It's worse.

Slaves were owned for life, so there was the added expense of caring for them in childhood and old age. That was part of the industrialists' argument against slavery, that it was inefficient, too costly.

The best line is possibly, "the U.S. military has the ability to terminate contracts and keep people off of bases."

I.e., the military can start cleaning up after itself and doing KP if it wants to support human rights. Fat chance.

That's like expecting the US industries using those 11 million "illegal aliens" to call Homeland Security to expel them, and hire American citizens instead. Not gonna happen.

That's why you have outside parties inspecting these things if you want change, which this crowd doesn't, duh.

Best individual award for chutzpah goes to Schumtz, who stonewalled for a year, and then went to work for Blackwater.
