I can't resist telling you how beautiful they are, just from what we can glimpse in these few pictures. Hannah is a lovely young woman with such amazing red hair! I hope you can persuade her to model for you often. The only difficulty will be making sure that people focus on what's she modeling!Anne Marienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3654891.post-56141137492916246252008-10-06T22:22:00.000-05:002008-10-06T22:22:00.000-05:00In the summer of 1973, I worked at a Girl Scout Ca...In the summer of 1973, I worked at a Girl Scout Camp outside of Clarksburg, WV. I was not a good bike rider, but was assigned as a counselor for a bike trip. One day we were on a training ride not far from the camp-- a winding, steeply declining country road. I was bringing up the rear, when the camper riding ahead of me came to a sudden stop. Luckily, we were on the uphill side of the road, so I could roll into the ditch. Once stopped I asked her what was wrong--she looks at me and then points to the opposite side of the road. "Lookkkkkk at thattttt", she said shaking. I looked--"that" was a garage, its door sat barely two feet off the other side of the road. Its foundation was built on stilts over the edge of the drop- off and there was a big, old pick-up truck backed into the garage. The trucks wheels sat on two wide planks--that was it for the floor--just the two wide planks--you could see the plants below. We biked this road frequently that camp session, sometimes the truck was there, sometimes not, but we always had to stop and marvel how someone could back that truck in without falling through the open floor.

So, as you bike around WV, keep to the uphill side of the road, because you never know what you may see on the downhill side. Have a safe trip and good visit with your cousin.katherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12957046013033728288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3654891.post-34140477116268570482008-10-06T16:57:00.000-05:002008-10-06T16:57:00.000-05:00I wish more stores would organize yarn by guage - ...I wish more stores would organize yarn by guage - I so often feel helpless trying to navigate a store when they don't have exactly what I'm looking for and I'm unsure of substitutions. I mean who cares if all the Debbie Bliss or Rowan is together? Its not like I'm going to shop for Calmer but then decide to knit the same project in Kid Silk Haze!Sel and Poivrehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05675373771037014713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3654891.post-29297963763553893692008-10-06T13:15:00.000-05:002008-10-06T13:15:00.000-05:00I love that picture of your kids!I love that picture of your kids!Sherinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3654891.post-65322301066536994132008-10-06T10:50:00.000-05:002008-10-06T10:50:00.000-05:00That's what I love about you Annie, you are a rebe...That's what I love about you Annie, you are a rebel!
