This has been pretty high-profile, but I thought I'd post it too, just in case.

Figaro and Piccolo are both fine - we feed our cats Wellness, which happily isn't on the list at all. I'm going to e-mail Mom & Dad, since they don't read this blog.

I'm assuming this contamination is accidental, but you're right, it's very sad.

yes, I'm glad we saw a news story with the Web Site to look up the way-too-many affected labels.

We even had a momentary scare seeing that Tony LaRussa's ARF label among the list -- thankfully none of the flavors were among those Sue purchased. Hope your furchildren and that cute kitten your parents got are all OK -- never did hear about the name decision.

UC Davis veterinary hospital saw a handful of cases as did some veterinary hospitals in the Bay Area. With her experience in (human) food production plants and looking at the production window -- Sue fears there are going to be hundreds of cases of poisoned pets.

If the reports are true that officials have traced the rat poison source back to wheat flour from China, then we're lucky this wheat flour wasn't used in human consumables ...

It's all so very sad ... prayers go out to those pet owners.

Goodness, thanks for this. A couple of the brands that we buy for our newly-found stray were on the recall list.
