I think there's a lot of credibility in the idea that we're seeing Democratic Party civil war here- between Obama, the DNC, and the 50 state philosophy and Clinton, the DLC, and the Electoral Calculus philosophy. It's not just the candidates, but the entire approach of the party that's at stake, which is why the fight is being dragged out to the the bitter end.

Clinton is definitely showing her old-guard stripes in taking black support for granted rather than trying to actually work for support in any way.

I hope she follows Obama's lead and starts campaigning against McCain; if they both work together, even before a final call is made, they can get a moth or two of full out double teaming in to ensure that whichever one of them gets the nod has an easy walk to the Whitehouse.
