Kia Sorento 2010 change

In July last year I brought some pictures of the new Kia Sorento, which had been caught without protection in one of the factories in Korea. 9 months later and after numerous rounds of spy photos, Kia releases official photos of its new Sorento, an SUV with a much more robust than the current one and convenient aesthetics.
The appearance differs little from those first seen in spy photos. In the production version of the hollow fog is separated from the plastic bumpers. The front, overall, it seems quite recent prototypes and models presented as the Kia Forte.
The rear of the Kia Sorento has a fairly linear design and overloaded, with large headlamps independent side of the car and party down the middle. The leap in quality is noticeable in the interior: the design is pleasing to the eye and is generally very well done.
From time Kia has not released more information than these pictures, because in the past few weeks have been filtered several photos and it seems they have decided to advance the presentation.

Porsche Might Launch A Model Compact In 2012

The Auto Bild magazine launches rumor that Porsche might be designing a model compact for the market launch in about the year 2012, this model would have many features in common with WW Golf since used his platform.

This model is designed to compete in the high-end compact with other cars such as Audi A3, BMW 1 Series, Volvo C30, etc.. Apparently this segment is highly profitable and Porsche does not want missed an opportunity, as we did with the Cayenne with good results.

Although the design of the original concept didn't get favorable reviews, it appears as though Acura has stuck with similar styling for the production car. The last time we saw an American entrepreneur stuffing a powerful American-built engine into an unsuspecting British sports car, it was the 1960s and it was Carroll Shelby. The meek AC Ace roadster was, shall we say, invigorated by his fitment of the Ford V8 into its lightweight body shell.

Fast-forward nearly a half-century. Secant Vehicles, a small start-up headquartered in San Francisco, has developed a GM Ecotec engine conversion for every Lotus Elise (or Exige) built since the waspish midengine sports car's 2005 introduction.

The players are different, but the three-step formula for the Lotus Exige by Secant is the same as Shelby's:

Step 1 — Find a small car.
Step 2 — Add power.
Step 3 — Kick ass.

So has history been repeated? We drove Secant's development car, a 2006 Lotus Exige equipped with the optional Track Pack suspension, to find out.

Enough of rumors, spy photos and recreations, Ford finally gives us official photos of what will be the future Ford Focus RS. The only word that describes is impressive, it seems that the rumors were true vocation of a car with breakthrough, beast we expected.

The images were taken later in the mythical Nurbungring circuit, and although the car is slightly camouflaged shows good form, such as front air intake very well integrated into the front bumper, sports and other details that we can observe.

The engine will be known as the Duratec 2.5 but with minor tinkering that will enable it to overcome the power of 280 hp, in addition to grant around 400 nm torques.

The power will be transmitted to the asphalt in front traction, it can do but shake many as the director of Team RS there will be no problems slipping through a control device that will limit the slide, besides having an improved chassis for possessing the largest stability as possible, along with a performance step bend unbeatable.

This model will be presented at the salon in London in late July, to reach our market in early 2009.

Since big SUVs are so last year, the time has come for Mercedes-Benz to introduce a small SUV. We caught this footage of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK in Death Valley, California, recently and it is indeed smaller than any other Mercedes SUV currently available.

Built on the same chassis as the compact C-Class sedan, the GLK350 (as it's expected to be called), will have a wheelbase and overall length similar to its sedan counterpart. This should put the GLK right in line with other entry-level luxury sport-utilities like the BMW X3 and Land Rover LR2...
