Since I started my business, I have been working most days of every month. I have only recently had a few days off, due to my Sis getting a car, and being able to help me out. <br />I think that maybe we place too much importance on 'being a busy person', as though it is a status symbol. Perhaps it ought to be the other way around, and people who say they are busy should be treated as if they are fools for wasting their lives.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-5988738361375588513?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-6278504752877265932009-07-14T06:20:00.000-03:002009-07-14T17:26:05.931-03:00Cheap Shoes, or Good Shoes?I have always tended to buy the cheapest things that I can, whereas my Sis, being more fashion conscious, tends to go for the better but more expensive brands. I have to admit though, it is great to put on a high quality pair of shoes, and feel the comfort. I suspect that they might last longer, as well, especially if I have a good wardrobe full of them. <br />I checked out some <a href="http://www.shoe-store.net/c/brands/id/118/-x-/dansko.html">Dansko womens shoes</a> the other day, and was delighted. The prices seem good too, not super-cheap, but I don't think I can match the quality for the money I will be spending on them.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-627850475287726593?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-11253001789506451142009-07-12T17:13:00.000-03:002009-07-14T17:19:20.175-03:00Orlando - Saves Your Vacation Bucks! If you happen to live in the eastern side of the continent, then it makes sense to save some money this year on your vacation. No need to take expensive plane trips, just drive a bit, and end up in Orlando, where you can do 'the Disney thing' as a friend of mine calls it, or even check out Universal Studios, or of course Seaworld. Stress free <a href="http://www.orlandothemeparkvacations.com/">Orlando vacations</a> are possible because of the great packages available, with no risk of your dollar reducing in value against the local currency, like has happened with other locations.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-1125300178950645114?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-86367018268029053212009-07-03T18:05:00.003-03:002009-07-03T18:15:28.758-03:00Kettlebells - Musical Instrument? - NO!When I first heard the name 'kettlebells', I imagined a thing that looks like a kettle, that you hit with a stick so that it rings like a bell. I was imagining what ancient society might have used such a thing, and for what kind of ritual? Well, it turns out that <a href="http://www.kettleworx.com/">Kettlebells</a>, with a capital 'K', are a form of small barbells, and the Kettleworx make of these come with DVD's that are instructional in the uses of this unique exercise product. A great part of losing weight by increasing exercise, and this is without it being required to stand outside in the cold. Handy to store, and proof that you don't need a big complicated exercise machine to get into good shape.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-8636701826802905321?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-18566671259944905592009-06-14T01:06:00.002-03:002009-06-14T01:10:09.666-03:00My workload eases!I have now got some help with my work. I have only had one day off since February, as I have been building up my business. <br />So, it will be great during the next little while to get some planned time off. One of the ways I will be doing this is by allowing my sister to take over for some days, as she can now drive, and has her own car, a 1998 Mercury. It just needs the paperwork done to take over ownership, and get the insurance arranged.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-1856667125994490559?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-1191006241701748252009-06-14T00:55:00.002-03:002009-06-14T01:04:45.495-03:00The Diet Pill Institute.Dieting with the assistance of pills is a great easy way to lose a few pounds, or even more. As with everything that allows or causes weight loss, you are probably better taking it slower, and I have heard that by doing this, it is easier to maintain the new weight that you have managed to achieve. You can check out one product as compared to others by the Diet Pill Institute, and certainly they seem to think favorably of phenphedrine in their <a href="http://dietpillinstitute.com/reviews/phenphedrine/">phenphedrine review</a> at their website.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-119100624170174825?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-50985948671735621462009-06-13T00:48:00.000-03:002009-06-14T00:55:07.042-03:00Burning Fat Reduces WeightAs I have mentioned before there are different ways that dieting aids work. Some work by satisfying hunger, making the body believe that it has just eaten, and others work by actually burning the fat away. You can find out more about this by reading some <a href="http://fat-burners.sybervision.com/">fat burner reviews</a> that are available online. The great thing about websites that review things is that you get more than one opinion.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-5098594867173562146?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-29712060160093068512009-06-12T00:40:00.000-03:002009-06-14T00:47:16.834-03:00Maintaining Body WeightDieting can be a difficult thing to do, and then also to keep up with, that is, to maintain the weight you have achieved. I guess it is all about food, the quality of it, as well as the quality of it. There is a trend these days towards processed food as a main part of the diet, and many reports are talking of it being one of the stumbling blocks in maintaining a good body weight. There is a way to achieve better weight control, and that is by selecting the best <a href="http://www.dietpill.net/">diet pill</a> to suit your own metabolism.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-2971206016009306851?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-20243854253447698852009-05-31T20:31:00.002-03:002009-05-31T20:43:37.955-03:00It's about time<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kkVBKSfZHRM/SiMTkntL9_I/AAAAAAAABhk/nUx3au0em2k/s1600-h/353.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kkVBKSfZHRM/SiMTkntL9_I/AAAAAAAABhk/nUx3au0em2k/s400/353.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342135102846269426" border="0" /></a>Here he is! The first time I got my son to take the lawn mower was a bit of a push. He thought that it would be a really boring chore and that would take him out of watching tv or playing in his computer. Well, he got that right! lol....but once he got going, he thought it was fun, especially when he found out he would be able to make some money out of it by mowing neighbours' lawn in the future!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-2024385425344769885?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-81034419527334793842009-05-31T17:37:00.001-03:002009-05-31T19:48:26.534-03:00Looking Good In A TuxI am sure that many of us have seen guys at weddings or other formal functions, wearing an ill-fitting <a href="http://www.formaltux.com/">tuxedo</a> that they have no doubt rented for the occasion. When you think about it, it actually takes away the whole point of the formality. Such situations occur when the wearer is not a usual function attendee, and has maybe been forced to wear what he is actually uncomfortable in, and certainly would not normally buy.<br />But, actually, it does make sense to purchase a tux rather than rent and look a bit silly!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-8103441952733479384?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-7772875004581371042009-05-31T07:34:00.001-03:002009-05-31T19:47:29.123-03:00Good Season For Cruises! One of the great things about the economy right now is that fuel has gotten slightly cheaper. This in turn has made for some great deals in travel, including for <br /><a href="http://www.cruisecheap.com">cruises</a>, as well as for air travel. And with <br />summer here, we can look not only at cruising to regular sunshine type places, but also adventure cruises to see glaciers and things like that.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-777287500458137104?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-13415850879638749602009-05-22T20:09:00.002-03:002009-05-22T20:14:22.778-03:00A Week To Go!I have only had one day off in over 3 months. That was last Monday, when I snuck a day off by rescheduling my work. But after the end of this month, I am giving up on the weekend work for a bit, and getting my other jobs in order so I can work easier hours and have some family time. The few jobs that remain that require weekend work can be covered by me employing someone, as the gas savings alone in not driving the 120 miles round trip can be better used for wages for someone. Something to look forward to.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-1341585087963874960?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-11347839809739575142009-05-22T20:03:00.003-03:002009-05-22T20:08:58.962-03:00Consumer GoodsNever mind bidding online for items that are for sale, you can actually get away from that insanity by going to buy.com and seeing the goods they have there at great prices. Consumer goods have never been cheaper than right now, with many dealers overstocked, not because the economy is bad and people can't afford things, but more often because everyone is a bit wary about their income sources these days. Whether it is a <a href="http://www.buy.com/specialty_store_6/tv-deals/63190.html">HDTV</a> or a DVR, the deals are great. The thing is, as the economy picks back up, so will the prices, so now might be the time to do some really good buying that will save a lot in the long run.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-1134783980973957514?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-55810661837824333672009-05-22T19:56:00.002-03:002009-05-22T20:02:40.304-03:00RV VacationsNow that things are a bit tighter as far as the economy goes, it really makes sense to pull in the purse strings so to speak, and save some money by doing things that you might not have experienced before. An opportunity? Yes. We all tend to get into a rut as far as our vacation habits go. Right now, my rut is that I haven't been able to have a vacation for a couple of years! But seriously, if you normally fly away to exotic places, you are missing out on the delights of America. You can even rent a small RV, and then do a tour of <a href="http://www.goodsamclub.com/travel/campgroundsandrvparks/Default.aspx">rv parks</a> throughout the USA. Just think outside the box, it is, after all, summer, so you don't need to fly to Mexico or the Caribbean to seek out some rays.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-5581066183782433367?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-38115248182439270942009-05-22T19:21:00.002-03:002009-05-22T19:55:28.377-03:00Mesothelioma InformationIn times past, we have done things without knowing the risks. Smoking is a great example of this - it only became a problem as people got older, and started to be more prone to contracting cancer due to smoking. It was really because of World War 2 that a revolution took place socially, and women went to work, and smoked as they did so, and then paid the price 20 or more years later.<br />The same thing happened with asbestos. It was used for roofing, siding, industrial buildings, insulation, and as a fiber that binds together other products, such as crack filler for plaster house walls. We now know of course that asbestos was a major cause of <a href="http://www.mesotheliomahelp.net/about-mesothelioma.html">Mesothelioma cancer</a>. And it was actually the responsibility of the employers to ensure the safety of their workers, instead of blindly using whatever products were suitable to increase profits by speeding up the job. <br />So, if you know of anyone who has Mesothelioma then they might be able to get help in dealing with aspects of it.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-3811524818243927094?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-31676438749006524902009-05-22T19:17:00.002-03:002009-05-22T19:21:41.718-03:00Why Does My Hubby Buy Junk? Here we go again. I get a decent vehicle, but he buys junk that he then spends time working on. I can't stop him doing it, he says that it is a hobby for him, but in fact it just creates stress, and is one more worry in life. His latest gem is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. No, not a 2001 like I had up until last year, but the model before, and with known 'issues'. Like a transmission noise. Like it can't be driven in town until he changes a sensor. I can't understand him, he is retired, and then makes work that he hates. Oh, well, at least I am now OK, no work needed, just make the van payments.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-3167643874900652490?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-44410022724276240512009-05-13T20:02:00.000-03:002009-05-15T20:08:42.705-03:00Vegas - The Year-Round Destination. There are some things that I have always wanted to do, and places I have wanted to see, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I have no idea if I will even get there, as I always seem to be too busy, which although fashionable, is actually crazy and a bit stupid of me really, because life slips away too fast. A more local seeming place to visit is to look at what is offered in the way of <a href="http://www.vegasvacationstore.com/">Vegas vacations</a>. It looks like a fascinating place, especially at night. Also, there are replicas of many European city landmarks, I believe that they even have a somewhat smaller Eiffel Tower. Two birds with one stone? Maybe.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-4441002272427624051?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-8489574702110780912009-05-01T21:19:00.002-03:002009-05-01T21:25:03.587-03:00Van Warning Light Was No ProblemIt turns out that the light that came on was not a critical one.<br />It sets up a code in the engine computer, and this can be later downloaded and referenced in a manual to see what is wrong. <br />So, it turns out that it is a thing on the engine that just sets up the engine differently for when cruising along, or when accelerating. <br />Isn't it wonderful to have a Hubby who understands these things? Of maybe he just pretends to understand.<br />No, I think he must actually really understand, as we only spend about a few hundred dollars each year maintaining vehicles, and that includes oil changes.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-848957470211078091?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-6453959265385212432009-05-01T09:12:00.000-03:002009-05-01T21:19:11.879-03:00Weight Loss SupplementsWe are all, as a society, tending to be overweight, mostly due to poor eating habits, as well as poor food choices being available. The situation is actually, when you look at it, a little unnatural, as, if we were having to gather our own food, I am sure that we would not be finding sugary donuts growing on trees, nor would we find hamburgers grazing in the fields. The obvious way to prevent this type of unnatural diet from affecting your health and weight is by going back to healthy foods, and in amounts that would be more typical of what you might have if finding it yourself. But, obviously, this is totally impractical in the rush that we are all in these days. So, a good <a href="http://www.consumerpricewatch.net/">weight loss supplement</a> might be the way to go.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-645395926538521243?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-27860294107285290842009-04-23T15:57:00.003-03:002009-04-23T16:02:49.223-03:00My New Van Has A Warning Light!I have no idea why, but I was driving along, and suddenly the 'check engine' light came on.<br />I phoned hubby, and he asked me to check over a few things, and said it might just be a sensor, because I had driven a few miles with the light on, and if it was serious, like an oil problem, then he says that the engine would be destroyed by now.<br />I must remember that. When the light comes on next time, I will be sure not to just carry on driving, as it is possible that sometimes it is something really wrong that will cause damage.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-2786029410728529084?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-61062874626881894572009-04-23T15:49:00.003-03:002009-04-23T15:56:35.047-03:00Add Computer Memory, Make Do With Your Computer For a While LongerSaving money on the occasional purchases just got a little easier. I mean, things like furniture, TV's, computers, all need replacing at some time or another, in my case normally after the old one breaks down, or gets so bad looking that I have to go for a new one. In the case of our computer, we have one that is likely to be, I guess, more than 5 years old, but it seems to keep working quite well, although I noticed that we have to press the reset button every time we start it up. Anyway, once started, it runs fine, and Hubby does anti-virus scans etc, so we know it is fairly clear of spyware and stuff that might make it run slowly. So, I think it might just run a bit slower when opening webpages because the webpages have gotten more complex. So, Hubby intends to try adding some more <a href="http://www.buy.com/cat/memory-components-gb-ddr-mhz-pin-sli-ready-crucial-corsair-ocz/61958.html">computer memory</a> and keep the old girl running a bit longer, the computer that is, not me!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-6106287462688189457?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-53373241740638149722009-04-22T00:51:00.002-03:002009-04-23T00:56:23.513-03:00Reliable Diet PillIf you have ever compared diet pills, then you will know that they work using different methods, some by burning fat, etc etc. But there are also some that are not really what they claim, as they consist of large amounts of things like sugar, or other inert products. Packing, is what I call it. Makes it look like a medication type pill, but it turns out to have minor effect.<br />Not so with <a href="http://www.nuphedra.net/">nuphedra</a>, by all accounts. You get exactly what they claim you get, a good diet pill.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-5337324174063814972?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-37429279278028245552009-04-20T23:03:00.004-03:002009-04-23T08:29:22.163-03:00where is the best place?I can't help but wonder...where is the best place to retire, or for that matter, to die?<br /><br />I always thought that being here in Canada where access to medical benefits and various knowledge about any medical condition is beneficial. I have changed my opinion on this after an old lady i knew from few years ago had a stroke back home. They have a little to no knowledge about the condition and left her in her bed for 2 days before getting her to the hospital. She now have a big percentage of her brain damaged and the doctor advised the family to get her home and let nature take its course. Her family is now always beside her, taking care of her. Some visit her from as far as the other side of the world just to make her feel happy.<br /><br />My dad on the other hand, who also suffered a stroke is well taking care off. So well that we are not happy when he will not do anything. So now, regardless of his age, he is working part time just to get him going. I often see him stares at the wall. I know a lot of stuff runs in his mind.Who can blame him? he just had a life-threatening episode.<br /><br />So now I wonder, will my dad be happier back home surrounded with friends and family who will be there to cheer him up and make sure that it will be as comfortable as possible for him? or is he happier here, with all the medicines but feeling alone all the time?<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-3742927927802824555?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-73951338344386304942009-04-18T05:08:00.000-03:002009-04-20T05:26:34.835-03:00Las VegasThere are not many places that are really geared up for a great time over, say, a weekend, or maybe a week, but <a href="http://www.i4vegas.com/">Las Vegas hotels</a> offer such a service. The saying goes, from the ads on TV, 'What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas', and I suppose that reflects the differences between Las Vegas and other getaway destinations. Perhaps the reason for this is that the State laws in Las Vegas are so different, and some say permissive, than those of other States.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-7395133834438630494?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38641025.post-57978666506888134082009-04-06T21:00:00.002-03:002009-04-06T21:07:49.172-03:00Comparing Diet PillsOne of the great things about the internet is that it has a quick response time to new news. Another thing is the ability to obtain information quickly about whatever subject you wish. There is generally some information about just about anything. Also, you can use forums to ask others about things, and to swap ideas, and compare products. Of course you have to be careful to use your own judgment in the end before making decisions. One way to gather information even faster and with less hassle is to find websites that do comparisons of various similar products such as <a href="http://www.pricesexposed.net/">diet pills</a>, where by looking at one location, you can get the various brands compared, not only for price, but also for various aspects of quality.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38641025-5797866650688813408?l=fromhereandbeyond.com'/></div>Arlenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06567782642295222589noreply@blogger.com0
