It had to.
Like any good book, there has to be an ending. --Okay, maybe the Good part is an exaggeration. We will just call it a story.
I am leaving my position as Event Coordinator with Olsson's. I will wait here a few seconds while you pick your collective jaws up off of the ground. . . You ready? Okay.

I had to go back to Idaho for a funeral and was traveling or sitting with family most days. There was enough time to check mail and to keep tabs on the day to day stuff, but blogging didn't make the cut. Sorry.
Well everyone, I have some news.

This has been a busy week for me. I have been out working events every day and every night. So I am sorry if this is late.
Let’s see, what is coming up this week that is fun and exciting . . .

I was serious when I said I was putting together a book club an so far I have had two people jump on to my booky bandwagon. I totally stole the idea from Eric Nuzum (author of The Dead Travel Fast) when I heard him on the radio a while back. Brussels was wonderful. Cold, but lovely. I did my best to stay warm by swilling cup after cup of gluwhine (if you order it "avec rhum", it does twice the warming duty) and stopping in to a shop every half mile or so. I rode a Ferris wheel, watched people ice skating, bought some goodies from the stalls and tried to soak in a little Christmas spirit. Today is Monday Dec 10th. I am typing my blog from the comforts of my apartment. I am writing this so far in advance because I will be out of the country (I know, again) on Thursday. This time, I am headed to Brussels for few days of Christmas Markets, Chocolate and Beers. I will fill you in when I get back.

It was a small question about luxury."Is it still luxurious if you got it on sale?"
I found this question wonderful!
Is it? Is that cashmere sweater you purchased at the end of last season at the Gap for $78 as luxurious as the one Bob sports from Lucien Pellat-Finet for $2,000? I enjoy the concept of a metro/subway system but the one we have here in DC drives me nuts sometimes. Because of the Holiday next week, we are event free. I didn't want anything getting in the way of you and your plans to eat 15 pounds of Turkey. Well, A solution. As you all know, I drive to work. I drive to work everyday. I am one of the bad people who consumes fossil fuel and drives to work. Granted I drive a Nissan Versa (The Cure for Auto-Claustrophobia) that gets 30 miles to the gallon, but I still drive. I have discovered a new route to work that shaves time off my commute and is a much more attractive drive to boot. The only drawback of this route Tony Ritchiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08564327635206365503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37562989.post-75902225291945917102007-10-29T21:23:00.000-04:002007-11-01T10:17:25.477-04:00No Reservations for Rhett Butler's Peeps.Good News!

He is shuffling around the condo with the aid of a walker--No giggles, please--and feeling a little better every day. Thanks to everyone who wrote in to wish him well.
