We have had several of the ones like you show in our blackberry patch and in the vegetable garden. If they are in my way, I take the shovel (with the longest handle) and move them to another part of the garden.

I am trying to tread as lightly as possible on this land...

Great photos! We've had one that was a 'pet' (we fed her) for several weeks on our front porch. She has left two large egg sacs right beside our door - and we will probably move them to a plant before winter is over so we don't have thousands of tiny spiders crawling around right next to our door. They can get really huge! Did you know that they EAT their web every night, and then spin a new one?!! Cool huh! Talk about cleaning house!Emhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04451102661519375820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3534240.post-63659818160431641172008-09-30T04:04:00.000-07:002008-09-30T04:04:00.000-07:00eeeekkkk...spiders and basically all creepy-crawli...eeeekkkk...spiders and basically all creepy-crawlies give me the creeps...But it is a beautiful spider, can't deny that...LOL! And today I found a black widow in the mailbox. First one I've ever seen on our property (tho I'm sure there are many). I scooted it out.
