I say they should start selling a bunch of bonds so we can just defer that debt until we print off more George Washingtons. And I think that we agree that anything Bush wants rushed through is going to have some degree of stink on it. If I were in any kind of power, I would make sure that in this bailout the executives would need to tighten their belts a whole lot more than the regular workers. Make these people sell off a car or a boat or one of their homes and still live more comfortably than most of us. Maybe they could try driving themselves, or flying coach or cooking their own dinner. They need to take one for the team, for once!Jasonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17601863377056165200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442230.post-26528185461821480382008-09-23T11:04:00.000-07:002008-09-23T11:04:00.000-07:00Amen, brother.B-\-----Amen, brother.

B-\

-----doctor chiphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07744659454248563363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442230.post-40697847056848575832008-09-23T10:39:00.000-07:002008-09-23T10:39:00.000-07:00Wow, the Senate taking a closer look at something?...Wow, the Senate taking a closer look at something? Truly amazing, considering the past, as you have said. Now all we need them to do is to not only look at it, but make the most intelligent decision based upon the facts and not the W's administration's kneejerk reaction to try to save the economy to save face, because I'm sure that's all they're trying to do.

Some of the businesses and organizations hit by this fallout SHOULD be bailed out, simply because having them crumble means the end worker will get screwed by the economic nuclear winter if they do. But not all, and only that which is necessary to keep the whole thing from collapsing. The rest can go spin for all I care -- welcome to capitalism.

I'm hoping that's what the end result will be, and that lawmakers only agree to intelligent provisions, but that's only hope, and this administration hasn't given me much of that.tarsi210http://www.blogger.com/profile/02373809258182250844noreply@blogger.com
