Perth Day 4 and the last day Sob sob...

So this is the last day of our trip.... First thing we did was to go to the Aquarium.... to be honest, the one in Singapore and Malaysia is larger than this one.... cheh

Soon after that we headed back to Fremantle to have our famous fish n' chips! yummy!! I miss this place so much... I'm actually craving for it for the past 1 month =.="

Next we headed to the market in Fremantle... In market you have a bar as well...

Oh apparently Perth has a real estate agent named LJ Hooker.... and the ads below somehow portrays something really kinky!

Night time is where we went out dinner with my relatives in Perth, We finally had some Chinese cuisine after 4 days :p

Once done with dinner, we headed out to the parks at night to do a couple of snapshots of the night view of Perth city before heading back to bed .... Sigh so sad....

OK first part of the day we took a full day tour to the Pinnacles desert. On the way we stopped by Cavernsham Wildlife park to meet up with the cute fuddly wuddly animals :p

It was a pretty short trip in the park but hey at least we get to be up close to the animals and play with them.... then we soon head on to our desert journey. And we stopped by for a while to have lunch. We got Lobster for lunch...well half a lobster >.<

The desert looks nice right? It looks pretty hot but I assure you, it's really not that bad. :p

Later we went on to Lancester to ride on the Sand dunes...there's like a 4WD ride as well as sand boarding on the dunes....It's really fun, but walking up the hills of sand to slide down...well lets just say it took my breath away.... LITERALLY!

When they dropped us back during the night in the city, We walked around and found this restaurant that sells exotic food. We read about it in Lonely Planet. Somehow I'm too chicken to try their exotic food... They have like Crocodile meat, Kangaroo meat, Emu Fillet, and so on...So what I had?

Day 2 at Perth

Day 2 is where we had our exploration over at the city itself. Our mode of transport, well our feet. The weather is really cooling to walk unlike in Malaysia where the moment you take a 5 minutes walk, you start to sweat like a pig.

We spent one whole day walking and it totaled up a sum of 16km of walk that day... Eileen's mobile phone has this thing to detect how many steps taken per day and the miles walked.

Pretty looking mall, but hey the sky is sooooo beautiful!

Oh yea, as we walked around the city, there's these little stuff on the floor for us to read and to solve some puzzle quiz....I never solved any =/

Sorry ya, so long didn't post anything on my blog. Been really busy with work and now finally I do have some time to post up the pics I took on my Perth trip last month.

On the night itself we went to Fremantle prison for a ghost tour! It's really a tour you shouldn't miss when you go there. Trust me, it scares the daylight out of you. :p

Side note:
For all these years, I've known Malaysian guys always wanted to go and live in Japan for mainly 2 reasons....

1) For the Metro men, it's because of the jap chicks you see quite often in TV. Trust me, the girls you see in TV are really overrated. Don't believe me? try going there and you'll find out with your own eyes.

2) For the Geeks, Anime is unlimited there! and you may think that these anime somehow portrait the real lifestyle in Japan....but think again...

Until 2 nights ago, I learnt that there's another reason some men would like to go Japan for...

Could it be God's calling back to His side?
After spending over 10 years away from Him and slacking out from my spiritual life, has this finally come to an end to the hindrance and God finally took a step forward and say "Get back here Son!"

I've been called by a company looking for IT specialists in which they wanted to arrange an interview with me. This company approached me once but I've actually rejected the offer due to the position is not what I've been looking for.

But this time around, the same company with different position had called me again. This time around they want a Project manager in which are skilled to at Networking as well as Infrastructure. All 3 are my skillsets... The value add one however is that I get to travel around for projects.

No where fancy though you might say...mostly 3rd world countries in need of our help =.=

6 hours worth of drive.... takes us that long to get there. Yea the sound of driving such long hours may be a drag....but one thing for sure I can say....the view.... SPECTACULAR.... The experience.... Well WORTH it. Trust me on this people.

Here's some proof to show that it's really worth it...

Anyways, this place is like I said, 6-7 hours drive away from KL and it's situated in the state of Terengganu. It's like on top of the mountains and there you'll find Kenyir.

Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. Sharing its border with Kelantan in the west and Pahang in the south. This immense lake also serve as another gateway to Taman Negara. The lake covers 260 km² and contains 340 small islands, which were once hiltops and highlands, more than 14 waterfalls, numerous rapids and rivers. Because the lake is a reservoir, the water level can vary depending on the month. The water level is highest (and the lake consequently the most beautiful) in March and April.

OK OK so instead of wasting your time reading Geography and History of this place, let me share with you the pictures that we have taken.

The dead trees that made Kenyir famous for. It's known as Kayu mati in our local language but somehow, On of our friends called it Kayu Maut which literally translates as Deadly Wood. =.="

This is one of the caves that the tour brought us to. It's called Gua Bewah. Bewah means to gather. Apparently during the early days of 300BC, the cavemen gathers in this cave to shelter from the open. Any other activities during the so called gathering, we do not know :p I have no idea what are they hiding from but the Archeologies found traces of human bones inside this cave.... And there was proof that this whole area way back before was under the ocean. They found traces of sea shells within the rocks that they dug up. There's a room actually inside in which they uset o display the evidence they found within the cave.

After Gua Bewah, we continue heading to the next cave to see from the outside only :(
Apparently the whole cave is flooded by the water level and it's only accessible during the month of August till October only... Sigh...

Other than that, during the next day we woke up pretty early in the morning like 6am just to watch the sunrise and capture some pics then. The view?? you'll see :p

Beautiful isn't it? Oh before I forget, this is the place where we stayed...

It's a 4 star villa in which they have chalets in which it looks like a studio apartment. Pretty impressive setup in my opinion. Looks expensive but during Matta fair, we bought the stay for like RM198 for a night in which it has buy 1 night free 1 night stay promotion...

After the 3 days trip in Kenyir our short holiday has come to an end. We checked out at 12pm and started heading towards a small town called Kemaman. Eileen said that there's a very tasty nasi beriani and a shop in which rumors has it that that's where coffee had started in malaysia.

After having our lunch and coffee, it's finally time to start heading back to KL. another 6 hours back to home sweet home.

On our way back we actually passed Cherating beach so we stopped by for a few photoshoots and to have a cooling coconute drink. I will post those pictures later on another post along with our group photos.

Trust me, if you're a nature freak like us, you'll definitely love going for this trip.

What Happened to Recordedmoments???

Dammit it's been so long since I've been able to have any time sparred to write anything in my blog. Work has even come to a point where it's everywhere in my mind.

What should I do???

Never mind, just let me babble something spontaneously just for fucks sake.

As I have read back my older posts, It occurs to me that all my past experience is just a mere recognition of the previous me. I have changed. No doubt in my body size =.=" but as well as the way I start to think.

As people start to age, we would realize that the past us are just mere memories of what we used to be. That's all the reason I've started this blog in the first place.

Back in those days, was never a weekend I would miss hitting the clubs and local bars to have a good time with my mates and all. We could bring ourselves to go all out till the morning sun warmth starts hitting our tired faces. Well not really tired though and furthermore we could continue till the afternoon strikes us and end up scouring the house for a place to rest LOL.

On weekdays, my mates and I will be going out for dinners... realize the plural i placed on dinner? It's mainly coz we could never stop on 1 place for food. Usually we would hop on the car and then start looking for other places for a drink and chill. Now this is what I would call living life on the fast track.

However, when you get older and career starts to prioritize in your mindset, your whole lifestyle completely changes. You would put in so much effort regardless it's emotional, mental or even physical, you would go the extra mile with what you got on your career. This often makes us tired as hell by the time we're off from work.

By the time you reach home, you would feel the weight of your day's labour hovering on your shoulder and you would just call it quits and call it an early night off.

Well this is just my perception. Other reality is well.... we're just getting older LOL

I know some of you would just pfft at me or even laugh at this statement that I do agree I'm getting older. This is what I call life. It's not that I do not enjoy life as I used to anymore but in a way, I'm happy that where my hard work has gotten my career thus far.

It has been fruitful though just I would need a couple more years to be where I actually want to be in the corporate ladder hence I have to act fast :p

Look at where I am now, career wise, I'm a manager...well those days when people see you as a manager, they would go like "Waaa.... good life huh you?"

To be entirely honest with you, being a manager DOES NOT mean that you have a better life than any executives out there. Yes no doubt you get to push people around from time to time, but hey at the end of the day, the higher your position is, the more responsibilities you have to bear on your shoulders.

Like what Spiderman Movie said.... "With great powers comes great responsibilities!"

Has romance become such a desperate thing for us nowadays?

Even in Matta fair there are agencies trying to hook people up together.
This proves that people in the city these days concentrates too hard on work and literally have no time for a little romance or even a little fun.

Or could we look at another angle and say that the companies we work for these days are giving us more and more jobs until we couldn't finish therefore we utterly have no time for socializing with others.

Something to Look Forward To

It's been so long I've ever got the time to blog about anything at all. Work had been really piling up on me literally till the extent I could no longer have much time to do anything else but crash at home later day of the evening to take my own personal time to do practically nothing at all. I don't even have much time to play the games that I would usually play... how sad such kind of life is huh?

Since I took over P Project from a colleague who had resigned, I've been getting phone calls ever more frequent compared to my daily life. Heck I even might get more phone calls coming in to me than I would normally received for a month! Just like yesterday, Just on incoming calls only I had like 81 calls already excluding the calls I have to make for this P Project.

So as you might be able to imagine, my life is basically havoc right now. I'm so nervous to the extent of even having to force myself to check office emails from time to time from home; just to make sure there's if there's any urgent mails that require my attention, I'll be able to attend to it.

Teluk Batik Beach - Sitiawan

Oh don't let me bore you with my work and all. I am finally going to take a short weekend trip back to Sitiawan with a few friends of mine. Finally, the sea side, the sea food, the slower pace of life... God I'd give anything to have such life. comfortable and everything is so easy going. No doubt in order to experience such kind of life, one must not be too greedy on the incomes one would be getting living in such remote places.

But of course, life style there would be way much cheaper as well compared to our hectic city life. Like there's an old saying, There's a price to pay to every choice we make.

We are going to enjoy this weekend with the scent of sea breeze over the atmosphere, sitting by the beach while the gentle waves sweeps across your leg, the sea breeze running through your hair and letting yourself soak in the warmth of what the sun could provide.

Ah...the life... I can't wait to go back there and take some nice pictures as well as enjoy a full load of seafood :p

What on earth is going on??

My apologies people, As most of you know recently we have internet issues with Streamyx and also possible with other ISP outside.

Hence this had made me unable to upload pictures through the internet as my upload speed now is like only about 40-100kbps >.< in which, layman terms it means it's fucking slow to upload any pictures....

Since there's no pictures to upload, let me recap on my resolution for year 2008.

1) Cutback on smoking.

I have been trying for about 2 years to quit on smoking. I used to smoke like 2 packs of cigs a day. I fully understand the consequences of smoking and yes, I have been working on cutting down from 2 packs a day till up to date 3-4 days a pack. Not much of improvement you say? Well for some it's quite difficult despite the stress and the issues I go through throughout the 2 years. In a way, I'm making progress...

Well for this whole year round, I didn't really manage to cut down significantly, however, I did manage to only maintain the same amount of smokes per day... hence, I FAILED...

2) Improvements in my career.

I have just changed a new job. I'm earning more than my previous company. In a way I'm proud of my achievements but for this year, it's gonna get harder. I would like to stand out in my career and I have set a certain amount I wanna achieve in salary and as well as I have set the position I would like to be in for my career - a full fledged manager. :p

Hmm.... year 2008 was considered challenging to me coz I have changed like 3 jobs in that year. However, it's an upgrade on each job I've changed. I'm a full fledged project manager now and I'm happy with my job despite the busy schedule. So... this is a PASS....

3) Find someone special.

for 15 months now I've remained single. I've never gone out much from my house. My only routine is to go to work and come home. That's about it. Isolation was my theme for the past year. This time around, I think it's a suitable time for me to look for someone special to complete myself in the things I would not be able to do alone. *I know. some of you are laughing while reading this =.=" *

Umm.. need I say more? I have found someone special and till this day, I'm still very happy being with her ^^ so this is a PASS...

4) Change of Lifestyle.

As I mentioned above, I have not gone out much the whole year hence it kinda distorted my once glorious social life. :( *Stop laughing =.="* So I think this year I should go out and meet the world once again. Working with my previous company had made me too lazy to go out coz everyday during the weekdays I work till late nights therefore making me lazy to leave the comfort of my house after office. It also made me appreciate home more during the weekends as it's the only time I would be able to relax and rest. This new job however, is more relaxed. They don't really encourage overtime works. So I believe I'll be able to have more time spent not only with my family but with my friends as well. :)

I have had some outings this year. I've been slightly more active with my friends this year around and I'm proud to pronounce this resolution a PASS...

5) Obesity control.

Ever since I got back from Hong Kong at 2006, I gradually grew bigger in size as well as weight. I used to frequent the gym but after Hong Kong, I've been lazy and well too tired after work to hit the gym. So This year, I'm gonna put myself back to the gym and I would wanna have a proper toned up body by the end of this year *fingers crossed*

I failed plus failed another time.... historically, the heaviest I've been is like 75kg but this year around, I've gone up to 80kg >.<>

6) Getting a place to call my own home.

For 2 years now I've been planning to get my own place but was either too lazy to look for one, or due to some other plans of leaving the country that stopped me from searching harder. This year I suppose it'll be a better idea to get my own place. Well I might achieve in finding someone special so in a way, I do need something solid as well. A home would be the best bet.

Due to the frequent change of jobs, my income was affected as well, hence I limited myself from viewing any properties. So this year I'm probably gonna try again.... For now, this resolution FAIL...

Well well, 3 passes and 3 fails. Not bad still... It's still a 50% success to setup your own resolutions.

I will figure out what is my 2009 resolution is and will then update here once again...Sigh gonna be another year older soon... >.<

Sorry for the late updates; As usual, I've been really stuck with heaps of work till it kinda suck out all the creativity in my mind to post out anything at all.

Don't worry, I have got something in store for all of you. I'll post out the pictures of what happened to me during Christmas eve :p It's really nothing fancy though. Since Eileen isn't in Malaysia this season, I gotta find something to do too right? Can't let myself spend a lonely Christmas, No one should actually ^^

Anyways, I've uploaded some nice songs that I've bought for myself as Christmas gift and now I'm sharing it with you guys.

2008 Mini Blogger's Gathering

So sorry for the late update on my blog guys. Work has been piling up lately and I don't really have much time for myself except when I'm home.

Usually I would upload those pictures from home but unfortunately, TM Streamyx has really taken a toll on me as well, My connection to the internet intermittently gets disconnected. Last night in order to send a mail to my co worker, I got disconnected like over 7 times. Can you imagine how bad would this get when I upload pictures?

So here I am, slightly eased up in office.... Therefore without further or do, I present to you 2008 Blogger's Gathering Season 2.

Yes again it was held in Marche. The reason for this all is very simple...

1) It's easier to split the bill as we have our own cards to pay at the cahier.
2) The location seems so much better to take pictures with.
3) The voters had voted for the food there. (Though in my personal opinion, the food isn't so great after all)

Was the gathering boring?? Hmm.... let the above picture speaks for itself... LOL

Nah, it wasn't so bad....First we started off by helping our Co host, Evie to put on some make up. Few reasons as well...

1) She was kinda underdessed.
2) We had a surprise for her and that surprise won't really go along with an underdressed person :)

OK So here's the surprise we had for Evie. We kinda understand that she is getting married soon, and she has some shortage of funds, So the girls decided to make her earn her own marriage fund. How you say?

Yeap, that's right! She has to go around asking for donations all over the restaurant. But wait.... She's not just going around empty handed. She has to work on some sales before getting her hands on her money!

"As I've posted earlier, we, as in a few kuchi-rat bloggers, would like to have a mini gathering again this year. We have decided to have it on the 21st of November 2008, no, not a early Christmas Edition anymore, more to a normal get together (cos 21st Nov is so damn far away from Christmas). Since we've decided to make it easy-bill-manage, we narrowed down to these two location in PJ.

One, Marche Movenpick The Curve for easy larger seating area with aircond and indoor smoking access for those who smokes plus easier to make early booking for space but with abit of expensive billing. Calvin said this would produce a better photography at the end of the day so...

Two, McDonald's Mutiara Damansara, the one opposite Ikea or Tesco (I think) with cheaper manageable bills and free 24/7 Coke refill, but cannot guarantee if there would be enough seating indoor for everyone unless some seat outside and some seat inside. Furthermore, you can watch Discovery Channel or Football, if there is any on that day, or whichever Astro channel they wanna put on that day.

So there you have the pros and cons of these two area.

We've come up with a poll on our sidebar so that you can choose which area you would prefer to have this gathering. The polling ends this Saturday 12pm so that we could make reservations at Marche just in time (in case if Marche gets the majority votes). So please make your votes now.

Contentment?

OK OK Sorry for the long absence. I've been taking 2 weeks break away from work as well as blogging mainly coz right now I'm waiting for my new job to start.

Seriously, there's nothing worth to note down on what has been going on my life for the past 2 weeks apart from sleeping and gaming :) Yes there are occasions where I go out with some of my friends but rest assure, it's very very rare. I'd rather laze at home and wait till the day comes I have to wake up early in the morning for my work :p

OK. Today's topic would be something more general. It's something that is so common that sometimes people tend to forget about it.

Do you not find it ironic that there's a lot of people who keeps telling each other to be contented with what they have? Yet they themselves rarely practice it?

On general, Contentment comes only to those who CHOOSE to be contented with what they have. Some people are so consumed with greed or their own goals that they tend to miss out the best thing that they have right now.

For example: Men or women always complains about their partners or their husband/wife on their bad points. They would say how much their other half does not understand them or does not treasure them. One way to look at it, it's true. BUT think about it this way: Whether you are in good of bad times, have your partner refused to stand by your side? Have they never been your shoulder to cry on? Have they never been your best friend in times of need?

I know I used to be a person who use to take relationships for granted. I am still learning let me assure you that I'm learning each and everyday to build up as a better person to my other half :)

Let's face it, NO ONE'S PERFECT! Never your partner, never your husband/wife, and NEVER will be you. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

In relationships, there is no such thing as YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. Everyone in a relationship CAN and WILL find someone better than you. Your partner CAN and WILL be able to find someone better than you. There's always someone better than someone. So here's the truth...

IT IS HOW CONTENTED YOU ARE in the person you are with now. Everyone can be your MR. or MRS. right. Unless you learn to be contented with what you have now, no matter how many people you date with, they will never be good enough for you.

However speaking about professionalism, we as human these days, our generation, tends to jump from jobs to job. WHY? answer is pretty simple. It's mostly because they want to find a better pay job of a job with a better offer. Look at your parents, or your grandparents, the previous generations can actually stick to a job for over 20-30 years. They would not jump to another job. I'm not saying that there's no better opportunities for them in other companies, It's because they are contented with what they have. Yes they may complain that their job sucks or anything, but at the bottom line, they will stick to the job. Their loyalty is something we won't be able to get these days.

Why is it so?

Is it cause our generation now is so spoiled with choices till the extent we no longer recognize contentment anymore? Or is it mainly due to greed?

Put our parents in being in a relationship...

Divorce is so common these days unlike the older generations. How come our previous generations were able to keep a marriage for so many years but for us, some could even barely maintain a marriage for 3 years.

My honest opinion is mainly due to contentment.... again.... People are so greedy or really do not know how to see and recognize the good things that they have till they tend to go astray.

Let me tell you my story...I learned to be contented with what I have. Some may know what kind of person I used to be. I am somewhat ashamed of myself as well at certain times. But well, every curve is a learning curve right?

I finally learn to be contented with what I have, who I am with. I know that I can rely on this person with whatever trouble I am at. I know she would stand by me. And of course I would act the same on her behalf as well.

Yes in a relationship or marriage, couples do argue. If there's no arguments in a relationship, then you should be worried. Don't run away or break the relationship mainly coz you guys argued. Argument is something that would bind the relationship stronger. Don't give up on your partner. Maybe they have not given up on you yet. Why should you be the one to pull the plug? When you accept him/her to your life, you should be ready to accept that person for his/her goods and bads. Else why would you bother to begin a relationship let alone a marriage?

This is all I have to say now... Please consider what I have said and search for contentment in every situations. Sometimes, things may turn bad, but don't look at the bad points only, the good points are always in the thin silver lining.

Photography Festival 2008

This weekend KL Time Square hosted this year's Malaysia Photography Festival 2008. It's a place similar like PC fair on every 3 months, but this one sells camera, usually DSLR and accessories like lenses and so on. Not only that, There's also a great deal of photography sessions with models and this year around, featuring Amber Chia.

Before you get to see Amber, here's some shot of the amount of photographers on that event taking pictures of models who waltz the stage showing off their pretty face and excellent body :p

When I arrived, there's literally no place for me to stand around the stage. Some even brought ladders to stand from the back and zoom out with their big ass zoom lense. So I decided to take a floor up and snap my pics using my Zoom lense from the first floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, AMBER CHIA!!

Forgive me for having an aunty behind Amber's pictures. There's no way I could cut her out coz my lense is only up to 50mm then coz we got a place on the first sitting row :p

Wait.... Apart from Amber there's also other models accompanying her. Unfortunately I do not know their names but I find this next girl pretty good. Though I wondered why she did not smile. Later when she did at the end of the show, I only realized why... She didn't really have a perfect set of teeth LOL

After a hectic, hot and stuffy day at the mall, we decided to go home, So Eileen and I left for dinner then I hanged out at her place for a while till I'm tired then heading home... from a eventful day, the least I need is a traffic jam caused by a heavy downpour... =.="

2 Headed Snakes

There are many types of people in this world. Some are understanding, some reasonable, some smart, some intelligently challenged, some hardworking, some lazy and the list goes on and on. Fact is there's always a quality a person lacks on. Only to make them human.

We as human are not perfect and I believe all of you would agree with me on that.

Never the less, we as humans, we have a choice to be what we wanna be. Some chose to be lazy instead of hardworking, some chose to be unreasonable instead of reason. But I feel intelligent is something we can't choose LOL.

The worst kind of people are those who what we asians call, 2-headed-snakes.

These type of people are the main problem that kick starts wars between 2 other people.

These type of 'friends' would come to you and backstab another friend of yours to you. They would say anything just to make you feel angry or pissed off your some of your other friends or even partners or even your wife.

Then on the other hand they would go to YOUR friend or your partner or your wife to backstab you in return. However, in front of you when they are talking bad about your other friends, he/she will say good things about you just so you would feel good.

These are the type of people everyone should get away from. I sometimes just wonder, why would these people CHOOSE to be what they are? Do they really enjoy their friends goes through a cold war amongst themselves because of what he/she had said?

Do you really find joy in other people's misery? I can honestly tell you I'm not stupid. I know what you did behind my back. Yes you know who I'm speaking of. I personally feel these type of people should really burn in hell. I mean now... Immediately... not wait till you die. but the moment you 2 time someone, poof off you go to hell to be burned eternally...

I fucking hate these type of people; well there are other types of people whom I really don't like but it's not as bad as this type. The other type would be hypocrites. Unfortunately we live in a world filled with people like this.
