Dear sweet Blogger Friends!!! I am so sorry that we have not been keeping up with the blogs the last few months. Aside from the normal chaos of the holidays that keeps us all tied up in knots, we had a death in the family just after Thanksgiving making it even harder to keep up with some things. I have made a New Year's resolution to do better keeping up with the blogs and blogging!! We hope everyone had a great holiday season!! Lilo and I want to wish everyone in our great big blogger family a safe and Happy New Year!!!! We can't wait to catch up with everyone in the new year. And to those that have dropped by to let us know we are missed, THANK YOU!!! We miss all of you too!!

Trick or Treat!!!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!! We got to go up to Grandma and Grandpa's for Halloween. The momma drove for a change because Grandpa said he would be SUPER DUPER, INCREDIBLY NICE and put new brakes on the momma's car. I have a really great Grandpa!!!

So Grandma takes this Halloween thing very seriously. There is a lot of work and presentation that needs to be down before it gets dark and the little monsters start showing up lokking for candy. It was cold, but I agreed to go outside and lend a paw supervising the whole operation.

I was taking my supervising duties quite seriously when the momma suggested that my helping with the decorating might go a long way toward helping everyone forget that I had broken into the my cousins special Halloween treat bags that Grandma had made and tried to help myself to some Whoppers and Starburst =) After all, i was already confined to Grandma's yard after last year's rock eating incident.

I immediately saw the logic in her thinking and jumped right in with my yard decorating expretise!!! I'm quite sure that they couldn't have pulled it all togetehr without me

Ok, maybe Grandma helped out a little =)

This is Grandma and her date for the night! Grandpa's not big on the whole trick or treat thing. He would rather stay in the house and watch football with daddy!! So Grandma got this "guy" to hang out with her =)

Here are the results of the all our hard work!! Grandma's creepy graveyard in the front of the house. There was Marcus the Carcus and the creepy guy in the corner she hasn't named yet.

She also had a fog machine, but it was way to windy for it to work right.

I was the candy inspector!! I had to make sure that it was safe for the little monsters to eat. We wouldn't want to be know as the house that gave out bad candy =)

I was Grandma's devoted assistant. I helped her hand out the candy and got lovin's from all the little monsters.

I was of course rewarded for my efforts. Every assistand deserves to get paid. So I went to the momma and demanded my payment.

I glady accepted an offering of Smartees. The momma was quite generous =)

I very much enjoyed my paycheck =)

The momma wanted to end with the picture daddy took of me sleeping on her lap while she drove home, but he keeps forgetting to send it to her =P

Oh well, any picture of me is cute =)

Thankful Thursday!!

I'm baack, I'm baack, I'mback,I'mback,I'mback!!!!!! Can you feel the excitement coming off my paws!!!! I'm so happy to be back!!!!! I missed everyone so while I was sick. Being a sick puggie is so no fun!! I do not recommend it. Can you believe when the momma took me to see Dr. K that she had the nerve to ask if anything was missing around the house???????? How rude!! Eat one lousy rock and your branded for life =)

So since today is Thankful Thursday, the momma and I wanted to show our thanks for all the comments, prayers and well wishes that all my wonderful blogger friends sent me by spreading the word about another puggy in need and introducing a new blogger friend to the world!!!

First up is Stella & Gunther.

They posted about Landon. Landon is a foster in need of rehab and surgery. He was very lucky to be saved from a shelter by Pugs 'n Pals of Southern California and now needs lots of love and care. Pugs 'N Pals is selling Yankee candles to help raise money to cover the costs of Landon's surgery and care. You can read poor Landon's story on Stella and Gunther's page and you can check out the candles here! Who doesn't love candles with a cause?!?!?!?

Now for introductions of our newest Indy blogger buddy, TicTac.

Little Miss TicTac is most definitely the Alpha female in her pack. Oh, wait, she is the only female!!! She's quite fiesty and knows how to keep the brood in line. Please go over and give her and her 4 brothers a warm blogger welcome!! 4 brothers, can you believe that??? And now is there is a 5th as her momma and daddy are fostering!!

And last, but NEVER least, please keep our wonderful friend Miss Molly O'Mally in your thoughts. She's havin peeing problems and her momma called her a geriatric and her brother Hank called her an old bird or old girl. Neither one is very nice! Her momma got her some special food adn some pills that will hopefully help her out. But until she's all better, let's keep her in our thoughts!!!!

Finally Friday!!!

Not only is it Friday, but I got word this morning that Lilo has turned back into a "FOOD MACHINE." She started showing an interest in food last night, but only for green beans and yogurt treats. Luckily, both of those are pretty easy on her stomach. However, the phone call I got at lunch informed me that she is back to eating anything put in front of her. I guess that means Madie won't get any more Lilo rejects. =)

She even jumped on my lap last night to play Piranha Pug before the Benadryl kicked in adn she climbed back in her crate to sleep.

I put her in bed with me last night and she did not move from about 9:45pm when we laid down and midnight when the daddy got home and let her out. If she slept like that all the time, she would get to spend a lot more nights in the big bed!!!

So it looks like the momma's sweet baby is well on her way back to being her normal, rotten self!!!

Now onto new stuff =) This little cutie above is not, unfortunately, the newest addition to our family. His name is Oisin and he and his momma are from Ireland!! We wanted to extend them a big, warm blogger WELCOME!!!!! We can't wait to see what kind of stuff this pup and his momma get into together.

Thankful Thursday

I wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone that has commented or checked in, not only here on the blog, but on my Facebook page as well. The amount of support over the last 24 hours has been amazing and I am grateful. As I've talked about Lilo being sick, people will roll their eyes and I have heard comments about are you talking about a person? Some people have a hard time grasping the idea that some of do really love our pets. For me, I don't have human children. Lilo is my baby and the thought of anything happening to her is devestating. I am so grateful that I can log on here and know that everyone understands exactly how I feel!!!! It makes things seem a little easier to deal with.

Now for an update on The Rock Eater: The vomitting stopped about 9:30 lst night. We took her to another vet as ours is closed on Wednesdays. They gave her an antinausea shot that really didn't seem to work. We got about 3/4 of a cup of water with her antobiotic disolved in it into her. We also got a Benadryl into her. About half an hour later, she was lying on the couch breathing easily and peacefully. She slept through the night and gladly rolled over for belly rubs this morning when I checked on her!! Unfortunately, I had to go back to work today. Ryan told me this morning that while she was still turning down food, she attacked the water bowl and did her camel pug impression. She went out adn pottied 3 times and was even feeling frisky enough to kick up some dirt when she was done =). I will tempt her with food again when I get home and hopefully, she will eat. I'm not asking for a full meal, just something!!!
Thank you all again for unfailing support, thoughts and prayers!!! They are so very appreciated!

I'll leave you with one of my favorites. She looks like she's about ready to sass me as Walter and Heather would say.

Worried Wednesday - Sick Pug Edition

The momma here. I've taken over the blog today as Lilo is sick. I am, to say the least, worried. The last time she ate and kept food down was dinner Monday night. I took her to the vet last night and they gave us an antibiotic and said it looked like the onset of a respritory infection. My fear, of course, was that she had eaten something again. We are coming up on the one year anniversary of her great rock eating escapde!! I came home from work at noon today and for a little while thought we might be on an up swing, but not so much. I got half a Benadryl, her morning antibiotic (the daddy gave it to her this morning and she waited until we left to spit it back out) and some peanut butter into her today. My joy at those feats was short lived. She is once again sluggish and sickly. I want to believe that the vet is right and it's just a respritory infection that the antibiotics will treat, but it's hard. When she inhales, I can see her whole body shake. When I let her out to potty, she goes and hides under a pile of brush like its her den or something. I don't know what to do or what to think. Right now, we are just watching her.

The hiding in the brush started this morning when I didn't let her in right away after she peed.

I hate to ask any more from all of you than I already have, but if you would just keep Lilo in your thoughts I would really appreciate it. I will keep you updated if anything changes.

My Momma Loves ME!!!!!

Now, I know what you're asking yourselves. How could the momma NOT love this face!! I know right, but this time the momma was really lovin' me!!! How you ask? With this!!!!!

The momma got out the noise machine and made popcorn!!!! Warm, wonderful, fluffy popcorn!! She doesn't bring out the noise machine very often, but when she does we're ready!

I waited patiently for the bowl of fluffiness to arrive.

You can't begin to imagine how patiently I waited for the momma and the popcorn.

Even Madie managed to wait patiently for our wonderful treat.

I even allowed the momma to share with Madie!! It was the least I could do.

Momma, um hello, we're still here. Are we going to get more poppycorn? I mean, I know you shared and all, but don't you think you should share some more? Really, look at us!! We're wasting away to nothing. This is a crime you know?

I did my duty as a proper watch dog and I watched to make sure the popcorn didn't get stolen or eaten by anyone else.

I watched from multiple angles just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I was quite diligent in my duties.

I flexed all my muscles to make sure the popcorn was safe from possible poachers.

Alas, for all my hard work I did not get any more poppycorn. Oh well, we enjoyed it while it lasted.

Kitchen Caper =)

I'm baaacckk!!! I finally got the momma to blogging, but by the time I realized what she was blogging about, it was to late to stop her. Can you believe she's ratting me out on the internet? Where's the love? (The momma apologizes for the not so great phone pictures. When you are trying to catch "guilty" pug, you have to use what's closest.)

Here I am looking sweet and innocent. Asking the momma if she needs any help in the kitchen. See, I'm a good pug =)

This is the portal. The Gate blocks entry to the cat food, litter boxes, trash bags and laundry. The kitties can get low enough to get under the gate to get to food. Lilo's and Maddie's can not get that low. I have gotten under it a few times, but my tail usually catches the bar and alerts EVERYONE to what I am up to.

What is this? Some foolish person has left The Gate down. Could be possible or are my eyes playing tricks on me. Here is my chance to once again try to figure out how to get to the cat dish.

I know the darn thing is back here somewhere!! I always here the kitties eating back here. Where the heck is the bowl?!?!?!?! (The bowl is on top of the house to her right)

Can't find the bowl, maybe I can find the leftovers. At Grandma's house, I get to eat whatever the kitties knock on the floor, so it should be the same here right? I'm sure those three left something behind!!

BUSTED!!!! I can't believe I didn't hear her coming!! How embarassing to get caught and not have anything to show for it. As if that's not bad enough, then the momma announces "If the pug is out, The Gate must be up!" WTF?!?!?!!? Who died and made her queen?

So I must now turn my attention to something better. The open dishwasher =) See, not everyone rinses off everything before they put it in the dishwasher. So every once in awhile, the momma gets distrated while loading the dishwasher and I get the chance to check it out!!

MMMMMMMMM!!!!! Garlic chicken!!! The momma didn't share when she cooked, I'll get my tastes now! That was some good stuff. There's enough garlic left on the spatula to keep the fleas away for months!!!!! Good stuff =)

That blur would be me running when I heard the momma come around the corner and catch me with my tongue in the dishwasher. I quickly evaded her grasp and hid in the pug cave. I'm usually safe there. The momma doesn't invade my space to much! Unless she thinks the bed needs cleaned. Again, don't know who died and made her queen! Next thing you know, she'll be walking around yelling "Off with their heads!"

All that sneaking around sure wears a puggy out!!! I need a nice long nap after all that. But before I start snoring, I wanted to give you all an Uncle Denny Update. He is having good days adn bad days. The surgeon wants to do one more test to make sure his gall bladder really is sick before they operate. Somethign about not wanting to take anything out that still works. I don't know. They gave him some happy pills that I'm sure Aunt Vikki gives him a marshmellow or piece of cheese like we get =) If not, he should start making demands!! So drop by and visit the Posse and keep sending him healing thoughts with lots of love and kissses!!!

Lazy Momma

The momma has been plain lazy lately when it comes to letting me blog. She get home and starts doing other stuff and next thing I know it's bed time. WTF!?!?!?!? She really needs to get on the ball before I start looking for a new typer of the blog.

Do you know what she did on Satruday?? Instead of staying home with me and cuddling while she caught up on blogs, she went and spent the night with the Pug Posse. Can you believe she and the daddy went to see the Posse and left me at home? I was floored that she went and spent the night with them while I slept here alone. How the heck does that work?

The momma says that she was helping the Posse parents and that I need to learn to share. I say she should have taken me with her. She just shook her head and mumbled something about 7 pugs in the bed was enough. There's no such thing as enough pugs!!! =)

The momma and daddy did come home on Sunday and spent some quality time with me (FINALLY). I napped with the momma and then I spent the rest of the night curled on the momma's lap while she read and watched Da Bears win!!!!

In all it was a good weekend. Hope everyone else had a good weekend!!

Now I just have to start nipping at the momma's heels and get her on the ball!!!

First up is Sequoia & Petunia. They are competing to be calendar pugs for the Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue!! The voting is free and closes today, so we need everyone to go vote for the girls!!!! We want them to be calendar pugs like our friends Harry.

Next up is Chester. Chester is trying to raise money for shelters through the Cesar and Ilusion Millan Foundation Photo Contest. Chester is such a handsome pug, we can't wait to see him appearing with Cesar!!! Donation are a $1 each with a minimum of 5 votes. All the proceeds go to help dogs in need.

Charity Paw It Forward

The momma here. Lilo is sitting here pouting because I have choosen to take over the blog today to post the results of the charity Paw It Forward.

Lilo does want me to thank everyone for their show of support yesterday on the Wordless Wednesday post. She was in fact innocent on the charge of eating Grandpa's Mexican wedding cakes.

Bijou was right. Her daddy was eating Grandpa's wedding cakes and when I said something, he wiped the powdered sugar on poor little Lilo and sat her in the big chair!!! Poor baby =)

Paw It Forward!!!!!

Momma, what is this box??? Have you been keeping things from me? I can't believe you opened MY Paw It Forward box from the TN Bull Terrors!!!! How dare you!!! I don' care if the box was taped shut and Iwould have needed help anyway. You could have at least waited until I asked for help! =(

It is for me isn't it? Of course it is, who else would it be for?!?!?!?

Just because I don't have thumbs, don't think I can't this stuff out of here. I'll show you who needs help! I can do this all by myself.

See, look!!! All strung out on the big bed just like it should be.

I have to spread it all out so I can get a good look at my new stuff. And it is mine! I don't have to share with Madie do I? =P

Life is sweet for the pug!!!

WTF!!!!!! Where did my goodies go???? Momma, what did you do wiht my stuff?!?!?! It's mine and you took it!!! WHERE ARE THE GOODIES?!?!?!?!?!?

Oh, there they are. The momma ha to take them away so she could get pictures of everything. I might have been a little spastic about getting more goodies. Not a lot, just a little =)

Look, I have my own squirrel!!!! I'll still play with Gus' when I visit the Posse, but at least now I have my own to go home too!!! Plus the Bull Terrors send me two new stuffies, a rubber squeakie toy, a beef chew and treaty treats!!! What more could a girl ask for?

Now for the Paw It Forward part.

See the momma and I have been havin' some heart to hearts talks lately (well, the momma talks and I just tilt my head from side to side and look wise) and we have an idea we would like to share.

Normally, when you play Paw It Forward, you pick 3 lucky puppies from your comments and you send them presents. But lately, the momma has been seeing more and more pleas for help from rescues and shelters because of the over crowding or the animals coming with extensive problems that will need lots of medical attention. So the momma had an idea that she hopes everyone will like. Instead of picking three puppy friends to send presents too, she want us to pick three rescues or shelters to make much needed donations too. When you leave a comment on my Paw It Forward post, we would like you to include the name of the rescue or shelter you support. On Sunday, the momma will put all the names we get into a pile adn draw out three to make donations too.

I know this isn't how Paw It Forward usually goes, but the momma and I thought maybe we could spread the love and give puppies that don't have loving mommas and daddies like we do a helping paw.

Puppy Love & Prayers

We are asking everyone to go visit our new friend Woodrow at NY Bully Brats!!! Woodrow is very sick with MRSA and has become resistant to the antibiotics. He needs all the love and kisses we can send him right now.

Please go over and send him lots of get well prayers and love!!!! We are praying for him to recover so he can go back home to his family. So lets do what we do best and send all the healing vibes we can his way.

I made the momma do a short post to help send pug love and kisses to Pearl and her momma!! Little Miss Pearl had emergency surgery for her bladder today. Surgery is no fun, but emergency surgery is even worse!!
