MS. BOWMAN'S STUDENTS WILL BE DOWN TO READ THEIR PART...

JORDYN:
The Pennies for Peace drive is now over.

Ms. Bowman's classes have cashed in their pennies and the grand total of
$266 will be sent to the Central Asia Institute.

MATEO
The money will help build schools and buy school and health care supplies in
Pakistan and Afghanistan.

We wish to send a thank you to all who donated, including the LMS Builder's
Club for their $75 donation to the cause.

"B" Softball game against Ellsworth

The "B" softball team played their best game of the season Wednesday. The girls were ahead most of the game but, in the last inning Ellsworth had some big hits which brought them to the win. Erica pitched the first 5 innings,striking out 10 girls and Blake pitched the 6th innings striking out 1 player. Mariah caught the entire game. The girls had 2 double plays. Singles were hit by Mariah, Erica, Natalie, and Raynee. Great defensive plays were given by Andrea, Jordyn, Erica and Mariah. Thank you for trying so hard girls!! We are all very proud of you!!

Would youo please announce the Tighers were absolutely awesome on the field
trip to Acadia Discover Shoreline!

The rangers commented that the students were very well behaved and listened
very well. He said our Tigers were a joy to teach and work with.

Way to go, Tigers. Your teachers are very proud of you all!!

PROBLEM: 24 track athletes have not confirmed whether they will be
attending the track gathering tomorrow from 2:45 to 4 in the FCS room.
SOLUTION: See coach Maxim today and let him know your plans.
Uniforms are still due by Friday.

B softball results

The girls' B softball team had a tough loss to Doughty Middle School. Coach
reported the team played extremely well. Blake N. pitched to Natalie the
entire game, striking out 2 players. Andrea had 1 single, Cassidy had 2
singles and Mariah bunted her way on base 4 times. The girls played their
best defensive game of the season! Great job girls.

Yesterday the LMS Lady Coyotes won their game against Doughty of Bangor. The Lady Coyotes went ahead early with a 9-1 lead. Hitting by Kelsey H., Kendra, Tiffany, Jordan, Tori, Kristyn, Susie, Kelsey G. and Karah set the Coyotes up for a win. Doughty had a rally in the 6th to bring them close but LMS played solid in the 7th to take the win. Kelsey H. went out hurt in the game and Lauren M. came in to catch for the rest of the game and did a great job. Congratulations to the girls. Our last home game will be played at the HS on Friday. Please come out and support the team.

B Baseball Results

The B boys lost a tough game at Doughty 11-10. Gabe B. and Ethan G. had two
hits each. Tyler Y. walked all 4 times he came to the plate and played well
at catcher. Eddie G., Josh H., Chris B., Tyler B., each had a hit. Braden
U. had a Double. Nick G. has now reached base safely in all 10 games this
season. The Boys will play their last home game of the season vs.
Ellsworth on Wednesday.

Announcement:

Ms. Bowman's language arts class is wrapping up their Pennies for Peace
drive this week. They would like to thank all who have donated so far. We'd
like your help one last time to fill up the peace sign ONE LAST TIME, which
is now located in the lobby, by this Friday.

One U.S. Dollar is worth more than 80 Pakistani rupees, which means our
money can do a lot of good in Pakistan and Afghanistan. So, please visit the
peace sign one last time and donate any spare change you can.

Calling all track team athletes: the pizza has been ordered, the ice cream
cake made, and the images have been put to music. Now all we need is all of
you to tell Coach Maxim whether you are coming or not, this Thursday from
2:45 to 4 in the FCS room. The $5 can be paid before or after.
Also Friday is the deadline for uniforms to be turned in.

Meghan and Mrs. Callela completed the 2 mile Make A Wish walk last night. With no rain is sight! They ended their fundraising with a whopping $700. Great job Meghan!

Congratulations to all who participated and attended last night's City Jazz Night.
The students did such a wonderful job and Mr. Priest, Mrs. Priest and Ms. Pinsonneault are all very proud of you! No other school could've done as good of a job as you kids did last night!
