To which he simply replied "OK." The reporter continued to push and Lautner figured out the line of questioning and called it an "interesting choice." Lautner concluded that line of questions by confirming there are "a lot of rumors out there."

So by not answering the question, what does this tell you? This sounds like the kind of answers we got out of other young now-out celebrities. You decide.

It's a holiday weekend and the Top Ten is back with big gains from Jay-Z and Lady GaGa. With Jay-Z hot on his tail, Owl City barely hangs onto the top spot. Our rants on Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are reflected herein with both artists dropping. After the song made an appearance on Glee last week, Bill Withers is in the Top Ten this week. And this week's Honorable Mention goes to Aerosmith after rumors about the band caused airplay to increase this month!

Taylor Swift, The Fraud

While we were off for the Thanksgiving holiday, we came across a post about Taylor Swift's CMA Awards show performance on an entertainment website. First reaction? "TOLD YOU SO!" A couple years ago, Swift performed on America's Got Talent and she was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! She couldn't keep time with the song, was out of tune and - it was a duet with a contestant - wasn't singing at the same pace as the other girl.

Since then, we've been against everything Taylor Swift. There is nothing wrong with having an over-produced record that becomes a hit, but if you can't perform it live, don't even try. This is the same qualm we had about Miley Cyrus! Can't sing? Don't try. Since the AGT performance, we've avoided live Taylor Swift at all costs.

Apparently she was equally as bad during her opening number at the CMAs. Here is the exact quote from entertainment writer Andrea Reiher:

We have nothing against Taylor Swift. Her recorded songs sound good, her songwriting is solid (especially considering her young age) and she seems like a genuinely sweet girl. But her opening number at the Country Music Awards? O. M. G. Is that what she always sounds like live?

The answer to Ms. Reiher's question is an astounding "YES." How the hell does she keep winning these huge awards considering how poorly she performs live? Here. Judge for yourself.
