Brazil coach Dunga has admitted that Adriano could be in line for a recall to the national team. Speaking in a television interview on Monday, Dunga said "He has evolved, he is improving a lot with Sao Paulo,"

"He had a few problems at the start but he is getting back to being the Adriano that we all know." Dunga said, speaking about Adriano's time at São Paulo.

"Without doubt, if he goes back to being the Adriano that he was before, he will have chances because he is a player with strength, power and he scores goals."

Adriano has featured only once for Brazil under Dunga, in last year's 2-0 friendly defeat by Portugal.

São Paulo will not attempt to extend Adriano's second stint in Brazilian soccer. São Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio has said there is "no possibilty" that Adriano could stay longer than the six months originally agreed between themselves and Inter Milan.

"There is no possibility that Adriano will remain at São Paulo beyond July 18th, the day the agreement he has with us expires" Juvencio said in an interview published in the club's journal.

"The agreement is clear, after six months the player will return to Italy, even if the technical staff would like to have him for the national championship. However, I am sure that he will help us a lot in the Copa Libertadores."

Adriano happy to be scoring again

After his recent personal problems, Adriano has said that he is happy to be talked about for the right reasons after his goals helped São Paulo beat Chilean side Audax Italiano 2-1 in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.

"There has been a lot of talk about me recently," Adriano said after Wednesday's match. "And the only way this will go away is if I start scoring goals again. That's how it is for strikers. I need to keep doing what I did."

Adriano has made several headlines since joining São Paulo, but primarly because of his behavior off the field. Last week, he was fined by São Paulo after arriving late for training and then leaving early without permission.

The night before, a Porsche registered to him was involved in an accident, and although Adriano was not in the car, two women passengers were injured and treated at a local hospital, according to local media.

"I don't deny I made mistakes," Adriano said. "I need to thank my teammates who supported me in this difficult moment. That's why I made sure I celebrated the goals with all of them."

"Everyone goes through difficult times," he said. "And I know (this phase) likely won't go away just because of the two goals, but hopefully it won't last too long if I keep scoring."
