In late December of 2008, the Ashtabula Arts Center lost one of its most steadfast pillars with the death of Corinne Loyd.I was 7 years old when I first remember meeting Corinne. I was walking hand in hand with my mother into the Fine Arts Center on Lake Avenue to take my very first piano lesson. This tall lady with a different accent met me at the desk. Whew!! This has been a particularly challenging summer here at the Arts Center. First, our veteran Theatre Coordinator, Darrell Lowe, left the AAC mid-June after his home in Ashtabula finally sold. Summer seems to take forever to arrive in Northeastern Ohio and then WHAM it's upon us in full force. This same cycle is mirrored at the Arts Center annually.
