Here's my first attempt at drawing and painting an original. Up until now, all my work had incoporated collage items. I'm excited to display my very first original painting!

This is an orignal watercolor and acrylic painting done on a 2.5" x 3.5" trading card, otherwise known as an ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals).

Background paint is a metallic copper paint which doesn't reflect very well in the scan, but it is shiny and sparkly in person.

Totally Me- Retail Therapy Collage

This latest collage is so me! In fact, I don't know if I even want to sell it! :-) Retail Therapy is my favorite weekend activity- besides crafting of course!

Anyway, this collage is made on a 5 x 7 gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are covered with a pretty yellow ribbon. The collage itself was created using acrylic paint, fabric, vintage images, and paper. It is sealed with an acrylic coating to make this piece last!

An Old Friend

I tried out a new background technique with this collage. I used Elmer's glue and paint to create the weathered/crackle effect.

Created on a 5 x 7 canvas board, this collage was created using glue, paint, gesso, fabric, vintage images, and ribbon. The saying is "it takes a long time to grow an old friend- John Leonard."

This collage is also going with me to First Friday, so if it doesn't sell there, look for it in my Etsy shop next week!

My latest collage is full of bright colors and sweetness! This adorable little girl says "I'm strong, but I'm not seasoned." The collage is done on a 5 x 7 canvas board, and is made using acrylic paint, vintage images, and paper.

She's not yet for sale in my Etsy shop because I'm taking her to the First Friday art event in Phoenix tonight. If she doesn't sell there, she'll be in my Etsy shop next week!

New Custom Photo Collages

Today was my cousin's 20th birthday and to celebrate, I made a custom photo collage. I used an image of her, plus some of her favorite things, nickname, etc to create this unique collage. She absolutely loved it, and it turned out so well that I decided to offer these custom collages for sale in my Etsy shop!

This collage makes me laugh. At first I was going for a love theme- but when I looked at the picture closely, the woman doesn't seem to be quite into it. I found this great little quote out of an old romance novel, and it all came together quite nicely!
