Raffle Sales Extended until Thursday August 6!

President Todd Randall says, "This fund raiser is a key event to help offset banquet costs to the members and also to raise enough money to really have an awesome banquet with quality door prizes, raffle prizes and other giveaways."

Tickets are available online here for $25.75 each, plus 30¢ per order. We have added a 75¢ per ticket and 30¢ per order fee which just covers our PayPal expense in offering this to you. Todd Randall will scan and email your numbered ticket to you. Your ticket will be entered and we will keep track of your entry for you. If you come to the drawing, we will have your ticket available for you. You do not need to be at the drawing to win. Details on prize delivery/pick up to follow. Thursday's "Beach Meeting" at White Beach, Manchester, MA features a U.S. Coast Guard Jay Hawk helicopter performing a simulated at sea rescue by deploying a Rescue Swimmer and demonstrating the various techniques involved with an air rescue mission. At 4:30 there will be an underwater navigation contest. At 5:15 the Environmental Police will discuss changes in the laws that affect the diving community. The Air Rescue demonstration begins at 6. We will also observe a moment of silence in memory of our dear friend and buddy Paul Blanchette, Jr.More Details

The North Shore Frogmen's Club is heartbroken to confirm that the body of Paul Blanchette, Jr. was recovered this morning at approximately 11:30 AM, not far from the wreck of the Chester Polling, where he had been diving when he went missing on Monday afternoon. Paul was a good friend to many of us here at the NSF and we will miss him dearly. When we learn of memorial services, we will post their details to our Breaking News section. The hearts of our members go out to Paul's family.

The Frogmen offer our prayers for the speedy recovery of Ted Barnes who suffered a tragic diving accident last week. Ted was injured when a boat that he had been cleaning underwater started up its propeller while Barnes was still beneath it. His condition has been upgraded to "good" at at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital.
