"You know the way that I feel."

Remember, this is the same Rex Ryan who, after Matt Ryan smoked the Jets in the final two minutes in week 15, said that there was no chance they could make the playoffs. Now i'll save my bitch that this game is played in between the BCS games instead of say December 21st for another day what I want to comment about is the fact that so far 3 of the 4 "big time" BCS games have been shitfest. Only the Rose Bowl was consistently entertaining. Florida skullfucked Cincinnati and TCU-Boise and Iowa-Georgia Tech were insomnia cures. But the little bowl game in Mobile featuring two teams from the MAC and Sun Belt turned out to be an absolute doozy. It's a shame ESPN forgot the first rule of broadcasting always assume your viewership cares about your broadcast. Instead of calling the Central Michigan-Troy game and giving it the proper attention a 44-41 game in double overtime deserves they kept talking about the BCS national title game. It wasn't until the end of the game when a good game became great that they decided to spend some time talking about the two teams putting on such a spectacular show.

The GMAC bowl reminds me of the time you go to see 4 big budget blockbusters in a row that leave you cold then you go see that small budget movie that gets little hype and it's so much better. Tonight we get the biggest blockbuster of them all and boy as it been hyped. However once again We will leave the theater disappointed and wanting to revisit that cute little film we saw the night before. It won't be close tonight kids. Alabama doesn't win by 50 because they show compassion. but they still win 38-10.

Sam Mendes to direct Bond 23?

For the Count: the latest update on the next 007 movie.

Sam Mendes is engaged in discussions to become the next Bond maestro, potentially making him the first Oscar winner ever to direct England’s suavest spy.

The “American Beauty” director is actually an old friend of Bond leading man Daniel Craig and introduced the actor to wider American audiences by casting him in the 2002 film “Road to Perdition.” "Bond 23" already has Peter Morgan, Oscar nominee for “The Queen” and “Frost/Nixon,” scripting moody character turns for 007, alongside Bond screenwriting stalwarts Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. MGM declined to confirm the report.

I'd personally love to see Paul Greengrass (The Bourne series and United 93) or...wait for it...Quentin Tarantino (Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction) take a crack at a Bond picture, but Mendes would be interesting as well. a Question for the Count: Who should be the next bond Girl and which artist/band should do the theme song to the next Bond movie?

From the Count: Comes out June 15th. I got the cup when we went and saw the remake of The Longest Yard in Harrisburg on our Honeymoon.

Did I call it? Did I call it? You come out and your team is about to piss it's pants and you are calling nothing but passes. Boise State intercepts a pass and runs it back for a touchdown. You have to call plays to calm your team down.

TCU is completely rattled. Rattled bad. Might not be a bad idea for Gary Patterson to call a Time Out and get the players around him.

Or they could try and run the ball.

Why is the roof closed when it's 70?

Boise State talks a lot of shit.

Big 10 officiating crew. The lead ref looks to be about 98 years old.

Fuck AT&T and Verizon

TCU gets away with obvious pass interference and the crowd boos.

Boise State QB Moore scrambles out for about 20 minutes on third down and finds a guy wide open.

Man Nebraska would have schooled this TCU team playing like they are right now. Just sayin.

Biggest play of the game so far. TCU has to get a stop here on 3rd and 16.

Boise State gains 7 yards and now we get a field goal

He missed it. HUGE for TCU. do they settle down?

Oh looky there they call a run play and it gains 6 yards

Boise State blizes, TCU's offensive line throws look out blocks. Boise State blows up TCU's QB and he's hurt.

TCU's QB should be ok I think he just got his bell wrung.

TCU punts the ball straight up in the air.

The camera men are in love with TCU's dance team.

TCU QB will be back in.

That looked like Nebraska running the option...this year.

Really good possession for TCU's defense. They may start to settle down.

TCU's offense however still with their heads up their asses.

And the first quarter is over 7-0 Boise State

Fuck you Earl Ben Nelson.

If it stopped them from torturing us would you want the Ranger or Nooner water-boarded?

Boise State dominating the line of scrimmage and out hustling TCU

I bet that Jerry Hughes' family stands out in Sugar Land Texas.

Boise State should go for this 4th and 2 on the TCU 25. They are going for it.

First down Boise State! 5 yard pass. Great call

I love how no matter who makes the play they show TCU's cheerleaders

Another huge play 3rd and 12. Boise State is kicking TCU's ass but they haven't as yet turned their superiority into a cushion. And incomplete and another field goal attempt.

36 yards and it's good. Right down the middle. 10-0 Boise State.

Does this Douchebag ordering the 89 cent burrito from Denise not see the signs everywhere that say 89 cent burrito?

OK TCU time to show something.

Yeah TCU is just shitting right down it's own leg on national TV.

Man fantastic punt from TCU. That punt was Alex Henery good.

Boise State gets out of a jam on a pass that gets the ball out of their endzone.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE ,TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CALL. Boise State just chucks it up for grabs, Boise State receiver actually pulls the TCU cornerback down the Boise State receiver gets up flapping like a bird the ref calls pass interference on TCU. Horrible call. Pathetic.

I have to admit the Boise State players are starting to rub me the wrong way. They are just too punk ass.

There you go TCU. zone read and a first down.

TCU has to hurry up their is just 57 seconds left.

Touchdown TCU! HUGE! Nice! 10-7 Boise State

And it's halftime and a game. 10-7 Boise State

No neither of these teams look like a national title contender.

$50 gets you a yearly membership to Lou Dobbs new website.

BTW I really want this...

Yes I really am only in my 30's.

Current temperature in Omaha is 9 below.

We have a new troll on Newshounds or an old one with a new name. he wreaks of and old troll...

Name one. What you MEANT was that some people don't have access to the private property of others, i.e. they haven't (yet) been able to enslave their neighbors to pay their bills for them. Now I get it. When you say "access" you're talking about the parasites getting handouts.

Posted by: New Millionaire on Mon 1.4 10:10pm

Brett Favre: Best. They let the TCU player come free and they threw it to a tight end in a vacated zone. that was gorgeous.

Another first down and Boise State has some mojo now.

Wide open down to the 2. Boise State just chucked it deep out of bounds. The Announcers are questioning that play calling as well.

Boise State punts it this time and it's a low long drive that TCU returns for 39 yards to the Boise State 32.

Pass dropped! How huge was that dropped touchdown pass? You hate it when one kid will get singled out as a goat. he'll have a hard enough time living it down. by himself. I hope if Boise State wins he does not have a facebook account.

Third down and a 1st down completion for Boise State. They're not even playing for that. New York players should be ashamed of themselves for their pitiful performance in this half. This team has just, flat-out, given up.

* New England is beating Houston, but have lost Wes Welker for the game. Not good news for the Patriots. He'll be a huge key for Tom Brady if they want to go far in the playoffs.

* With running back Joshua Cribbs playing the way he is these last few weeks, he'll be the breakout player come next year. Now if the Brown could dump Eric "Augustus Gloop" Mangini, hire a qualified head coach, and get some solid wide outs for Brady Quinn, and Cleveland might turn some heads come next year.

* To quote Lenoard "Bones" McCoy from Star Trek: If you wanna ride in the Kentucky Derby, you don't leave your prized stallion in the stable." Josh McDaniel's decision to bench Broncos WR Brandon Marshall is basically what he's done. Should Denver lose today against Kansas City, fans and the media will look to his decision and say in unison, "Josh McDaniels, what the hell were you thinking!?"

More thoughts:

* Welker will miss the playoffs with a torn ACL. Tom Brady has a cracked rib. Is anyone really afraid of Brady and Belechick this year?

* The Broncos are who we thought they were...an overrated team with an arrogant head coach. Denver gets spanked by by the Chiefs, and for the second time, the Donkeys start off well, then have an epic meltdown when it maters most. And to add insult to injury, Brandon Marshall will probably be out of Denver soon. Thanks, Denver; we couldn't have won our 4th consecutive AFC West title without you.

* I don't know what's more pathetic: the 30-0 ass-kicking the Jets are handing to the Bengals, or the fact they're about to get into the playoffs because two teams shut it down when they locked up their respective divisions? New York's defense is outstanding, but Mark Sanchez is still just a rookie who makes a lot of mistakes.

Who would Jesus torture?

For a self-proclaimed man of God, Mark Noonan is constantly proving he is any but. His defense of waterboarding is just further proof.

Actually, torture works quite well - always has. Whether you are trying to get the truth out of a person or force them to agree to a lie, the almost invariable outcome is success. Some people do weather the storm and never break - but they also end up dead. Some, also, try to insert false bits of information in to their interrogations but, eventually, the truth or the desired lie will be tortured out of them, or they’ll die.

The reason we don’t torture isn’t because it doesn’t work, but because it is wrong to do it. And I know you can bring forth all sorts of people do say it doesn’t work - in response, I advise you to read The Gulag Archipelago and get back to me. And you also need to think - put yourself in the position of a person about to be tortured and figure how long you could withstand it. Unless you can state with firmness “until death”, then torture is going to work on you.

Waterboarding is harsh and, if you wish, you can even call it torture - but, it worked. As I’ve stated before, no captive terrorist has a right to remain silent. All such must tell us everything they know, and if they won’t do it voluntarily then they must be compelled to do it. This isn’t a child’s game and its not an episode of Law and Order - this is real life dealing with people who are wicked and wish to do evil because they enjoy it.

What the hell is wrong with you, Mark? In all seriousness? Read my lips: waterboarding is widely considered as torture. It's not just me who's spouting this. It's also the Department of State, and the United Nations as well. What does it say to the rest of the world when we engage in similar tactics that we would expect from members of Al-Qaeda or other degenerates? Will they think we're doing all these tactics in the name of security? Or will they think to themselves, what's the difference between the two factions? Also, enlighten me this: what would your messiah think if Jesus could see what his so-called "followers" were doing under his banner?

But of course, its not the first time your claims of being a God-fearing man have come into contradiction with your fucked-up, twisted ideals.

Kill them all and let God sort them out.

These are harsh words but, an effective military strategy. Our enemy must be defeated. The leaders of Islamic lands understand that their people must be brought to their knees and forced to capitulate hence, the despot. We're dealing with people that are wiling to strap bombs on their bodies to kill a few noncombatants to grab a headline.

They hide behind their children in the schools, behind God in their houses of worship, and behind their women in the civilian population to creep out and strike whom, those who cannot strike back in the vast majority of cases.

Moreover, the moderates are surprisingly quiet in condemnation of the radicals’ tactics. (Comment: maybe it's because they'll end up dead if the moderates condemn the radicals?) In fact, in the company of their own, most sing praises to them. Hate is taught is their schools and there is little or no effort by the moderates to change this. The blatant surreal hatred of the Jew is held not only by the radical but by the moderate also and passed on generation after generation to what end?

So, who is the guilty party or parties? Is the man or men whom could have stopped it but, who instead stand by and watches one atrocity after another committed against the helpless innocent? No, he or they are responsible and should be held to accounts.

Total war is the only answer and is coming sooner or later. The body count will be lower the sooner it comes so, isn't that the human course of action? Yes, if we wait our enemy will grow stronger. What of the fate of our own? Limited war expose our fighting forces to acts of terroristic actions they would not subjected to in a total war effort and extends their exposure to the enemy. Are we not collectively responsible for them as well? Absolutely, and this is where our allegiance must lie. Why should we put the welfare of the enemies’ families before our own son and daughter fighting in the armed services? We shouldn't!

I have pity for your poor, misguided soul, Mark.

Week 17 in the NFL: Loose Ends Edition

On the NFC side we know that the Saints will have home-field advantage thought the playoffs. We know that the Eagles, Cowboys, Vikings, Packers, and Cardinals will be in the postseason. All that's left is which teams get which seed. The game to look for on Sunday is the NFC East, winner-take-all contest between Philadelphia and Dallas. Other games to look for are Minnesota vs. the woeful Giants and Arizona vs. Green Bay.

The AFC is still complicated. Although the Colts and Chargers have wrapped up first-round byes and the Bengals and Patriots have won their respective divisions, the issue returns to the Wild Card. Seven teams (Steelers, Dolphins, Broncos, Texans, Jets, Ravens, and Jaguars) are all competing for two more spots. Here are the list of possible scenarios for each of the seven teams to get in, as mapped out by Yahoo sports. The most simple one is the following: The Jets and Ravens win, they're in, and everyone else can sit on their asses and wait til next season.

Here are my predictions for the big match-ups in the season finale of 2009 regular season of the NFL(predicted winners are in bold):

Giants vs. Vikings - Minnesota is in disarray, as if Monday Night's overtime loss to the Bears wasn't enough of a wake up call. Brad Childress and Brett Farve aren't getting along, with each side trying to control the Offensive plays. Did I mention the Secondary ha played poorly in their last three games? The good news? The New York Giants suck, and should win handily, and wrap-up the no.2 seed. The bad news? If they face either Dallas, Philadelphia, or Green Bay in the Divisional round, I don't see how they would stand a chance.Vikings.

Eagles vs. Cowboys - The game that should be on NBC's Sunday Night Football this week, but got moved thanks to Colts head coach Jim Caldwell. Two heated rivals battling for a home playoff spot in next weeks Wild Card Weekend, and maybe more. Philadelphia wins, and they capture the NFC East crown, and the no.2 seed. Dallas wins, and they would take the crown, and the no.3 seed. It'll be a great game to watch, and I expect both Tony Romo and Donnovan McNabb to perform brilliantly, but i'm giving the edge to the Cowboys. Guys like DeMarcus Ware, Igor Olshansky, and Keith Brooking will make big stops against this high-powered Eagles offense, and I think they'll be playing for atonement for last year's atrocious 44-6 beat-down. Cowboys.

Packers vs. Cardinals - It all depends on which Arizona team decides to show up. Will it be the team we saw made last year's dream run to the to Super Bowl XLIII, or will it be the team that got blown out by rival San Francisco in Week 14? Add to it, how well the Packers have been playing after starting 4-4 and marvelous performances by QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Ryan Grant, WR Donald Driver, LB Clay Matthews, and CB Charles Woodson this year, it adds up to Green Bay taking care of business on the road. Packers.

Bengals vs. Jets - In a perfect world, the Jets, along with the other six teams vying for a playoff berth, wouldn't be qualified for the very reason that the group wouldn't be able to hang with Indy, San Diego, New England and Cincy in the postseason. And going up against the league's 4th ranked in total defense with a rookie QB that makes too many mistakes, this should be a rout. Then again, San Diego made the postseason last year going 8-8 and upset Indy in overtime at home, and rookie QB Joe Flacco made it all the way to the AFC title game against the Steelers. Stranger things have happened before in this league. That, and I think Cincy rests key starters to get ready for the playoffs. Jets.

Ravens vs. Raiders - Call it Flacco's sophomoric slump, or call it sloppy, careless mistakes by the team in certain games, Baltimore is a disappointing 8-7, but they still control their destiny in the playoff picture. Going up against Oakland should be cakewalk, except for the fact that they've kicked the ass of playoff bound and competing teams such as the Bengals, Eagles, Steelers, and Broncos. I'm pulling for the Ravens, for the sole reason that I don't want to see the Donkeys or the Steelers getting in. Ravens.

Real Time Thoughts For The SUGAR Bowl

I called it the Orange Bowl earlier my bad.

Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick. Are your announcers.

Oh God Cincinnati going with brand new all White uniforms. Did they not see the Holiday Bowl and how well the new all white look did for Arizona? It allows me to repeat I have never seen a Uniform change ever effect a game. Yeah Nebraska wore throwback uni's against Louisiana Lafayette but that had been planned for months and they won 55-0. Anybody who thinks uniforms had anything to do with the outcome of that game is nuts.

Hey it's the All State guy.

Here we go: This better be good or I may just listen to it and play PS 3

Yeah just eat Taco Bell and watch how much weight you lose.

These results aren't typical...no shit.

I may send the Contessa out for nachos and tacos so I can lose some weight.

Cincy clearky grabbed the face mask they threw the flag then said no foul. That was far more blatant then the one they called on Oregon.

Billick this is as simple as a screwdriver. Then he calls Florida the University of Minnesota.

Florida moved there was a whistle Cincy stopped and Florida got a long run. I can tell already this game is going to be well officiated.

Touchdown Florida.

Extra point is blocked it's 6-0 Florida

I would be lying to you if I said I was watching this game closely.

Tebow cam? Are they shitting me?

Field Goal for Florida 9-0

Yeah that's the end of the first quarter and quite frankly If I don't see something soon from the 'nnati I am out of here.

Yeah I am out of here. if this game gets better maybe I'll be back.

Rose Bowl Real Time Thoughts

Oregon Vs Ohio State

The Referee for the Rose Bowl is Scott Novak from the Big 12 and he and his crew are TERRIBLE! No way do these officials get these gigs based on merit.

Announcers The White Skinned Storm Trooper Brent Musberger and Kirk Herbstreit. Lisa Salters on the sidelines.

This is one of Oregon's better uniform combinations.

I picked Ohio State but I have been hedging lately. Although the Pac 10 has been awful so far this bowl season.

Ohio State making this first drive look easy.

I have to admit that TV today has been splendid. Football and Barney Miller. If you want to know what the world would be like if the Count were in charge that is pretty much it.

Touchdown but didn't he step out?

Great job picking the announcers ABC. Todd Blackledge calling the Penn State game and Kirk Herbstreit calling the Ohio State game. No conflict of interest there huh?

Ruling on the field stands. touchdown Ohio State.

Oregon has the look of a team that's about to shit their pants.

They just ran my favorite commercial. The guy whips out the credit card and takes his dad to Norway then they find out they're from Sweden so he whips out the credit card again and books tickets to Stockholm. Not once do they ever mention paying for the trips. Just whip the credit card and don't worry about it.

Oregon needed that. punt downed at the 2. This is what you questioned about Oregon would they be to hyped or just flat scared shitless.

Scott Frost the former Nebraska QB is on the Oregon coaching staff. He may need to suit up.

Ok we do not need to replay every single play. I told you these officials blow.

10-0. The White Skinned Storm Trooper wondered if Ohio State Kicker's hurt. 10-0.

WSST is starting his drunken babble.

HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE play for Oregon. they were on the verge of get Arizona'd and they broke a 37 yard run to the Ohio State 20.

Quarter Over 10-0 Ohio State

I have just one thing to say about Navy's 35-13 victory over Missouri yesterday after all of the bitching Missouri fans did about the Texas Bowl being beneath them...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh man do those shows look shitty. Thank You WGN for giving us the New Years gift that is Barney Miller. 10 degrees right now.

Oregon pisses away their first touchdown opportunity and now will kick a field goal. 10-3.

Contessa just asked if this was the college we saw and saw their football field. Nope That was Oregon State.

Like the Oregon Cheerleaders

Oregon is too fast for that reverse shit. Ohio State needs to be Ohio State and not do that funky reverse shit.

For the first time Oregon's defense starts to take over and out flank the Ohio State's offensive line they get a 3 and out

Great Kick Return for Oregon. Looks like they have cleaned the skid marks out of their Underoos. Now they need a TD.

That looked like Bill Callahan football from Oregon right there. Move the running back in the backfield from side to side to confuse the defense, confuse yourself and jump before the snap.

Oregon going for it on 4th and 9 and...They say first down.

Oregon gaining confidence. We knew they were faster and more athletic than Ohio State the only question was between the ears. Early on that was a problem but they are calming down.

Here comes Blunt. I wonder who he'll punch this game.

That's a touchdown. But remember this is a crew or morons.

After further review Touchdown! 10-10

Brent tries to make a bad joke. hahahahahaha! you're so funny White Skinned Storm Trooper.

Really bad face mask call on Oregon! gives Ohio State a first down on what would have been fourth down. Oregon grabbed the face mask but did not hold on. If the grab is not blatant it should not be called and that wasn't.

Clutch! Terrell Pryor with a first down toss on 3rd down. At some point I'll call him Richard Pryor or Aaron Pryor.

Doctor Dre, Gene Simmons, Julius Erving and me all throwing down The Dr. Pepper.

Now this has been a great game. fast moving ebbs and flows. Ohio State started fast, Oregon settled down now Ohio State is coming on again.

Pryor almost threw an Interception in the end zone there but it fell incomplete and Ohio State got a field goal 13-10.

That's close but I think they got it right. I would challenge this if I were Ohio State.

Well...Oregon just gave Ohio State a chance to put more points on the board. Ohio State should go for broke here. there's still time to come back and complete a pass to get in Field Goal Range,

They did but Pryor couldn't find anyone open and threw it away.

25 yard completion. Does Ohio State have a field goal kicker?

Herbstreit is right, Pryor wastes too much time.

That official standing by Oregon coach Chip Kelley is Kelley Saalfeld he played for Nebraska.

A 45 yard field goal to end the half for Ohio State... it's good.

Great half 16-10 Ohio State at Halftime.

They have got to find away to restructure these bowl games to where January is once again reserved for the best bowl games. I mean they don't have to be BCS but no way should the International Bowl or The Liberty Bowl be held in January.

OK I was on the phone with a friend. I missed a Oregon touchdown and a Ohio State field goal. Pryor had a wide receiver wide open but missed him. 19-17 Ohio State great game. May make up for the dud I expect the Orange Bowl coming on next will be.

Boy the kick return defense for both teams sucks ass.

HUGE HUGE HUGE

Oregon was having another long drive Ohio State can't stop them right now but Lagerette Sp? Blunt couldn't handle a hand-off then kicked the ball up field. Nobody could get control of the ball and it went out of the back of the end-zone. instead of Oregon getting points and taking the lead back Ohio State has the ball at the 20.

Musburger and Herbstreit starting to lube Pryors nards.

Ranger Bob keeps posting nonsense about taking responsibility for Obama. This from the guy who spends his nights jerking off to his Dick Cheney posters. I keep erasing his posts he keeps posting. I have to admit the irony is comical.

Pryor returns the favor. Way under-throws a wide open receiver and the pass gets Intercepted by Oregon.

The Contessa just said what I was thinking. The Great White Storm Trooper and Herbstreit are talking about Pryor like he is the second coming then he goes out and throws a God awful pass like that.

Ranger is really getting pissed now. He left a post calling me is stupid friend which I erased. here is his last genius post which I also erased

Anonymous said...
Hmm what makes you think I am the ranger? Also what makes you think I need friends on a liberal piece of shit blogg?

Since you have not defended Obama on anything I said it appears that you agree with me.

I appreciate that! Happy new year asshole!

He's such a sweetie isn't he? How lonely do you have to be to keep posting on a blog where your posts keeping getting erased?

Well here we go it's going to the 4th Quarter and it's 19-17 Ohio State. Great Great game.

Despite only having 17 points I do not think Oregon has been stopped since the first quarter. They have themselves to blame.

Ohio State stopped them that time give them credit for manning up at mid field. I agree with a WSST this is Ohio State's kind of game.

WSST just said Terrell Pryor is closing in a Rose Bowl victory. Uh Douchebag it's 19-17 and there is 13 minutes left. A little pre-mature heh?

Sunset at Pasedena is most impressive. As much as I rip on Brent and Herby I have to admit they are worlds better than those Fox morans

Ranger just explained why he keeps posting even though I keep erasing his posts. His only other option is an Obese woman who won't give him sex. No I am not making this up. of course he calls her obese but how fat is he?

WHAT A CATCH! Pryor just threw it up and 86 went up and pulled it in! Then on the next play Pryor threw an easy screen pass and it was dropped. GREAT CATCH!

Thank you Ohio State and Oregon for giving us a dandy!

Offsides on the defense?

Herbstreit says good call and he wouldn't be biased would he? doesn't matter it was a first down anyway.

Herbstreit "this is Tressell ball he won't have a problem with running the ball and kicking another field goal and making Oregon drive to kick another field goal" so of course on the next play Ohio State throws a Touchdown pass. They review it but it's clear. 26-17 Ohio State

Herbstreit starting to show his bias now big time, WSST babbles about how great the camera crew is.

Ohio State's kick return defense has been flat God awful.

Forget what I said about Ohio State's defense they have been fantastic in this 4th quarter.

If you have a good field goal kicker you have to kick it.

And he missed it and Oregon is in serious shit now. Bad snap but I don't know if that was that big a deal.

Man do I want to do this for the Orange Bowl? I am getting tired. Why I do not know.

We get it Thursday night Alabama will skull fuck Texas. Alabama undefeated, Texas with one loss to Nebraska...oh that's right they got an extra second to hand them the game.

Ok please try and be professional ABC. It's clear WSST and Herby want Ohio State to win but show a little professionalism.

I bet the Ohio State radio broadcast would be less biased than ABC's

And here's the Gatorade.

Great game.

Ohio State played a great game and had a great season. Oregon played very well. I said this of 2008...

If I had to grade 2008 I would give it a B. Uneventful on a personal level but after 2006 and 2007 to some extent that's really not a bad thing. There is no question if I stopped and took stock of everything that has happened this year it would be more good than bad by a pretty fair margin.

I'd say the exact same thing of 2009. maybe even better than 2008.

Also it's the 3rd Anniversary of Banned And Dangerous. The original point of this blog was to post the idiocy of Conservative trolls. This pleasant post from Chinaskee was one of the first posts here and it shows how much many Conservatives embrace the "culture of life"

I
hate to burst all of your bubbles but you leftist schmucks didn't win anything

last November. The Democrats won and you aren't Democrats. Sure you might call
yourself Democrats but in reality you're just a bunch of leftist schmucks. You
won nothing. Ned Lamont lost. Tammy Duckworth lost. In fact the whole entire
"Let's Lynch George W. Bush " crowd lost. You schmucks on this board are nothing
but a shrill and vocal minority who have nobody looking out for you in
Washington. There will be no impeachment. There will be no surrender in the war
on terrorism. None of the things you powerless leftists morons wish for will
come to pass in the next two years. You're the useful idiots Lenin wrote about
and you're all too fucking stupid to even realize it. In closing I only have
this to say. I hope at least one of you America hating scumbags gets yourself killed by a drunk driver tonight. And I mean that most sincerely. And I hope when it happens you bleed for a long time before you finally gasp that final breath. Fuck all of you leftist bastards each and every one.
Chinaskee 12.31.06
- 10:12 pm #

After 2008 and the election of Obama the Chinaskee's of the world have only gotten crazier.; Thank you to everybody for the making the last 3 years great!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rangerbobfriends.blogspot.com/2009/12/happy-new-year-and-anniversary-to-bad.html' title='Happy New Year! Good feeling.

* the AFC picture is still murky, but the remaining seeds are set in stone: Indianapolis and San Diego have by weeks thought the Wild-Card Weekend (the Colts have home-field advantage for the rest of the playoffs); New England beats Jacksonville 35-7, wrapping up the AFC East; and Cincinnati wins against Kansas City 17-10, they claim the AFC North. The last loose ends to be taken care of are the remaining Wild-Card slots, and the 3rd and 4th seeds.

*Speaking of Wild Card spots: the Jaguars and Dolphins are both out thanks to those losses today, meanwhile the Pittsburgh Steelers stay alive by beating the Baltimore Ravens 23-20. Gotta give Big Ben credit: just when we thought the Steel Curtain had all but fallen against Cleveland, they get their shit together and stringed together a set of wins that signify, to me, the Chargers aren't the only dangerous team to look out for, should the Steelers get in.

Late Edit: More thoughts:

* The New York Jets beat the unbeaten Colts. Wait a minute, what the f@^k!?

* The Saints also lost again as well...to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's one thing to lose against a desperate team trying to stay alive in the postseason hunt. What does it say when you lose to a team with nothing to lose (and a team that's 2-12 on the season no less)?

* If there was a playoff-hopeful team that doesn't deserve to be in the postseason, it's the New York Giants. If you're a fan and you watched that monstrosity of a game, you have my sympathies. No heart and sure as hell demonstrated no pride for the fact that this was their last game at Giants stadium. As a result, the G-men get trounced by Carolina 41-9.

Thoughts And Prayers For Deb and Her Family.

Sadly Newshounds Deborah had passed away after a year long battle with an Brain aneurysm.
