Cindy is the CUTEST, sweetest thing ever! I don't know Brian well but from what I can tell he is totally in love with this girl. They were so cute and so much fun. I think Cindy was just ready to get the show on the road!

I Heart Faces

I have not been very good at keeping up with the I heart faces contest. I haven't been very good at taking many pictures. But the theme this week is excited and my mind went quickly to the photo of Tyler riding his new bike.

I am not wild in love with the composition of the photo and it has some lovely blur from movement but I am in love with the excitement that is on his little face. Living with a disability he has out done and beaten so many odds. His Joy in things like a tricycle is more than I could capture on film.

I haven't partcipated lately but it seems when I know I have a lot to do that I WANT to partcipate. I think it is my secret way of HOPING to get out of work.

This week's photo was over exposed so there is only a "few" things you can do with it. Here is a few of my ideas.

My latest photo shoot was with Stephanie and Logan. You might remember them from HERE and HERE. Well he is getting big and before I moved we thought we would sneak in one more. He is CUTE and very happy!

Fix it friday

Fix it Friday is once again upon us. I LOVE playing with photos. I have had a few shoots this week so this was a welcome mix up. Not to mention packing and getting things set up to MOVE! YIKES!

This is the Original. Very good shot and I really liked it how it was.

This is what I decided to do with it. I turned it as a mirror image. Rotated, played with the coloring and just keep doing things till I like how it was.

I used Photoshop CS4 and Picnik.

Thank you to all who have allowed me to take pictures of their families and children. Because we are moving I am not going to be doing many more appointments UNLESS you CALL and make an appointment and you get a follow up email or call. Also if you get them done I cannot guarantee that they will all be done by the time we leave Arizona.

Thanks again. I look forward to taking photos at our new location!

Fix it Friday

Fix it Friday is back. This one was a lot of fun. I decided to try out some texturing and wanted to see what I could get picnik to do on its own. So I used photoshop on only one photos and didn't do many changes. In fact the change was so slight it was not even worth using. So I opened up picnik, pulled a texture and here is my "tries." If you want to know what I did..... Let me know!! IT IS MY SECRET! Just kidding. Picnik is a lot of fun and you can do a lot that I didn't know you could do. I always like looking at others picnik creation for just that things I didn't know you could do.

Here are my fixes:

I really like this one. Not sure about the text but that can be taken off. I worked on the photo first. Lightened it up. To out some of the green. There was a light fleshy colored thing in the back ground so I cloned it out. Saved the photo. You can't "fix" a photo when you are adding a texture or something with it. It needs to be done before you add anything on top or you add the photo on top. JUST A NOTE! After finding a texture pattern I liked using free textures I added it, rotated it and saved it. Pulled back up the photo, faded the texture into it and played around with dodging, burning and texts. Again I am not sure I like the wording on the text that that is all relative. ( Don't know who Edward is.. ASK!)
This one is using the same texture, changing the photo. I am NOT sure what setting I used on the photo but I added some lip color, faded it into his face, added eye stuff and then added some highlights in his hair.

Again same texture, cropped the photo. That was about all I did on that one.

This one was not using a texture. Not sure again what I did but I can try and duplicate it if you need or want to know.

I have been working on getting the Wedding photos I took out. So I have had to dig in deep and learn a few new things in photo shop. It has been interesting to say the least but I am enjoying myself ( a little.) But, I thought I would interrupt my regularly scheduled STUFF and do Fix it Friday.

I would love some feed back for this photos. I will be doing some fixes on it a little later but this is my favorite photos minus a few thins. I love it because they are all looking and smiling. But I feel the mom is a little washed out. I am working on learning shadows and lighting and this was one of the more harsh lights I have done. Overall I got a lot of good shots, a lot of ok with some funky lighting shots and some I hope no one ever sees this shots.

* I like using picnik, picasa and I do have ps7. I am still new and learning PS7 so please leave DETAILED in structions so I can try and do them. I am honestly wanting to learn.

It is in Raw, not sure what the F speed was and Iso was 600. temp outside was 102.. HEHE.. Its hot here

Ok.. Here is a quick. I would spend a little more with it. Because of the harsh ligithing I think I might have to change it to black and white.I was hoping for some colored ones :(

I have had a ton of people ask for photos. I am swamped with editing and practicing etc. I am in LOVE with taking family and kids photos. The wedding was HARD but I have learned a TON.

The harsh lighting of Arizona is something I am still working on. I was so thankful for Drew and Amy to share their family with me. We took some photos at The Retreat. The pictures turned out well because I had amazing models.

Thanks again to all those who have had me take their photos. I love it. I am learning something new every single shoot.

This is just a few of what I have done. There were a lot of candids and fun shots. Its my first wedding. I am definitely glad I had the experience. It was a lot of work and it was hot. I melted. And I got a tan line on my feet but no where else!

This is the original photo for this week. She is very very cute.

This is my second fix. I liked her eyes and wanted to try and bring them out more. This ended up being my first choice.

This is my first fix. I wanted her eyes to pop more so I played a little more and got the other image. I do like the cross process action lately.

My fix. I took out the brown that she was sitting on, cropped it and turned it so her face was closer. Did a fix on her eyes, faded a black and white into a little color, soften the look and added a burn on the edge. .
