Very good gig (OK, with the occasional dodgy vocal), very good sound quality (sounds like a soundboard to me?), and some interesting arrangements - no doubt due, in part, to Deke Leonard's enforced absence.

Martin Ace says on the CD that Deke was missing due to a motorcycle accident - in fact he was still recovering from the stroke that he had suffered earlier that year.

A quote from their roadie Roger Hoodless from "The Welsh Connection" (Man fanzine) Dec 1996/Jan 1997 issue:

"There was a strange night in Zotsenbach. A hippy club that looked like the cover of 'Rhinos'...well, sort of! The stage had a triple arched wall to the front which opened onto an open area with tiered seats up to where the mixing desk was situated. In the middle of the floor was a huge coffee table, around which were sofas and easy chairs, so it was more like a party in a large living room.

It may have been me thinking that Deke would have loved this place but at a point during the intro to 'C'mon' I was checking the sound desk and I could swear Deke's guitar was playing. It was so clear in my head that I had to open my eyes and check the stage - that's as far as I got, for a clip-on mic on the drums decided to do the first of what was to be many suicidal leaps off the kit and rather spoilt the moment."

Excellent show, as are all of this tour. CS made a couple of mistakes on his guitar during the first 3 songs, but after that he was back in full glory as always.
We were in a perfect spot to see and record Santana. Sound was near perfect in the famous Verona Arena with a single echo at around 0.4 seconds, to be heard perfectly during the drums-solo.

Santana was in a great mood and played a couple of short inserts all over the set. Song # 20 i.e. features the melody from Spartacus, as my wife told me, followed by Greensleeves and then merges into a 4 minute blues.
Short mention of Sunshine of your love and another famous song, that I'm still working on to figure out.

We enjoyed the show very much and I hope you will too. Turn it up loud and dance !

No battery failure happened and the entire show is here for you in all its glory. I recorded many shows this summer and this one is soundwise still the best. Rating is an A-, the minus only for the clapping.

Here & Now played at University Of East Anglia on April 10th 1978.
Here & now also played in Leicester on June 15th with Daevid Allen and George Bishop.

This is an obscure show, it could even be a composite of various sources (disc 2 track 7 can also be found on the "Gong Xmas Party", Dec. 19th 1978).
Many tracks fade in and out, there are lots of cut and most of this tape is made of jams.
Quite hissy but enjoyable. Some is definitely soundboard, I'm not sure if there is some stage or audience recording (maybe deteriorated sbd).
Gilli Smyth can be heard at the end of track 7 disc 2.

I received this as show as 2 CDR's in a trade. Just three tracks (One 62 min.).
I retracked it, edited a repeated fragment, and crossfaded a cut (Disc 2 track 7, no music missing, so it is unnoticeable).

This concert (the original soundboard tape omitted the last songs from the show) was originally released on the 4-CD set ÒA Profile. The King On Stage,Ó in great quality, but this release features slightly improved sound. The last four songs were culled from a soundboard tape of the June 28 Milwaukee show (the original CD release used songs from Dayton, on the October tour, to replace the missing tracks).
Elvis gave a great tour in June-July of 1974, being very energetic on stage and vocally very strong. He also had a couple of new songs in the repertoire compared with the March tour, including a nice reworking of 1967Õs ÒBig Boss ManÓ (debuted on the short May tour on the West Coast and included in his May stand in Lake Tahoe). Elvis was in particularly good humor for this show, playing with the audience unmercifully at the start of the show, including an impromptu foray into two songs that seemed perennial favorites of his (ÒWhen My Blue Moon Turns To Gold AgainÓ and ÒBlue ChristmasÓ) before getting on with ÒI Got A Woman.Ó He even endorses Jimmy Dean sausages, at some point, for reasons known only to him. His aside ÒdonÕt you move, you big sumbitchÓ (after ÒAll Shook UpÓ) was directed toward a large stuffed animal, a gorilla, some girls had placed on stage.
A thoroughly enjoyable concert to listen to, this is, from start to finish. Elvis was in great form and really, really having fun with a great Kansas City audience. HeÕd be back in Vegas less than a month later, playing a very nice setlist and turning out some great performances (albeit, toward the stintÕs end, with disturbing undertones and a few such overtones), but the atmosphere of a stadium crowd with a larger, younger, and more fan-laden audience sees Elvis in his real element. As always, being there in the stadium on the night must have been orders of magnitude more exciting and amazing.

Elvis wore his new embroidered jumpsuits -- much lighter than the bejeweled kind with the capes -- on this tour. For the afternoon show he wore the American Eagle suit, an embroidered version of his classic "Aloha" eagle suit, and for this show he wore the Inca Gold Leaf suit, an embroidery take on the earlier and vastly heavier "Today" or "Pharoah" suit that he wore in 1973.

VG audience recording. There are some cuts between songs, so it's hard to tell whether or not this is the complete show. "Iron Man" and "Cornucopia" are missing, so these were either dropped from the set list or not recorded. Also, there is no "Sometimes I'm Happy" jam during "Wicked World". The speed correct running time of this tape is approximately 54 minutes. Shorter versions may simply have a faster playback speed, as I've found on a few versions.

Taper's Notes: "This is one of the first shows I recorded. It was the third or the fourth after the Rolling Stones in Milano, of which I have the tape somewhere... I've traded this tape several times in those years, so it may have reached you in form of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. generation recording or bootleg or CDR. It is also likely that you got the tapes recorded from some other fellows that night (the room was
plenty of tapers...). So I just offer my (copy of the) master version that, obviously, you cannot have."

Max Robinson (from Italy): "Regarding the Italian shows of 1973 in Brescia and Vicenza, one of the shows after the 1st song(Snowblind) and just after Ozzy's announcement for "Sweet Leaf", you can hear 2 guys shouting for "Paranoid". This one should be Brescia. The other of course is Vicenza. You talk about the warmth of the Italian fans during Tony Iommi's guitar solo. It all comes because of course Italians do admire guitarists but most of all because Tony has always been considered "Italian" by Italian fans. He probably does not even realize how deep their devotion is for him. Judging by his name and his looks his father should be from the south of Italy, I assume from Naples or around that area."

Reviewed by Guillaume Roos: "Good audience recording with tape hiss, a few drop outs plus several cuts and fade outs between songs. I guess we're once again confronted with some primitive editing."

"This was Black Sabbath's second show in Italy. The PA system seems to be in better shape than for the previous show. In the beginning, the guitar is pretty much drowning out everything and Ozzy's voice sounds very far away. The vocals are fixed by the end of "Snowblind", but the guitar is still very prominent in the mix. Geezer's bass can barely be heard."
"Concerning the performance itself, it is certainly as good as the Bologna gig. The guys might not be as imaginative during the improvisational sections ("Sometimes I'm Happy" is not performed), but they're delivering a way much more energetic show in Brescia. They definitely sound like they're having fun."

"The highlights on this recording include a brilliant early rendition of "Killing Yourself To Live". It's really heavy and powerful thanks to Bill Ward (who does an amazing job here) and a great blues guitar solo by Tony Iommi."
