This new set of stamps has just arrived from the States and is set to be a hot favourite here. If you want one then click here.
I stamped the image on to watercolour paper and used the Tut Art and Graphic pens to colour her in.
There is a little decoupage going on in the finished card. Look closely at the leaves on the tree and the flowers at the front of the card if you want to see it.
The card is finished with some of the beautiful light pink saddle stitch ribbon and some of my useless writing. That's easy to spot as it's the weakest link in the card.
Happy crafting,
Yvonne

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-67342766752244495652009-01-19T14:35:00.003Z2009-01-19T14:44:15.540ZButtons and Bows for Friday Sketch! #45Amy, over on Prairie Ink and Paper has some wonderful sketches and this is the second time that I've taken part. My only problem with her challenges is that she also makes some fantastic cards so I have to work hard to live up to her standard. So it took me two days to come up with this:

I think that many of you who visit my blog will, by now, know all about the Glamour Girls stamps from Time to Stamp, so I shan't go on about them too much.

Other bits and pieces that you might want to know are that the background paper is done with Stazon in stone grey.

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-70390249422218978242009-01-15T17:24:00.006Z2009-01-20T14:58:09.250ZCute Card Thursday Challenge 43 and Time to CraftCute Card Thursday Challenge 43 is now running and, as the challenge theme is humour, I thought that I would enter this. My Time to Craft is also running a challenge: Are you having a laugh? so this is just right for that too.
Now that the wedding season is with us we shouldn’t forget that the anniversaries that are also prolific. So to celebrate that special anniversary with humour I’ve made a lovely card that your friends and relatives will love to get.

If you want to make this card you will need:

1 DL card in pale blue.

The loving couple stamp from our new Flaunt it sheet of unmounted rubber stamps.

1 sheet of white card for stamping the image and the background paper.

Youth is a State of Mind Stamp from the Funny Ladies sheet of stamps.

Art and graphic pens from Kuretake in Pink, Skin Tone, Grey and Blue

Stazon in Stone Grey

What to do:

Use Stazon in Stone Grey to stamp the image on to a piece of white card and trim to size. Colour the image with the pink and blue pens and use a little water to thin the paint to give a paler colour where needed. Edge the card in blue.

Decorate a piece of card with the pink calligraphy from the Heart set that you have edged with the blue pen from the Art and graphic pens from Kuretake. Trim to leave a fairly wide border as seen in the example. Edge the card in blue as you did with the earlier card.

Stick to the base card and use 3d foam pads to stick the loving couple sheet to the card.

Now, use Stone Grey Stazon to stamp the Youth message and again edge in blue. Yes, lots of blue edging here I know but it helps to harmonise the Images.

Use 3d foam pads to stick to the card. Your card is finished.

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-58298079045089835442009-01-14T14:03:00.002Z2009-01-14T14:06:14.518ZBlog CandyThere's Blog Candy to be found over on a lovely blog called Stamps, Paper, Scissors and a Smiling Donkey. Have a look at this Snowman Bag and let me know what you think.

I decorated the bag with a Sizzix snowman die cut that I layered up to give him a little interest. Basically, I've used the same papers and ribbon but the different layout makes a huge change in the finished card. The dinosaur ribbon that I used on the tag can be bought here.

I do hope that you like this effort as I know what a pain it is to make cards for boys and I hope that any slug hunter that gets it will love it too.

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-79181818901148833042008-12-19T22:26:00.000Z2008-12-19T22:27:51.298ZYippee!
I’ve just won a prize on the This Thursday challenge,
http://thisthursday.wordpress.com/2008/12/11/challenge-25-naughty-or-nice/
I am over the moon as the prize is great. So I've used my Fiskars border punch to make the decorative strip underneath the picture.

I've also used the new Shy Bear Bo Peep Stamp from the Merry Stamper.

Yvonne

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-27724909886556981482008-12-10T21:27:00.005Z2008-12-30T20:55:59.296ZSoft FocusI've wanted to make a card with this image for simply ages and when I saw Challenge 42 over on My Time to Craft, and Dawnys Sketch #4 on Paper Take Weekly I knew that it would be just the thing.
I also entered it for the Naught or Nice Challenge on This Thursday its all about... Do you think that it qualifies?

The image comes from the Glamour Girls sheet once again and the background has also been produced with a stamp from the same sheet. So does the cute little sentiment 'Divine' at the bottom of the card. The ribbon is a 7mm wine grosgrain that can be found on the Craft Fairy site by clicking here.

Thanks for looking and, if you like anything that you see, please leave a comment.

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-80393014659588189472008-12-09T22:19:00.002Z2008-12-09T22:23:27.971ZMy Time to Craft Challenge 39
I've just seen this challenge over on My Time To Craft and it's for daisys anywhere on a card so I hope that this one will be just right.

If you want more details on how the card was made then please click here.

Craft Fairyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612325052352540698noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36194975.post-44918541345797880042008-12-08T19:29:00.002Z2008-12-08T19:33:49.589ZKazan's Sketch 15
I've just submitted this pull treat for Kazan's Sketch 15 over on 2 Sketches 4 you.
