The Revolution: A Manifesto is now out. And many of you have already read it. Wouldn't it be great if we could share this book with thousands of others? How about we do that? Show them the Ron Paul spirit. We will be starting up a project that will donate The Revolution to all 238 public libraries in New Hampshire. The publisher has agreed to give us a nice discount due to the volume. I have a list of all 238 libraries and will start contacting them shortly. We need to raise about $3,600 to cover the books and shipping to each library. I know that some libraries may have already received a copy. If you have donated a copy already please contact us so that we can take it off the list. If there are any funds left over the money will be donated to the NH Republican Liberty PAC. So, the Real-ID card was passed a few years ago and a few states have opted out. What is the federal government to do?

Oh, I know. Let's make it even more difficult by placing the Real-ID requirements on the Social Security card. That's a great idea! Kids cannot go to school without a SS Card so they will grow up not knowing any better. Adults will have a hard time getting a job in some places without a SS Card. Let's see those so called "freedom folk" find their way out of this paper bag.

They must really think we are stupid...here's an excerpt (full story here).

The “Social Security Identity Theft Prevention Act” (H.R. 5405) more appropriately titled the “Social Security Surveillance Act” was likely spurred by high opposition to the failing Real ID Act. This act would be an adequate run around to implement Real ID yet in another form. They claim their reasons for introducing this act is to curb the high rate of identity theft in Northern Illinois.

Liberty or Slavery? It's Time to Decide

On March 18 the United States Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller. The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled in March 2007 that the Second Amendment guarantees and protects an individual rather than a “collective” right to bear arms. DC Mayor Adrian Fenty petitioned for an appeal. The Supreme Court will settle the matter.

The freedom or slavery of future generations of Americans depends on their decision.

The drafters of The Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and the Constitution all knew that without the right to keep and bear arms government would eventually take all rights away from the people. It has been over 200 years since these documents were written. Today such ideas are no longer taught to our children, and the people sit idly by as their liberty is stripped away.

The Founding Fathers would be ashamed of what we have let this country become. In just the last few years our Fourth Amendment protections have been attacked by the Patriot Act. Habeas Corpus has been seriously undermined by the Military Commissions Act. The National ID Card intrudes on the rightful powers of the States, and threatens the citizen's freedom of movement within our nation's borders. Finally, the Federal Government has stated clearly that citizens do not have the right to have their petition for redress of grievances answered (see We the People Foundation v. United States).

All of these laws have been passed openly and in the name of security. Remember what Benjamin Franklin said: “They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety.” Rest assured that if we allow our government to continue on its present course, sooner rather than later we will have neither.

If ever there was a time to stand up and demand that our government respect the rights of citizens, it is now. We strongly encourage every man or woman who cherishes their freedom to take action, and send a clear message to the Federal Government that We the People are willing and able to take our government from the clutches of any who would reign over us.

As Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter to William S. Smith in 1787,

And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms...The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure.

The following actions are strongly encouraged:

Contact your state representatives, state senators and governor, and tell them that our freedom is not negotiable. If necessary, they should do their duty and interpose themselves between the citizen and the Federal Government.
Contact your US Congressmen, US Senators and the President, and tell them that our freedom is not theirs for the taking. We will not become slaves.
Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper(s) and contact other media outlets, declaring your intention to stand firm in defense of your rights – and encourage others to do the same.
Join a pro-liberty organization (Gun Owners of America, Free State Project, Fully Informed Jury Association, etc.)
Get involved with a pro-liberty candidate for public office this year, or consider running yourself. Run for any office – from school board on up.
On March 18, the day arguments begin in the Heller case, purchase at least one firearm and ammunition.

NH will not participate in the Real-ID program! The state law was passed and signed into last year, and the feds came knocking. The Governor sent them home...

This March 5th is a very important day for citizens of New Hampshire. The agenda that is set to unfold before of our elected officials is quite astounding. Just look at the list at the end of this message as I'm sure you will find at least one item that you have strong feelings about!

I strongly encourage anyone able to attend this major event to come and demonstrate to our elected officials that we are watching them.

We now have two more pro-liberty candidates that are running for state rep, Dan & Carol McGuire.

Dan is the State Coordinator and Chairman of the NH Republican Liberty Caucus, which has had other great freedom leaders such as their past national chair Congressman Ron Paul. Dan is also active in the Reagan Network, which is a group here in NH that provides training of real Conservative candidates.

Carol is on the board of directors of the NH Liberty Alliance and is serving as treasurer. Carol is also active in the Reagan Network.

Why do people not understand the simple concept that government should not meddle in the free market?

The New York City Board of Health voted unanimously Tuesday to require all city chain restaurants to post calorie data on their menus.

If people really wanted to know this then they would lobby for it by contacting the restaurant. While the cost of putting this will be minimal, the cost will just be passed to the consumer, which of course will raise food tax revenue, etc. After all it wasn't until recently that Quizno's posted calories of their products on the web and they still refuse to let consumer know what ingredients they use. Is Quizno's hurting? I don't think so...it's because for the most part people don't care about knowing this data much less does it sway them for the most part to change their eating habits.

Furthermore, doesn't this discriminate? Why should Burger King or Taco Bell have to post their calories but not Ruth's Chris? Finally, I haven't read the legislation, but I assume that the definition of chain isn't explained very well thus Ruth's Chris might have to be put into the same category as Taco Bell.

Regardless, adults are adults and the state should not treat them as kids. By doing so they just dumb us down more.

First it was nutritional information and ingredients must be listed, then they told us what we could eat when the ban on duck liver occurred (in some cities), they ban smoking in restaurants, and now they want this. What's next?

A few days ago, I was interrogated for 90 minutes by Shirlene McGovern, an officer of the government of Alberta. I have been accused of hurting people's feelings because, two years ago, I published the Danish cartoons of Mohammed in the Western Standard magazine.

Ms. McGovern's business card said she was a "Human Rights Officer." What a perfectly Orwellian title.
