I just arrived back from Darfur last Thursday as a photo journalist and lived in the Independent Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. (N.B. they are not refugees, as they have not crossed into other peoples countries - they actually have less rights then refugees.) It is not 3rd World, it is 4th World. The people I met, stories that were told and images I took are more powerful, then my usual career of shooting 60ft waves of Tow In surfing or 10,000 foot peaks extreme skiing in Alaska.
