It's an artist's response to issues surrounding modern-day slave trade - exploiting human beings for financial profit. I worked on an A-team from the Portland underground to create a <a href="http://www.callandresponsemovie.com/responsinator.asp">site that uses data visualization to map people's emotions surrounding one of the biggest issues in the world: slavery.</a><br /><br />In the end - this feature kind of got buried on their site - but it deserves a lot more credit than it got.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mathdept/2472392931/" title="Call + Response, Concert to End Slavery by LumpSumz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3289/2472392931_3789bbe1fb.jpg" alt="Call + Response, Concert to End Slavery" height="249" width="425" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/36916787-4029308312970437777?l=www.mathdept.com'/></div>Aaron Jameshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07528704405866092285noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36916787.post-48660438499463959692008-08-13T12:29:00.000-07:002008-08-13T12:38:44.195-07:00<span style="font-size:130%;">Musicfest NW 2008 - live the dream</span><br /><br />Go to <a href="http://musicfestnw.com/">this festival</a>.
