I'm not going to go on about how sad it is big clubs field softer sides for Cup ties because it's been done ad nauseam. All of the stupid nonsense on the television about Giant Killing and "everyone turns up for the Cup" is the kind of shit I eat up and love about it.

I was watching Soccer Saturday (which I LOVE during the FA Cup), and Stelling's reaction to Hartlepool going 2-0 up over Stoke was classic. Forest's 3-0 thrashing of City, while personally upsetting, is exactly what makes the FA Cup fantastic to watch.

I am just glad there are more matches on television here now. You don't get many opportunities to watch Gillingham in the US.

Chrissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04760316755160485892noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661903179179965481.post-60586462951872501832008-10-09T08:57:00.001-04:002008-10-09T08:58:12.138-04:00Setanta Sports on ComcastIf you want Setanta Sports added to comcast this is how you do it:

How To Get Setanta Sports On Comcast Cable | EPL Talk

I just spoke with a source inside Comcast Cable who confirmed that their head office in Philadelphia has signed a contract with Setanta Sports so that local Comcast Cable companies have the green light to add the (station).

*snip*

To find the contact information for your local Comcast Cable provider, visit the Cable Provider Locator tool and enter your zip code. Eriksson has done an impressive job since taking over as City manager last July, but despite strong denials from the club, there have been suspicions for some weeks that the Swede’s job is under threat.

Holy Jesus, what is it with Billionaire owners? City do not produce miraculous results. Did he really think he could undo 32 years of City being City with some fucking money. You can't buy well in January and Eriksson was appointed very late in the summer to do too much with the group. He is the fucking future of this club. I wasn't sure when he was first appointed, but he inherited a hodge podge team bought really well with limited time, and voila top half of the table. The best part is, he tries to get them to play flowing football, City are no longer masters of the Long Ball. (When they're not running scared that is, because they'll hoof that shit like Liverpool or Bolton if they get nervous--but they're a relatively NEW side). Wenger does it with Arsenal and he's got Moral Victory and no trophies. Why isn't that enough for Frank right now? Because seriously, die hard Man City fans are thrilled with Sven.

Chrissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04760316755160485892noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661903179179965481.post-73790303145157905352008-04-11T08:38:00.001-04:002008-04-11T08:40:12.771-04:00More laughs at Liverpool's expense

Gillett offers Parry Support
Liverpool's co-owner George Gillett has thrown his support behind Rick Parry in the wake of Tom Hicks' call for the chief executive to resign.

WOW this is amusing

Chrissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04760316755160485892noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3661903179179965481.post-44904340031887454142008-04-11T08:15:00.003-04:002008-04-11T08:19:19.640-04:00Player of the Year Nominations
THE NOMINEES

Players' Player of the Year

Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)
Fernando Torres (Liverpool)
David James (Portsmouth)
Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

Young Player of the Year

Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)
Fernando Torres (Liverpool)
Ashley Young (Aston Villa)
Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Micah Richards (Man City)

How old do you have to be to not be a young player anymore?
