I haven't posted about Brayden in a little while and I feel like I need to document the stages that he is going through because he is changing and growing up so fast. We had a great 4th! Lots of yummy food, friends and family, games, fireworks, and great weather. The 4th is one of my favorite holidays. We started off at our neighborhood breakfast and parade. We went to the free day at This is the Place Heritage park with Kelli and Kaylan today. It was a lot of fun and we missed most of the bad weather too. The pony ride and petting zoo were the biggest hit and the ice cream cones too. My camera battery was dead but Kelli was nice enough to email me a few she got.

I haven't posted about sewing in a while but I have still been enjoying working on some different projects. I made some baby blankets for my new niece and nephew and have made several different bags to experiment with. If you have any great sewing project ideas feel free to share.

We had a great trip over Memorial Day weekend down to California to visit with Eric's family and hang out at the beach. Today we planted our garden. We already had the boxes in our backyard so it made for a nice little garden corner. I am excited and hope that we actually get some veggies from it. Brayden's latest discovery was climbing onto the kitchen table. I came into the dining room and found this. I was gone last night and Eric was watching Brayden. They were eating dinner (spaghetti with ketchup) and Eric said that Brayden wanted some ketchup and this is what happened. I think that Brayden likes PB cookies. I let him sit on the counter to watch sometimes when I cook but he found the spatula all on his own and I didn't have the heart to take it away from him until he'd at least had a good taste!

I finally gave in and let Brayden get his hair cut. I wasn't quite ready for him to lose that baby look but it was getting a little long. Eric's mom made Eric a superman cape when he was little that he wore everywhere. When they were here this weekend she brought the original superman cape and she had also made a new one.
