Plastic Veneered Curtain Poles

There is a range of curtain poles which are plastic veneered. This range of curtain poles are available in our made to measure section and are available in a variety of sizes and finishes.

There is a 23mm diameter option which is hand operated and can be bent making it ideal for bay windows. These are supplies with facefix brackets as standard and are colour coordinated with the pole and come complete with a matching bracket cover. The colour choices are white, chrome effect, silver, black and gunmetal. There is a choice of finial available and also the midial option which is a decorative embelishement normally placed 10cm from the end of the pole. These are particularily used where finials cannot be used.

The 30mm curtain pole and be supplied either corded or hand operated. These can also be bent to fit bay windows and all accessories are colour coordinated. The colours available are Chrome Effect, Classic Gold, Gunmetal, Silver, White, Black and Diva Gold. There is also a wood effect look in Beech, Teak, Honey Maple, Mahogany, Cherry Wood and Wenge. All accessories match the colour of the poles with the exception of the wood effect poles. These have brackets/covers which match the base colour of the wood effect as standard. However, you may wish to contrast as an option, eg Chrome effect end cap with wood effect. There is also the option of either using finials or midials.

The 50mm option can also be hand drawn or cord operated and is available in White, Silver, Diva Gold, Honey Maple, Mahogany and Black. These are suitable for heavyweight curtains with a variety of coordinated finials to match.

There is another range which is flat and available in Anodised Silver, Gunmetal, Black and Chrome Effect. This can be forward and reverse bent to virtually any shape.

Curtain Accessories

Most of our products are sold in complete packs which are supplied with all the necessary components to enable the curtain pole or track to be fixed. Fitting instructions are also included. However, depending on the type of curtains and their weight, there may be a requirement for additional curtain accessories such as extra packs of rings and/or brackets for added support.

Some of our products are only sold in component form, therefore you need to purchase the curtain pole/track, brackets, rings and finials separately. Each component is an accessory which allows the option of purchasing however many brackets or rings etc are required.

Another type of accessory are the tiebacks or holdbacks. Holdbacks are a metal/wood accessory which allows the curtains to be held back neatly either draped or tucked over the holdback. These are available to match most of the ranges allowing an elegant finish to any room. Some holdbacks are universal allowing them to be used with a variety of ranges with the matching finish.

Tiebacks are different to Holdbacks as they are material as opposed to the wooden or metal finish of the Holdbacks. There is a large variety of styles and colours available and some are designed to co-ordinate wooden poles.

Draw rods are another useful accessory. These are used to open and close exceptionally long curtains which are hard to draw manually. The draw rods are available in either a wooden or plastic finish. They vary in length from approx 50cm to 125cm long. The wooden type are available in Walnut, Natural and Teak. The Plastic version are available in white plastic or clear plastic.

Metal Curtain Poles

Metal Curtain Poles are available in many finishes to suit your home. The choice is so varied that you are guaranteed to find a pole suitable to complement your décor. We can also arrange to send sample rings to ensure that the correct shade is being ordered.

The diameter of metal curtain poles varies from 19mm -25mm for lightweight curtains, 28mm-35mm for medium weight curtains and for heavyweight curtains we recommend a diameter of 40mm or 50mm. The majority of the metal poles are sold in 1 length up to 180cm and 240cm and over are sold in 2 lengths with a joining piece and centre bracket for support. Although some ranges are available in 1 piece up to 240cm enabling a total coverage of 480cm. We also offer a cut to length service at no extra charge on certain ranges. These can be supplied complete with finials, brackets and rings but can also be ordered without rings for use with eyelet, tie-top and tab-top curtains.

There are a various finishes available from Stainless Steel, Antique Brass, Chrome, Brushed Silver, Burnished Brass, Black, Black Nickel, Bronze and Copper. There is also a mix and match section whereby you choose the curtain pole, brackets, rings and finials separately, the choice is outstanding.

There are metal curtain poles available to suit most bay windows and these can also be created via the mix and match range using passing brackets and ‘c’ rings. There is also the double layering option available in Burnished Brass, Satin Silver, Black Nickel and Brushed Silver which is used for added privacy and style.

Midial Curtain poles are another options with a range of contemporary midial designs to decorate brackets supplied with square cut rings, lined with nylon for smooth gliding.

Metal curtain poles can also be corded and are also available in an extendable version with various finishes.

Curtain Rails

Curtain Rails are very practical and with their function, you should easily find a curtain rail to suit your needs. Although not as pretty as a curtain pole, curtain rails are more versatile. They are easily cut down to size using a junior hacksaw although this is not recommended with curtain rails containing draw strings. If you do not own a junior hacksaw these can be purchased from a local iron mongers for a small cost.

The curtain rail is available in many colours ranging from White, Gold, Silver and Antique Brass to co-ordinate with any of the colour schemes in your home. They are available in a variety of diameters which enables you to accommodate the weight of your curtains. Smaller diameters are for lightweight curtains up to 6.5kg, medium diameters are for light to medium weight curtains up to 11kg and the larger diameters are suitable for medium to heavy weight curtains of 11kg and over.

Curtain Rails can also be corded, which is particularly helpful if you have high ceilings and windows. They can be corded on either the right hand side or the left hand side, depending on preference. Although as stated previously, it is important that the correct length is chosen as it is not advisable to trim these to size once they have been corded.

The Curtain Rail is also an ideal solution to Bay Windows. They are easily bent to shape by hand and are suitable for most bay windows. They can also be reverse bent to allow the curtains to return into the living room. Curtain Rails can be wall or ceiling fixed hence their durable nature.

Curtain Tracks

Curtain Tracks are the more economical solution to dressing your windows if you are working to a tight budget. They are flexible and adaptable and there is a huge range to choose from.

Curtain Tracks are suitable for straight windows and also bay windows. All tracks are supplied in a shrink wrapped pack including all fittings and full instructions. They are normally supplied with gliders although additional accessories are available. Tracks can also be forward and reverse bent, depending on the range, and can be corded from either end. This is beneficial for extra heavy curtains or where one curtain is wider than the other.

There are standard PVC curtain tracks available where you have the option of having these corded or uncorded. The sizes vary depending on whether they are for general purpose, ie light to medium weight curtains, heavy duty or flexible for fitting into awkward locations, for example bay windows. The PVC range offer these for use as a valance track which is a two track system in one pack.

Aluminium Curtain Tracks are also an option. Most are siliconised for smooth silent movement with easy to use leverlock brackets. These can also either be wall or ceiling fixed and can be bent to fit into bay windows. Extendable corded and uncorded tracks are an option for awkward size windows allowing these to be fitted without being trimmed to size manually.

Made to Measure curtain tracks are available to customers with awkward window dimensions. The customer is asked to complete a form confirming accurate measurements and a quote is provided normally within 2 working days. On receipt of the order, the delivery takes approximately 5 working days extra compared to standard orders as these are specially made as per the customer’s specifications. All Made to Measure items are excluded from the money back guarantee therefore it is important that the measurements are accurate.
