Description: A variety of adhesive & non Adhesive book structures using Oriental and western techniques will be demonstrated. Participants will be guided through accordion books and simple sewing techniques. Many examples will be shown and students can create variations using supplied papers or with their own materials.

Description: This workshop is an in-depth review of the parts and functions of the Vandercook taking you beyond cranking the press and into the mechanical what and why essential for troubleshooting. Learn all the points of maintenance, lubrication and cleaning and become familiar with the differences between models. Whether you use studio presses, own your own press or are thinking of buying one, this workshop will provide excellent direction for your future press work, so bring your questions, press photos and/or broken parts. Description: A 2 part workshop demonstrating and practicing 2 decorative paper techniques that go back centuries. Turkish paper marbling (AKA Erbu) floats colors on liquid in guided and random patterns and transfers to paper. Paste papers are made with pigment colored paste spread into patterns on paper. Both techniques allow for experimentation and instant results yet much practice to fully master. Even flawed results make for great wrapping paper!

Description: Using supplied recycled cardstock & papers with found vintage materials, participants can make their own cards & envelopes using die cutters, strings, eyelets and rubber stamps. Selection of materials and image combination techniques along with practical considerations will be covered.
