Chris Skalski and Chris Cerchie closed the door on the Jet Box offense. The offense, which did a little of everything, scored 4 runs on a home run and some timely small ball. Josh Masden went 2 for 2 with 2 walks and Adam Lipski hit a home run in the win. The Tigers offense got some timely hitting from Ryan Kottke, Nick Demers and Bob Walmsley to drive in the 4 runs for the Tigers. They did not <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">disappoint</span>. With an offensive explosion in game 1 against the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Manistee</span> Saints and in game 2 against the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Southroyal</span> Royals the Tigers looked good going into game 3. Game 3 proved to be a struggle against the Mt. Pleasant Naked Bats ball club. Andrew joins the Tigers after playing the 2007 season with the WAA of the Can-Am league. Andrew was a stand out player for WAA last year, playing an excellent third base for WAA as well as being one of the best closers in the Can-Am league last year. "We pick up Andrew to play with us in a NABF regional last year and Andrew did an excellent job for us playing 3rd base as well as being a closer. The coaching staff was very impressed with Andrew and when we found out he was looking for another team to play with in 2008, we got in contact with Andrew about playing with the Tigers. Josh Masden, Tigers co-captain, did an excellent job of talking to Andrew and getting him on board with the Tigers for 2008. "Chris was one of the best pitchers in the Can-Am league last summer. The Tigers picked up Chris for two tournaments last year and he did very well for us. We are pleased to add Cerchie to our pitching rotation for 2008. Matt Dillard (Tigers 2006) and Ryan Kottke (Tigers 2006) are both set to play with the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League in 2008. DIllard is a hard throwing relief pitcher who played briefly with the Bums in 2007. Kottke is a solid defensive catcher who played in the United League last year. Both players should be welcomed additions to the Beach Bums roster. Jacob comes to the Tigers from Battle Creek Del Seat. While with Del Seat, Jacob helped guide the team to a 2006 World Series runner-up finish. Pat Giordano comes to the Tigers after a year with the Pontiac Parkers. Pat helped guide the Parkers to a NABF Regional birth in 2007.
