Mushamaru SD gundam

Today i went to my Garage and dug up my Gundam models. I left my HG scale gundams in the garage, cuz they are like garbage.. XD, all i was able to bring out was my 3 SD Mushamaru Gundam Series.

So i was interested in how the differences are between the Inked version of the gundams VS the uninked version... so here are the comparison pictures that i took.

The first two are shots of the gundam before it was inked (lol if you notice, the right arm has already been ink, i totally forgot about this before and after thing until i finished it..XD)

the cool thing was, i used my Copic marker to do the Black and red coloring for some of the parts. I also used the Sakura Pigment pens to do the lines, it turned out pretty sweet, :D

NEXT UP IS prolly the other SD gundams i have, that is... until i get myself a MG Blue frame or Gold Frame Amatsu.

Clean up and Change up day..

So today, after i came back from the Japanese book sale... i was debating on what to do for the rest of the day... so I ended up Cleaning and Changing up my room.

So i had to take out all the manga from my book shelf to move it, so heres the pile of manga thats on my Bookshelf

I got rid of my bed, and now i sleep on the floor with a futon. (futon FTW)

I pretty much re-arranged my table to give me more wall space.

I moved my Manga shelf in front of my desk, so i can have a wall to post pictures onto.

so yeah it was a pretty nice cleaning and changing.

On another fun note...

I opened my Touhou can drinks that i bought in Japan.. lol man they were gross to drink.. except for the grape flavor and the Tea...kinda, the rest was not good...

Onozuka Komachi WIP

FINALLY FINISHED....

Sculpey fun

So yeah went to the art store and bought myself some sculpey clay to make some sculpture. Its tough stuff, but surely is fun.

So i bought the beige sculpey cuz then i could color it, it was fairly cheap about $1 for a pack.

(forming out what i wanted to make, in this case, im working on making Tewi Inaba from Touhou)

(There we go... finally got some stuff finished... now its lookin more like Tewi)

(and this is the result after baking for about 40 min.)
(unfortunately while i was baking it, the foot kinda bent, so now it wont stand straight...lol but with a little support, it stands up straight. :D so all is well.. lessons learned)

(since the head isn't attached, i could move it around, so that's cool lol)

(and to compare size, thats my komachi and Shikieiki figures, looking up to tewi's greatness)

So the next step for me is to sand it, smooth it out and then finally the painting. Hopefully i can get it done by this week, but i have a exam and quiz...so i gotta study...ugh, why does school take away all the fun...

Been a While...

Yeah its been like what... about 4 month of no updates... XDD

anyhow yeah i'll just jot down whats been happening to my life so far that i feel like mentioning.

First off, during summer break I went on an Epic Journey to Japan. That was really an experience. I was able to buy TONS of touhou goods. XD

So Fall Quarter started, this quarter is gonna be so hard... I have Logics, Geography and Sculpture II. Logics going to be pretty hard, gonna need to use my brain alot for this... and Geography is basically just memorizing a bunch of places so its kinda hard and boring. Sculpture II is going to be the one class that will be enjoyable, cant wait to begin the wood sculpting project.

With drawing wise, all I've been doing was Touhou Fanarts, so nothing really changed too much. But recently i've been thinking of doing a manga, so i've been writing up stories for the manga and been doing some character designing, so i'll be able to upload some ideas and designs later on. Still cant think of a title for the manga idea, but i guess it'll come soon enough.

My Process in making Remilia Scarlet picture... made this cuz some one was being so annoying asking for the picture...lol you know who it is...

Process 1: Lineart ~ 2-3 hours

Process 2: BackGround ~ 30 min

Process 3: Base Color ~ 2 hours

Process 4: Shading/Lighting ~ 3 hours

Process Final: BackGround final ~ 2 hours

Well thats it folks. the process took about ... 10-15 hours all together..
seems like my level of coloring and drawing got a step higher.
so yeah hopefully i can make more kool stuff later on and so on so on....

A Day Spent Chilling in Canada

So today I woke up at 5:30 AM … yeah, early, but David woke up at 5 am. He came around 6:00 AM to pick me up, and my mom waved goodbye to me at the front door… hoping that David wouldn’t kill me on the way there.

Well, that's where our journey began.…

Our drive up to Canada wasn't too awesome but it wasn’t boring either. We listened to some Japanese songs and just chatted about spiders, worms, and other random things.
Soon enough we got close to the border; time to take out the passports.

Once in Canada, our Google Maps wasn't much of a help, so we used David’s cell phone GPS application which got us to our destination in no time.

Because we got to Book Off an hour early though, we had to waste some time. So we just started roaming around the area, looking at the big buildings, fountains, Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks, and more Starbucks… they had 7-11s as well.

The time came, 10:00 AM, Book Off was OPEN! We were the second and third customers to enter.

To put our Book Off search in a nutshell, we stayed there for about 3 hours finding books, picking books, and dropping books. We were able to grab some great finds. :D

After our treasure hunt was over, we had to eat something; we needed to feed ourselves. We decided to eat pho… BUT we searched and searched, but they didn’t have a SINGLE pho restaurant! In Seattle they’re on every corner! Instead they had like a million Japanese restaurants. So we were walked for close to an hour and happened to find a ramen shop called EZOGIKU. Ramen seemed like a good idea, so we decided to eat there. Lo-and-behold, the ramen here was really good! I’m sorry for the Samurai Noodle fans… but Ezogiku totally pwns Samurai…. The noodles were special made egg noodles, resting in a pool of their special miso flavored Ezogiku soup, topped with many vegetables and chashu (pork). And for an extra $3.00 we got mini fried rice and a 4-piece gyoza set!

After our amazing ramen find, we began heading back to the car. On our way back I picked up some Poutine (look it up on wiki or something) for my brother. Continuing on our way, we encountered the craziest thing…

As we walked along the sidewalk, a bunch of people started taking out their cameras and gathering in one area. The reason for this? People were riding their bikes…NAKED! Bare-naked. From young to old, men and women, all riding their bikes… naked. I really don't know what they were trying to do…. Maybe to show freedom? I don't know….

After that traumatizing event we walked back towards the car. I had a couple dollars left, so I went back to Book Off and bought a couple more books and we encountered COSPLAYERS!! Dun dun dun. Way creepy.

So having had a more than eventful day, we headed back to the car and set off on our journey back home.

In the process, however, we got lost and had to once again rely on David’s cell phone GPS to get us back on the right track… which it did, after finding out that we had gone way off course.

We eventually made our way back to the US border, passports in hand, and re-entered the country and were off on our way home.

This time the drive turned out interesting though. Since the roads were clear for the most part, David decided to speed the rest of the way home eventually maxing out at 110 MPH at one point.

The only hindrance to this was the traffic we continually encountered. Jokingly, I yelled “FUUJIN” in a mock effort to get the cars ahead of us to move… much to our surprise the first car did… and then the next… and then the next after that. We were surprised to say the least, and in a hilarious way no less. Soon enough David began saying that the cars “were bowing down to us,” and we began calling ourselves the kings of the road. But that’s just the start…

We inevitably hit traffic which is where we ran into this guy in a blue Corvette. This guy was definitely having fun zipping around the highway. Soon enough the guy ran into this kid in a fully customized black car; we could tell it had been modified for the purpose of street racing. Much to our surprise, we watched as the guy in the Corvette wanted a race with the guy in the custom car. And so they raced, for as little space as they had.

That’s when David decided to punch the gas and we sped right past the both of them at 100 MPH, as they both stared at us with WTF looks on their faces. We ended up getting ahead of them both, but the Corvette guy was out for revenge as he came up behind and eventually overtook us, weaving in and out of traffic.

Meanwhile, the guy in the custom car drove up beside us and we nodded at him receiving a nod in return, both of us laughing all the while. Anyways, back to the race. The guy in the custom car tried to catch up to Corvette guy with no success. We, however, didn’t feel like backing down and giving up.

David sped up his car and began weaving in and out of traffic. Leaving custom car guy far behind us, we caught up to Corvette guy soon enough. He decided to get into our lane just ahead, as David weaved around and overtook him. At that very moment, Corvette guy exited the highway and forfeited the race.

WE WON THE STREET RACE!!

In a crappy stock Nissan no less! We beat out American muscle and a fully-customized street racing car in a crapmobile plastered with Pedobear and Longcat pictures. Suffice it to say, we appropriately renamed ourselves The Street Kings.

Thoroughly amused by our recent win we sped home the rest of the way, discussing our recent escapades and figuring out how we could turn it into a hit manga; a manga which we decided to entitle The Legend of Street King Fuujin.

Anyways, on our way home we decided to pay Piers a visit and drop off the manga we got him at and during his QFC job.

After hanging around for a little while David drove me home where my mom was again waiting at the door and staring outside… she welcomed me back…. David dropped me off and after our goodbyes he was off to go home.

And so our epic day trip end, as we hoped to bring more people with us next time to spend some time in Vancouver, Canada.

Winter Anime Series 2009

It that time of year season again, when the new quarter begins and new series starts!

after looking through some other sites with previews for the 2009 series, well i dont see too much that i am really going to be interested in...

The Winter Anime 2009 Going to watch list.

Kurokami the Animation
Airing Date: January 9th
Production Group: Sunrise

Plot Summary: A high school boy named Keita (who is a programmer in the original manga) accidentally stumbles into a battle between a race of magic-users called Mototsumitama (or Tera Guardians in the English version) and finds himself protecting one such, a girl named Kuro. Kuro is the last of her tribe, along with her brother, who slaughtered the rest of their tribe. She's come to earth to stop him, and Keita finds himself right in the middle of it all.

My Thoughts: Well, i'm basically gonna just watch this cuz the production group is Sunrise(code geass/gundam00) so yeah, lets see where sunrise brings this one.

Minami-ke Okaeri
Airing Date: January 5th
Production Group: Aslead

Plot Summary: Three orphaned sisters-- the mature, steady eldest Haruka, hyperactive trouble-maker Kana, and precocious Chiaki –live together in an apartment. Together with their colorful cast of friends, which includes a pint-sized cross-dresser, a flamboyant idiot, another pint-sized cross-dresser, and a teddy bear, they have a variety of silly slice-of-life adventures. Third season go!

My Thoughts: Yup, i enjoyed watching the first season, the second season was ok, i'm kinda sad about this third season as well though, because the director is the same as the one from the second season, which wasnt as good as the first one, so i guess i'll just see where this'll take me...

Tower of Druaga ~Sword of Uruk~
Airing Date: January 9th
Production Group: Gonzo

Plot Summary: A continuation of the sometimes-comedy sometimes-drama fantasy series inspired by a (relatively) ancient video game. It's not clear what kind of adventures our intrepid heroes will find themselves in, although the images currently around make it seem more on the serious side.

My Thoughts: so this is the second season of the Tower of Druaga, the first season was alright, and since they kinda ended it as a cliff hanger(not as intense as code geass though) i'll be watching this, well at least the first couple episodes...

Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou
Airing Date: January 6th
Produciton Group: Brain Base

Plot Summary: Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou follows the continued tales of a beleaguered boy who inherits his grandmother's book of demons that she captured against their will. Now he has to make up for her cruelty.

My Thoughts: i enjoyed the first season of this show, so i'm hoping that it can keep it up with its chill comedy and slice of life with a touch of youkai.

The Winter Anime 2009 Possibles

Birdy the Mighty Decode:02
Airing Date: January 11th
Production Group: A-1 Pictures

Plot Summary: The continued adventures of a boy whose spirit is living in the cyborg body of an interplanetary cop in this sci-fi comedy. Tsutomu attempts to help Birdy with her investigations, while trying to find a way to get his own body (since she accidentally killed his) and keeping his parents from finding out about his unusual situation.

My Thoughts: this is an interesting series, i just need to catch up on the first series, so depending on how the first one goes i'll be checking this one out.

Chrome-Shelled Regios
Airing Date: January 11th
Production Group: ZEXCS

Production Group: In a fantasy-laden future where pollution has contaminated creatures that have taken over most of the world, humans live in isolated cities that can actually be moved as necessary. In this world, our hero Reifon attends a martial arts academy, so that they can save the world.

My Thoughts: Well i'm just ineterested in how this is going to turn out, the manga was pretty good, so i'll just see how the anime version turned out.

Hetalia Axis Powers
Airing Date: January 26th
Production Group: Deen

Plot Summary: Hetalia anthropomorphizes every nation as a cute high school boy and pitting them all against one another in the oldest battlefield on the planet: high school. Stereotypes abound, of course: America loves hamburgers, Japan is a total nerd, and China has pandas.

My Thoughts: actually i dont know why i'm watching this... i think b/c it seems like somekind of comedy, so i'll give it a try and i like some of Deens works.

Airing Date: January 5th

Plot Summary: The story centers on a sophomore named Kanako who enrolls in all-girls school because she has a phobia of men and wants to find her destined yuri partner. She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria — except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy.

My Thoughts: I guess the story caught my attention.. yeah thats it.

Ride Back
Airing Date: January 11th
Production Group: Madhouse

Plot Summary: Set in a turbulent 2020, when the UN has been dismantled and the Japanese government is constantly under siege by student protesters, a college studentl named Rin has two unique items: one, an impressive dancing ability. The other is an “iron horse”-- a small mech. Together, they'll change the world.

My Thoughts: Just hoping that this will be a good mech series to watch for this season..

Shikabane Hime Kuro
Airing Date: January 4th
Production Group: Gainax/Feel

Plot Summary: The sequel to Shikabane Hime Aka (aka=red, kuro=black), which featured Makina Hoshimura as a girl who comes back to life after being murdered. Well, in as much as you can call slaughtering 108 other undeads a “life.” Expect lots of action and a remarkable amount of fanservice for something so gruesome-- though it's not on the level of, say, Hellsing Ultimate.

My Thoughts: I still havent watched all of the first series, but it does have potential, so i'll just have to determine to watch this after i first watch the first season.

Slayers EVOLUTION-R
Airing Date: January 12th
Production Group: J.C. Staff

Plot Summary: The second half of the season that started with Slayers REVOLUTION, Slayers Evolution-R also follows an original storyline not presented in the novel series that inspired the first seasons of the show. I assume it will follow the story of the prince-turned-pokemon Pokota and Lina as they attempt to save Pokota's kingdom.

My Thoughts: So this is the second half of the Slayers revolution season, i still havent watched any of the... what 5 seasons of slayers?? so yeah i just think i'll hold onto them, and when i have time i'll watch them all.. like have a slayers marathon or something..XD

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo
Airing Date: January 6th
Production Group: Sunrise

Plot Summary: This sci-fi moe series takes place in that ever-popular future where humanity has colonized space. A girl named Akiha stumbles upon a conspiracy involving an intelligent computer system. Along with several friends-- Honoka, the robot Imo-chan, and cop Itsuki –she decides to take on the evil A.I. known as Leopard.

My Thoughts: So yeah even though Sunrise made this, its still kinda a possible... cuz the story doesnt really catch on for me. we'll just have to see...

Sora o Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai
Airing Date: January 13th
Production Group: Kyoto Animation

Plot Summary: Akuto, the main source of energy is running low and the Heavens, a world of islands, hidden beyond time, floating above ours, has united against the Magical Kingdom whom uses the most energy. To save both the Magical Kingdom and the Heavens and restore the flow of akuto, the Magical King Munto must follow a vision and find the girl Yumemi in the lower world. Yumemi herself is just a normal girl except that she is the only one who can see the islands of the Heavens floating above. When Munto appears before her she starts thinking about hers and others responsibility to the world.

My Thoughts: yeah just for the heck of it. no reason..

White Album
Airing Date: January 4th
Production Group: Seven Arcs

Plot Summary:White Album is another eroge-to-anime adaptation, but it does have one relatively unique twist: the player's character is a guy who already has a girlfriend, rather than a single lothario seeking one. The player must take him through the game and decide whether to stay with her or hook up with a new love.

My Thoughts: slice of life?

Just wanted to share u all my intense timeline of my drawing so far!

yeah, so today i got my mini-dvi to dvi adapter, and finally hooked up the 19" monitor. i'm so hyped! so sweet man!

btw this is where i do all my art... on my mac, and NOW on this 19" screen! yes!!!

behind my mac are my faveorite manga and the haruhi light novels... yeah cant really see it..lol

so yeah the Fall quarter is about to end, Finals week is next week. wohooo....actually its not that bad, cuz all i have is a final for math, and we get to use notes. So it'll be a pretty easy.

I finally finished my Animation project in Bob's class,

This Quarter i guess i would say was the worst quarter yet... English and Math class is not a really good combo to take in one quarter... especially b/c i really dislike writing research papers and solving bunch of math problems... that isnt really nesecary for my Art.

After this quarter i get about 3 weeks of break till next Quarter, so thats good. :D more drawings!
and work on some Azumanga Parody Animation.

I kinda like this schedule, its gonna be great. Winter quarter is gonna be a blast, from the looks of this schedule i dont think i'll be getting overwhelmed by HW.

Today my dad and i went on a trip to Vancouver, Canada. Ohhh~ Canada~~~!

woke up at 6 am and left home at 7 and started drivin toward canada.

Hatsune Miku WIP

So Anime News Network is hosting a Hatsune Miku contest, so i just thought i should try it out, so i finally finished the lineart and got started on the coloring.

its a good chance for me to see how well i do agains the world. XDD kinda..

anyhow these are the steps i tood in completeing this

Sketching - 2 hours
Lineart - 2.5 hours
BaseColor - 1.5 hours
Shading/Lighting - 4 hours... yeah..
total hours spent - about 10 hours.

so yeah wish me luck guys.

but any how, i just made this little wallpaper of kannagi, took a while, but it all turned out fine. gonna have to practice more with the tablet and coloring. yup yup.
