Unsurprisingly, the licence to use the copyrighted background material was denied by Werner Herzog Film GmbH. Unfortunately, however, the master himself - Herzog - didn't see the work. Only the private screening arranged for technology-savvy Roland Emmerich produced the wanted elation. I was neither surprised nor miffed by this! “In 400 years, I’ll overtake Terminator”. I love this statement by Herzog. And repugnance in the face of digital recreations (recreatures) is all too understandable and common.
