Medicine Show: The Poster Art of Ballroom Marfa - Marfa, Texas

Need an excuse for a road trip? Why not go to Marfa? You can check out this awesome exhibit. Plus, I hear it's real pretty out there. Who knows, you might even get to see those creepy lights people talk about.

From the Ballroom's press release:

"Medicine Show is visual evidence of Ballroom Marfa’s adventurous live music program that for the last three years has brought an array of musicians from near and far to perform in Marfa, Texas. For each of these performances, Ballroom Marfa commissioned a limited edition poster—most of which were hand silk screened by the designer. This special three-day exhibit will display the whole of Ballroom Marfa’s poster series up to now and give insight into how these showbills are printed."

Opening Reception:

I just uploaded three new posters. Manu Chao at Stubb's, Ben Harper at Harra's Casino (not for sale), and another Brand New tour poster (no, I don't know if and when this will go on sale). If you placed an order in the last couple weeks your order will ship out today. Exciting, isn't it?

Hello Atlanta

Wow, it's been a really long time since I posted an update. Why, you ask, must you stop keeping us informed of your amazing happenings? well, let me tell you... I moved to Atlanta. Yes, sir. I've been here for almost two months now. So what do I think? I'm not sure... It's different. I moved here to go to back to school, which is exciting. Other than that, my move has been fairly uneventful.
Moving sucks the time and life out of you, let me tell you. But things are slowly going back to normal. So if you've been patiently waiting to call and hire me for that huge project you've had in mind, now is a good time.
By the way, Have you picked up that new Okkervil River album yet? no? well, you should. It's good.

Brand New

This was an edition of 175 posters, of which only 15 are
available here. The rest were sold at the shows.
They are $40 each, and are limited to only one per person.

New Work Soon

howdy howdy.
First off, thanks to everyone that came by Flatstock. What a great time that was. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be doing another one of these events. I may be going back to school soon, which may limit my time and budget.

A couple things coming up: A brand new 'Brand New' tour poster, and a just as new 'Manu Chao' poster for Stubb's in Austin.

You may (or may not) have noticed that I did a new explosions poster that is not on this site. I'll be uploading it soon, so hang tight! These are very limited, so keep your eye out. Once it's gone, it's gone.
