Islam tidak hanya mengurus masalah ketuhanan atau ibadah semata. Tetapi ia mengatur seluruh masalah dalam kehidupan ini mulai hal-hal yang besar sampai sekecil-kecilnya, mulai dari pembicaraan mengenai kenegaraan sampai masuk ke dalam kamar mandi. Dari sekian banyaknya persoalan yang diatur oleh Islam di antaranya adalah memakai jilbab atau kerudung. Yang mana dimaksudkan dari perintah ini untuk mencapai tujuan tertutupnya aurat perempuan yang wajib untuk ditutupi. &lt;br /&gt;Adapun menjadi dasar keagamaan perintah ini, surat al-Ahzab ayat 59 yang artinya: “Hai Nabi katakanlah kepada isteri-isterimu, anak-anak perempuanmu dan isteri-isteri orang mukmin: “Hendaklah mereka mengulurkan jilbabnya keseluruh tubuh mereka”. Yang demikian itu supaya mereka lebih mudah untuk dikenal, karena itu mereka tidak diganggu. Dan Allah adalah Maha Pengampun Lagi Maha Penyayang”. &lt;br /&gt;Ayat ini dipandang para ahli tafsir menjadi dasar kewajiban memakai kerudung, yang mana menjadi tunjukkan kewajibannya kepada seluruh kaum perempuan muslimat. Dengan indikasi kata “isteri-isteri orang mukmin”, maka sudah sangat jelas kewajibannya yang seharusnya tidak lagi diperdebatkan. Sekalipun dianggap sebagai pendapat umum dikalangan ulama namun ada juga yang menganggapnya hanya sebagai tradisi dan budaya ara. Dimana pendapat seperti ini sama artinya memandang memakai kerudung bukan suatu keharusan dan kewajiban dalam Islam. &lt;br /&gt;Bagi perempuan muslimat kerudung harus dipahami tidak hanya sebatas sebagai kewajiban semata namun lebih jauh dari itu dengan menganggapnya sebagai kebutuhan. Sehingga kesannya tidak terpaksa dalam memakai karena pada hakikatnya kerudung itu adalah alat untuk melindungi kehormatan mereka dari laki-laki yang tidak benar bukan sebaliknya sebagaimana orang kebanyakan melihatnya menjadi beban dan kesulitan besar. &lt;br /&gt;Dari ayat di atas dapat kita pahami bahwa model kerudung yang dikehendaki Al-Qur’an dengan syarat harus dapat menutupi seluruh tubuh mereka, jadi bukan hanya sebatas melekat pada bahagian kepala saja. Imam Qurtubi menjelaskan dalam tafsir Jami’nya mengenai ayat di atas, bahwa ukuran kerudung itu persis telekung dalam shalat atau dengan kata lain yang dapat menutupi dada mereka. Pada saat sekarang ini kita sudah banyak melihat para pemudi muslimat dan ibu-ibu memakai model kerudung yang dimaksud dalam ayat tersebut. Apakah itu di mall-mall, instansi pemerintah, pusat pasar dan lain sebagainya. &lt;br /&gt;Tetapi belakangan muncul fenomena yang melanda pemakaian para muslimat khususnya di Indonesia yang tercinta ini. Dimana para perempuan muslimat banyak memang yang memakai kerudung tetapi tidak memenuhi syarat yang dimaksud oleh syari’at. Kerudung hanya menjadi model dan style dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bahasa populernya yang dengan kerudung gaul. &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;Di antara bentuk dan tanda kerudung gaul yang sering kita lihat, di antaranya, kerudung hanya menutup kepala tetapi bahagian leher terbuka, kemudian tidak sampai menutupi dada. Tidak hanya itu kerudung pentol korek pun juga ada yaitu memakai kerudung yang dimasukan pada kerah baju sehingga dada masih terlihat.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Agaknya fenomena ini merupakan bahagian dari pengaruh globalisasi yang semakin cepat dan dinamis. Akhirnya kerudung yang pada awalnya dijadikan sebagai alat untuk melindungi kehormatan diri dan dalam rangka memenuhi tuntutan syari’at sebaliknya menjadi kebiasaan seremonial yang tidak lagi memenuhi kriteria syari’at itu sendiri. &lt;br /&gt;Dari itu sangatlah layak perempuan muslimat kita untuk membudayakan kerudung yang betul-betul memenuhi standar syari’at yang bentuknya panjang dan menutupi dada. Dengan begitu lebih terlihat anggun dan terhormat dan otomatis para lelaki hidung belang akan merasa enggan untuk mengganggu mereka. &lt;br /&gt;Paling tidak budaya berkerudung dengan memenuhi standar syari’at tidak sertamerta dapat langsung tersosialisasi di tengah-tengah masyarakat kita. Maka pembelajaran dari dini terhadap anak juga sangat berpengaruh ketika di sudah dewasa. Disamping itu pula keteladan yang diberikan ibu dalam kehidupan rumah tangga sangat menopang berbudayanya kerudung yang Islami tersebut. Kadang kita melihat ada juga hal yang tidak mengenakkan mata, manakala kita melihat para ibu yang mengantar anaknya ke sekolah yang notebenya memakai kerudung atau berbusana muslim. &lt;br /&gt;Namun apabila kita adakan persentasi perbandingan perempuan muslimat kita antara yang memakai kerudung panjang dengan yang gaul ternyata bentuk kerudung gaul tersebut lebih banyak penggemar dan peminatnya. Dari itu perbandingannya masih jauh dari pada yang diharapkan khususnya pada tatapan remaja kita. &lt;br /&gt;Penutup&lt;br /&gt;Al-Qur’an sebagai pedoman hidup yang sempurna dan mulia sudah memberikan bimbingan kepada kita tentang tata cara hidup di dunia ini. Pemerintah memakai kerudung atau jilbab yang tertuang dalam surat al-Ahzab ayat 59 sudah sangat komprehensif mengatur tata cara dan batasan bagi perempuan muslimat dalam memakai kerudung.
