Lots of fun cousin times:

{a "Late Night" at Spencer & Tiff's house the other night. They all got their finger nails painted, watched a movie, decorated cookies, and had yummy kid food for dinner. What a fun night to have for all the kids during fall break. Toms loved it!}

{the best part was that we were able to go to the movies, yaya watched Lola and we went to the movies. It was a little weird cause we were the ONLY people in the theatre. Freaky!}
We've also had the opportunity to drive the carpool to preschool, every third week is my turn, and it's a pain trying to figure out how to take three kids ALL in car seats and Lola to school in a civic. Needless to say, I borrow someone else's car to make it work. It sure is fun seeing these cute kids so excited for school! Wouldn't you say?

So how fun that Domestic Bliss got to participate in "The Mannequin is our Muse" Design Project as part of the Scottsdale Fashion Square Grand Opening of their East Wing Stores. Of course, yaya had to purchase a children's camera for Toms when he was wanting to use mine all the time. So we've had it for about a year now and I've never taken the time to empty it out. I finally needed to empty it so he could start fresh and have lots of memory space to play with. Anyway, here are some of the shots taken by my future professional photographer. Enjoy.

Most of the shots recovered were of something like the ceiling or carpet,
so the fact that he actually captured a person smiling in some of them,
is pretty good.

I really must say I have such a wonderful life. I have been blessed with happy, healthy children, a husband who loves us, a beautiful, safe home, great neighbors, close friends, supportive families, the gospel of Jesus Christ and faith in him. ...The list goes on. Here are some fun new pics of the kiddos. Molly let me borrow her camera for a few days so I've been having fun playing with it. It takes such better shots then my little point and shoot. I'm way jealous and want one for myself. Someday. Enjoy!

Update of Lola's Room

I've finished a few more projects around Lola's room so I thought I'd share the update.

I added the chandelier over the chair. I am still in the process of finishing this but at least it's up. I need to add a few more beads and glam it up some more. It used to hang in my kitchen when I was growing up, my mom let me have it for Lola to enjoy. This is what it used to look like.

Lola's Aunt YaYa bought her these perfect little chairs for under her bookshelves. I am absolutely in love with these. Who wouldn't love pink paten leather?

A closer look at the bookshelves. I'm not totally sold on all these accessories but for now it's good. Eventually I will collect all sorts of Vintage cuteness to replace all the random books.

I made her this frame to hold all of her hair bows. I also painted the letters on top and hung the hooks for head bands, binky clips and jewelry.

Then Tyler hung another shelf for me over her Papaya prints. You can never have enough shelving to showcase all your goodies.

So there you go. I still have to take a picture of the finish mobile over the crib. You can see the mobile HERE, but you can't see the crib in this pic. I'll get that done at some point, but you get the idea. Have a great day!

Most Saturdays in the fall are game days for us around here. The kiddos get dressed in their finest Maroon and Gold, the flag flies high and Daddy leaves us around 4:00 to start tailgating. I'm working on finding joy in the fact that Tyler enjoys his college football games so much. I think I'm getting better, it's a process. Anyhow, today is one of those "Game Days", and the kids are looking pretty darn cute, so I had to take some pics and make a quick shout out for the team.

Babystyle is coming back!!! Yippie! I LOVED that store and was so sad when they closed. Yeah, can't wait for it's return. Now if Domino Magazine would also get going again things would be pretty close to perfect!

6 Months, already!

Wow, time flies. I can't believe Lola is already 6 months old. She is growing so fast.

She got two of her bottom teeth about two weeks ago, she's rolling over a lot, sleeping in her own room, giggling all the time and just adding so much joy to our home. She is also getting pretty chunky. She's up to 18 pounds, and it's all in her thighs. I am just in love with her little smile and sweet loves she gives to everyone she meets.

{except Tiff, for some reason she cries when Tiff holds her. I think it's just a fluke, but it's kind off become the family joke now. Poor Tiff, I promise it's not you!}

I'm so glad she's mine!!!!

Date Night

We've been so lucky lately to be able to go out on a few different "Date Nights" with good friends. In August we celebrate a couple of Birthdays so we are always up for dinner to celebrate.

First was Molly's weekend of fun. We ate out at the Kierland Commons at a restaurant called "Bobby's". It was way yummy! Sorry, no pics from that night.

Then it was Tyler's Birthday so I surprised him with a dinner party at "Barrio Cafe" in Phoenix. and can I just say yum! I'm from Phoenix and I hadn't ever been there. What's that about?

Here we all are taking our silly photo that has become somewhat of a tradition. We have so much fun with our peeps. Thanks for making such great dinner conversation. I look forward to going out with them every time. After dinner we headed back to the Theater room for a little catch up of some of "The Office" episodes and some yummy dessert.

Usually it's me on the left, then Darren in the middle with whoever gets the last chair on the end. This night Tim, Tyler and Molly called dibs first. Here they are basking in their glory!

Then the next weekend we went out once again with Tim and Molly, this time to Spinato's. One of our staples. It's been a fun Month with lots of date nights. Can't complain about that.

Crafting Goodness

I've been a busy a little bee working on lots of fun new items to sell and also a few things to teach in my classes at Blissful Living.

Check it all out.

First up, a fun new Mobile to hang over Lola's crib. I plan on making a smaller version of this to teach a class for. This is so whimsical and fun to look at, I just love the way it turned out.

Next Up...

I made this cute message board for my MIL's birthday last month. It a very simple concept and can be custom made with any colors one would like. I think this may be a class also. Practical and cute!

I've also been working on a few new jewelry pieces. These necklaces are my favorite. This will also be a class, hopefully I'll get my schedule up within the next week or so at the Studio. These are very fun and easy to make with any combination of colors you may like. I've made necklaces, broaches, cuff's and hair accessories with these. Such cuteness. I'm working on a few fall looking ones for the Holidays. I can't wait for the season to change!

Summer of '09, Greatest Hits

I figured I'd take a little blogger laxative and spill the memories for everyone.

So. Get. Comfortable.

Here we are on the weekend after the fourth. We go to see our fireworks show on the back nine at Encanto Golf Course. We are right up in the action, it's almost scary how close we sit.

Seriously, we were that close!

We went swimming with my fam for the fourth of July at my Mom's neighbors house. Toms LOVED the water that night.

He could jump in fast enough. He must have gone off the diving board 15 times.

We also attended about a hundred All*Star games for Tyler's nephew's. Cody even made it to State. Good job to all who played. It made for some great entertainment for the family. Hot, but fun!

We hosted a couple different "Spend The Nights" at our place. Toms loves having his cousins come over to play. On this particular occasion we had SEVEN different kids spending the night. Not including our own two. Needless to say it was a full house! It's all about making memories though.

We also went to the public pools a few times. Here we took Toms{of course}, Buffy, Gracie and Emma. They love playing with each other so I try to get them together as much as possible to build their relationship. Buffy is my niece, from my side of the family and the others two are on Tyler's side. They love each other and even refer to each other as cousins. I think it's just so cute! I love 8 year old girls and all the fun they have!

Then we celebrated what would have been the 58th Birthday of my dad. He passed away on his Birthday so every year we get together as a family to celebrate his life and legacy. This year marks the 9th year he's been gone. Crazy how time flies. We sure do miss him.

Next we spent a few different days at the mall playgrounds. Hey, it's cool and it's free! This is Jack, Tessa Toms and Seth {as well as some kid I don't know, apparently the other boys go to school with him}. They have a blast and it occupies them for hours and Tiff and I get to catch up. Good times!

Toms was quite the poser!

Just hanging around the house, A LOT!! Here Toms is playing with Lola. She loves bouncing in her bouncer and he loves watching her.

I finally bought Toms his own pair of big boy scissors. He's been begging for months. So he has his own little set of school supplies. Hey whatever keeps him occupied for 15 minutes at a time is great with me.

We also took Toms to the play place at good ol' McD's. One day we stopped and picked up little miss Provence to join us. They played and ate then played then ate. It was fantastic. They are still too small to climb up the play equipment so they just play around the bottom of it. Perfect, that means I never have to go up there after them. This was the best shot I could get. Toms was being silly and not posing for me. So I picked the one where P looks darling!

Me being bored while they played so I thought I'd play with the camera a bit. and yes, this was the best shot out of like 20. Sad, I know.

Wow, a lot, huh! Told ya. Thanks for all the memories. Goodbye Summer and Hello school year. Too bad we can't say goodbye heat yet!
