After reading the first letter, Shawn knew that Tenille had put a lot of thought into what she wanted. Every bit of the paint represents something to Tenille; from her family and her life with them and Shawn thought it was a really cool idea. She was ready to mail the parts to Las Vegas, but it just so happened that Shawn was driving through Kansas one week after the email, so Darryl, Tenille's husband, disassembled the bike and met Shawn on the interstate on his way to Illinios, where he does his summertime shows. This is the first project of the summer, and these photos speak for themselves; taking you from prep to completion.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5640.jpg" width="400" /><br />Tenille had given Shawn lots of artistic freedom. It was Shawn's idea to put a gargoyle on the rear fender, watching her back.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5676.jpg" width="400" /><br />The front fender was going to be lettering, but since there's so much detail on the rest of the bike, he decided to put gargoyles on it, fading up to match the theme of the bike.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5683.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5678.jpg" width="400" /><br />Tenille was specific about having a deep, deep purple, and Shawn went one step further, adding pearl...No sissy colors!<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5685.jpg" width="400" /><br />Shawn liked the idea of gargoyles so much, that he just stuck with that theme throughout every part, including a gargoyle guarded castle on the tank. And of course, the lettering in the center, which reads "THE GUARDIAN".<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5684.jpg" width="400" /><br />Please look to the Bike Gallery to see final pictures of this bike completed.<br />Special thanks to Tenille and Darryl.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3474234797386002285-2392705343694674553?l=www.shawnealy.com%2Fnews'/></div>SEDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03332105033814057220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474234797386002285.post-75198170443003353582009-06-05T12:02:00.000-07:002009-06-05T12:40:40.916-07:00Friends & Family For Life<center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5602.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(My buddy Dale and his family)</em></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5603.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(Dale's Uncle Dennis with Shawn)</em></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5606.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5607.jpg" width="400" /></center><center> </center><center>(<em>Cody Day just gets taller and taller)</em></center><p align="center">"<em><span style="font-size:85%;">actually Shawn keeps getting shorter and shorter"<br /></p></span></em><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3474234797386002285-7519817044300335358?l=www.shawnealy.com%2Fnews'/></div>SEDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03332105033814057220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474234797386002285.post-63408667351730767692009-06-05T11:41:00.000-07:002009-06-05T12:12:58.296-07:00Berto's Beach Cruisin<center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5593.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><div align="left"><br />When working on Robert's beach cruiser A.K.A Berto to his friends and family, we could not get the image of cruisin' on a distant beach while drinking some beers. </div><br /><center></center><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5589.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(Thanks Robert for a wonderful canvas)</em></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5590.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(A classic fender treatment)</em></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5591.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(Just lookin at this bike makes ya want to be on a beach somewhere)</em></center><br /><br /><center><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5592.jpg" width="400" /></center><br /><center></center><br /><center><em>(No classic project can go without old school lettering of the rider's name)</em></center><br /><center><em></em></center><br /><div align="left">We look to see Berto hitting the beaches real soon..</div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3474234797386002285-6340866735173076769?l=www.shawnealy.com%2Fnews'/></div>SEDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03332105033814057220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474234797386002285.post-27326313720779575962009-06-05T11:03:00.000-07:002009-06-05T12:19:24.281-07:00Joe Angel's Hotrod<div align="left">Here we have Joe Angel busy custom designing jewerly in his shop. Shawn is airbushing a wolf, howling at the moon.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Bikes/images/100_5111.jpg" width="400"><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Bikes/images/100_5112.jpg" width="400"><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Bikes/images/100_5113.jpg" width="400"><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3474234797386002285-2929579203604781089?l=www.shawnealy.com%2Fnews'/></div>SEDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03332105033814057220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3474234797386002285.post-49492347013989533302008-10-13T14:16:00.000-07:002008-10-14T14:25:29.409-07:00Caleen's RhinoCaleen brought in her rhino for Shawn to paint. Her request was for the paintjob to be unisex. Together they decided on a tribal design, surrounded by a sheet metal effect, and a lace pattern.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_4986.jpg" width="400" /><br />After the rhino parts were sanded and primered, Shawn spent hours laying out the tribal design and taping it.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5020.jpg" width="400" /><br />After it was all taped up, Shawn sprayed purple and used cellophane to create a marble effect inside of the tribals.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5070.jpg" width="400" /><br />Then, Shawn used black pinstripes to outline the tribals.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5072.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/100_5075.jpg" width="400" /><br />The next step was the sheet metal effect. After Shawn finished that, he airbrushed hibiscus flowers and a lace pattern. He finished with a small pinstripe design.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5073.jpg" width="400" /><br />Shawn used the same process for the side panels and the tailgate, beginning with the marbelized tribal design, and finishing with the sheet metal, hibiscus and lace pattern, and a small pinstripe design. Then, he added the finishing highlights, using brown.<br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/100_5076.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/News/images/100_5029.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/100b5060.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/100_5026.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/dsc02453.jpg" width="400" /><br /><img src="http://www.shawnealy.com/Gallery/Misc/images/dsc02462.jpg" width="400" /><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3474234797386002285-4949234701398953330?l=www.shawnealy.com%2Fnews'/></div>SEDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03332105033814057220noreply@blogger.com0
